Just read on the rent/trade board that someone called central reservations and was quoted a price of $410.00 per night for a Tower Room at the Contemporary for the third week of October. I can stay in a Boardwalk Villas studio for $37.50 a night. ($600. annual dues divided by 16 nights)

Aren't you glad you are a DVC member !!!!! :)

You can't just take the dues and divide them. You must look at the actual cost of the initial joining of DVC.($10,000.00 and up (Points)

dtheboys,

I bought 150 points at Boardwalk Villas at $65. a point. Total cost $9750. I got 44 years worth of points starting then. 16 nights a year times 44 equals 704 nights. Divide $9750 by 704 nights equals $13.85. Add $13.85 to $37.50 (dues) equals $51.15 a night for a Boardwalk Villa studio. Sure beats $410. a night.

Dreams Unlimited got us 3 nights in the Contemporary Tower for about $250 per night (with Ohio residents discount). Previously, we had a reservation through Disney Club for $333 per night on the concierge lite floor. I guess that if I'm paying for 3 additional nights, I need more points.
