The six days of christmas ** UPDATED **

ok so before i begin my first three days which were less than perfect, i wanted to show that despite it all we had some great memories. I am also feeling much less negative as we really enjoyed the parks and i dont want to take anything away from that

i have one pic of me the whole trip. me and ash went on cars in the studios and i was taking a pic of ash and the cm came over and asked would i like him to take a pic of us together. it was really nice of him. i hate having my pic taken anyway so i prefer to just take ash lol.

Day One Sunday 8th November

Me Sonya 24, third trip, loves everything disney

My Mam, 51, third trip, totally loves it now after i converted her lol. loves cruella

DD Ashleigh, 2, third trip, total disney nut, loves all the characters.

Getting there

Woke up at around seven and was still throwing stuff in the case when it was time to leave at 8.45. We got to the airport ten minutes later and were the first to book in as always lol.

We met my aunt and cousin as they were going with us and after what seemed a lifetime it was time to board. The plane journey was uneventful as always and in no time we were in cdg. I had booked a transfer with ezy shuttle and they were there waiting for us.

There was no queue to check in at the santa fe and i found out i didnt get the room i had requested but they cant please everyone. However our room was up two flights of stairs. My mam wasnt happy and i offered to go and change rooms but she said no to make a fuss. To be nice i lifted everything up the two flights of stairs and left my mam mind ash. Our room was really cold which is strange for the santa fe and usually the hotel is very well heated. I guessed we had arrived while the heating was off and thought nothing of it. Our block was quite shabby but i was in disney so i wasnt to fussed.

My aunt was staying in the cheyenne so we arranged to meet up. Although some wires got crossed and we ended up going to the cheyenne and my aunt went to the santa fe and between it all it was nearly four when we got to the parks i was not pleased :lmao:

Main st look beautiful with the christmas tree, i love the new stage and i actually wouldnt mind the mickey and co on the castle if it actually fit over the window properly. Of course my mam wans to start looking in shops while i want to get stuck in. MMP show is on so ash races down main st to watch it. I like this show, it has a lot of energy and the song is really catchy.

We then headed to IASW as it was closing the next day for the christmas makeover. We only got on it once but we had no wait which was good. While on the ride i got a txt from emma so i headed down along the parade route to meet up. We watched the OUAD parade together and afterwards my mam and aunt left to get something to eat.

The plan had been to eat in annettes before we went into the park but we were too late. I decided i would just starve lol. Me, emma and the girls headed through belles christmas village and saw that casey jr was open yey. It was the only time i got on this ride this trip as well. Before we got on we spotted pooh in his christmas clothes so we got a pic each and one of the girls together.

We then wandered around a bit and kyra said she was hungry, so were me and ash. We ended up in the hyperion and got two kids meals each :rotfl: They were not nice at all. The burgers were cold and hard. At least we ate the chips and the girls were glued to the tv screens.

We watched the tree and castle lighting ceremonies.

I then met up with my mam and aunt and we brought ash on buzz and orbitron while emma got a spot for fantillusion. I couldnt find her so we watched it on our own but got stuck next to this guy with a huge backpack who just shoved it in ashleighs way and she couldnt really see anything. It was quite rude. We enjoyed the parade and then headed to the village. I got a take out in annettes which wasnt very nice and we headed back to the santa fe. Ash fell asleep and i fiddled with the heating praying it would come on. It didnt and ash spent half the night waking up with the cold. Not great as she was already sick.

Day 2 Monday 9th Nov

We didnt get much sleep the night before. Ashleigh kept waking up with the cold so we woke up late. We walked up towards reception at around 9.30 and the queue was past the shop so we decided to forget breakfast. We had also missed emh but we decided to go to salon mickey for the first time yey.

we were left out the door just inside the turnstyles and i felt very special lol. I spotted a crowd so grabbed ash and ran and saw that sleeping beauty was doing a meet and greet just before you enter the park. I saw this a lot this week. She was really lovely and made a big fuss of ash and her cinderella dress. We were doing the princess meal today and i really hoped that if sleeping beauty was there it would be her as i have previously seen pics of and heard of a really miserable aurora and didnt want to meet her.

my mam had a quick look in the shops as she was searching for a red tin she had seen. this got old really quick just ask emma :sad2: We went to fantasyland and went on snow white and ash hated it. she said it was scary and she didnt want to go on it again. We went on peter pan although it took a bit of convincing but she decided that one wasnt scary. Next up was ashleighs fave ride potc but again she decided she doesnt like it anymore. She loves the ride just not the drops. She did go on it once a day though bless her.

My aunt rang to meet up but it was almost time to go to the princess meal so we said we would meet up later. We went into the shop near the auberge and ash picked out a princess lanyard starter kit and a snow white pin.

We went into the auberge and ash was first to meet cinderella. I didnt know i had to leave the buggy outside so i had to go back out with it and when i came in ash had her pics taken and all. I wasnt pleased as i didnt have time to fix her or tell her smile with your teeth lol

We loved the auberge. Ash loved loved loved the mice and they were dancing around with them.

Aurora who of course was the miserable one. She came over and ash got really shy which she does a lot with people never mind characters now. I said come down and speak to sleeping beauty so ash came down and pointed across the room and said look the mice are over there. Aurora was not amused and said ugh fine under her breath and moved on after a quick pic.

The other princesses more than made up for it. We had a lovely table right next to the fireplace and saw belle and the prince dance. Me and ash loved our food except for the starters but i was expecting that. My mam ate nothing it was such a waste. My aunt came into us to see what was taking so long so she ate the end of my mams dessert as she had been waiting for hours at this stage and had nothing to eat :lmao:

We watched the end of the mmp show. Ash had to stop every time it was on she loved it. We then headed over to the studios. We had missed stars and cars so i hoped we would see it later in the week.

We saw chip and dale come out for a meet and greet. Ash ran over to them and had a cuddle. Never mind the hat lol its mine she decided it was warmer than hers.

Then we saw emma and krya, it wouldnt be a character scrum without them lol. Next we met minnie.

We had been waiting for stitch live so went to see that. Fantastic as always and next up was playhouse disney. We all loved this it was great. Emma and kyra were there as well so we watched it together. We said goodbye as they were going to watch stitch live at this stage. Sulley wasnt at his meet but ash loves the green fella as she calls him so a pic was a must. Then we met donald.

We headed back to the main park. Again my mam wanted to go in search of the red tin and my aunt still hadnt eaten. Ash wanted to go on buzz and cried the whole time as she was fed up of the shops. I said i was taking her to buzz so my mam said she would look for the tin later and my aunt said she could learn to starve :rotfl: We all went on this and loved it as usual.

We also went on orbitron. Ash didnt want me to let go of her so we stayed down low. My mam and aunt hate heights so i was shocked to see them up on top. They came off quite in shock and legged it when the cm asked did they want to ride again :rotfl2: They both kept their eyes closed and what happened is my aunt thought the lever was a hande and didnt realise she was making the rocket go up high :lmao:

My mam and ash were exhausted and my aunt was starving so we decided to leave the park. We watched the tree lighting and headed to the village.

We had a mcdonalds and walked back to the santa fe. My aunt wanted to go to the shop in the garage so she came with us. I quickly checked if the room was warm. It was freezing and the phone wouldnt connect me to reception so i went up to ask to have it fixed. I explained my child was sick tired and cranky so i would need it fixed now or be moved. I was told go back to the room someone will be there straight away. Thirty five minutes later i rang to reception and was told they were busy so i could either wait or move. I decided to move ash i really needed to get ash to sleep. I was told i could have a ground floor room in the next block. We go there and we were on the first floor so up a load of steps again. It was nice and warm so we unpacked and my mam went up to the shop. I got ash ready for bed. I saw a huge spider on the ceiling which fell on my bed. That got my attention so once my mam came back and got rid of him i had a look around as i have a phobia of spiders. I saw round black things on the wallpaper border. My mam poked them dont ask me why and beetle bug things started crawling out of everywhere. She killed 11 of them and reception wouldnt pick up the phone from me. Ash had fallen asleep so we had to stay there. We left the lights on and layed down by the end of the beds. I didnt sleep i just bawled my eyes out. I was so disgusted sleep was not an option.

You had a great day except for the hotel. Ash has great stamina to keep going all day, my Natasha has to have a sleep after lunch to recharge her batteries. You did well to get Ash on pirates. It used to be a favourite of Natasha's too, but yesterday, after asking to go on it, we had just gone inside when she didn't want to go any further. You never know what is going on in their minds. I wouldn't even try to take her on Snow White or Pinocchio. Looking forward to seeing your pictures & reading more.

i am in the middle of trying to make my pics into a video but got a bit stuck so i made a short video of ash meeting characters during this trip. Her faves were definately Jack Sparrow, Chip n Dale, Ariel and Belle. Although to be honest she loves all of them :rotfl2:

Day 3 Tuesday 10th November

ok so next morning we were all exhausted again and ash was a bit cranky.I phoned down to reception to detail my problem with the room and i wanted it cleaned by the time we got back in the evening. Ash didnt even want to get up and get dressed but she met pluto in the santa fe which lifted her spirits a bit.

We missed breakfast again so headed to salon mickey which would be lovely if ash would stay there for more than three minutes :lmao:

We queued up to meet Goofy Santa as i was determined to get stuff done today. He was a bit late but there were only three in front of us in the queue so we werent waiting too long.

We went into the shop by snow whites ride and ash chose a crown and wand to match her dress. We then went on the pinnochio ride which ash decided she didnt like again. Next up was the carousel and then the tea cups.

I had been trying to txt emma again but my phone had gone wonky. We went to the belle meet and greet to find the beast there instead. Ash wasnt too sure at first but me the cm and the beast told her it was ok, he wasnt scary *** he turns into a prince if you kiss him. So ash took a pic and then he called her back for a kiss lol. Later in the week ash tried to convice kyra that the beast wasnt scary but she wasnt having any of it lol.

Then we had to try meet up with my aunt who did three rounds of the park on the train before she realised what was the fantasyland stop. We went back to the meet and greet area to meet belle.

Me and ash went upstairs in the castle to have a look and we saw the dancers for the sleeping beauty show

As i was walking downstairs i noticed the snow white show was starting so we went to watch that. Me and ash really liked it, it was cute. Afterwards the characters come down by a rope to take pics. Ash met dopey which she loved as he is her fave dwarf

Then the funniest thing happened. Snow White and her prince were walking up and down waving. Next the prince grabbed snow whites arm and pointed straight at ash and her dress and literally ran right over. He looked so excited bless him :rotfl:

Everyone decided they were starving so we headed to the village to have lunch at the rainforest. My aunt didnt enjoy this at all, which was sort of annoying as i had showed her the menu and the prices before we went in. I dont moan about money at disney as i know what i am going to spend before i go. In any case ash had lasagne and ate loads, my and my mam loved ours and we even got a table next to the elephant which ash loved. We had the same lovely waitress as last time and we even had a discount voucher thanks to a kind diser. So all in all a good meal for me.

After lunch we had a look in some shops in the village and i checked the schedule to see what we would do next. We had missed stars and cars again and i was not happy lol. We decided to go see the next showing of mickeys winter wonderland show. Me and ash love it and my aunt hadnt seen it yet.

Afterwards we had a wonder around fronteirland and adventureland. My mam and aunt wanted to go on potc and i noticed ash was being a bit too quiet. Heres why lol

They went on the ride while i looked in the shop. We had a look in some shops making our way back to main st. it was close to five and my mam and aunt had had enough for the day. i had been trying to txt emma so i said i would catch up with them later. Of course my phone was acting up and sending messages twenty minutes later so i didnt catch up with emma. As ash was still asleep i watched the ouad parade.

After deciding there wasnt much left to do on my own with a sleeping child i left the park at 6.30. Then i realised i couldnt ring my mam to see was she in the hotel room. The thought of going back there alone made me a little ill so i was desperate to think of something to do. Ash woke up with ahem a little help from me and i begged her to come into cafe mickey. She insisted she wasnt hungry and i really wasnt either so we made our way back to the hotel.

Our room hadnt been touched and the bugs were still there and even some new ones. I rang reception again and a little more forceful this time as i was at the end of my tether with the hotel. A few minutes later the night manager came to our room. He rang reception and told them to put the room out of order. He gave us the option of moving to the next block and having dinner in the hotel for free or move to the sequioa which i jumped at. I had already contemplated upgrading at a cost myself.



We packed our stuff up again third time lucky lol. We went to reception and the manager brought us to the sequioa in his car. We had to wait about twenty minutes but it was worth it. We got a montana room with a lake view. I could see cm studio 2 and panaramagique.

As you can see ash was very happy to get out of the spidery bug hotel as she now calls it :rotfl:

Another late night for us as it was gone 11 by the time we got into the room. Thank god ash had had two hours sleep already.

DAY FOUR - WEDNESDAY 11TH NOVEMBER

I woke up this morning definately more positive. we loved the hotel and couldnt wait to get down to breakfast.

i love that they seat you and there is a much better selection of food than the santa fe. yey for individual yoghurts :rotfl: ash got a pic with eeyore and she didnt want to leave him. he was rocking her in his lap like a baby so cute

we found our way outside not noticing the teeny tiny elevator to take you to down to the breakfast area and also the way to walk to the parks. whats with this elevator its super small and a bit strange to only have one :confused3 ok promise that is my only complaint lol

we headed to the park and did some fantasyland rides like dumbo, cups, carousel. i was txting emma and she said she was in the studios so we headed over there. my mam and aunt were going to val deurope today so after we watched merry christmas walt disney studios and met cruella it was time for me to walk my mam back to the train station to meet my aunt. i had to borrow her phone as mine had packed up lol. we had been queuing to meet some characters but i had to go and when i came back emma was still in the queue so yes i got back in line :eek:

i had a reservation at walts but didnt fancy eating there on my own so i asked emma could we join her and kyra at cafe mickey. the girls had a great time together and me and ash enjoyed our pizza again. emma had some sort of alcohol burger that i cant quite figure out :rotfl2:

after cafe mickey we headed back to the main park and watched mmpt show. the girls were dancing around the place having a great time. a bit hard to get good pics though

DAY FOUR PART 2

so after the mmp show emma had to meet up with her friend and she also needed to buy some presents without kyra seeing them. ash was more than happy to keep her occupied she really thinks they are now best friends lol

after some sneaky shopping we all decided to character stalk together. this is where ash tried to convince kyra that the beast isnt scary but that girl knows her mind :rotfl: she wasnt budging. the girls ran around for a while and soon belle came out.

next up we saw mary poppins who was lovely and asked ash did she take her spoonful of sugar.

then we headed towards adventureland to find aladdin. he came out and went straight into the agrabah cafe and emma got some nice pics but ash was hanging back. aladdin came out and saw her and tried to take her hand to bring her over to the meet and greet spot but bless her she nearly lost her life. she thought he was trying to take her away from me. he said if she changed her mind to come right over to him. ash didnt lol and that wasnt our last run in with aladdin :rotfl2:

emmas friend then had to go so we headed over for the woody meet and greet. this was just a disaster. instead of having it inside woodys roundup village where people can queue he was outside. we were already queuing inside so had to run out. there was loads of pushing it was horrible but woody was brilliant. he made everyone make a circle around him and he put his hand over his eyes and spun around. luckily the first person he stopped at was ash. poor emma and kyra had to wait ages. even in this pic you can see some kid trying to shove his teddy at woody.

at this stage time was pushing on and emma still had money to spend so we had a look around the shops. ash had fallen asleep so we watched the parade and i got a chance to film it yey. after that it was time for emma to head to the train station so i walked out with her. i headed back to the hotel and met my mam and aunt who had finished their shopping in val deurope. they got loads. we walked my aunt back to the cheyanne and then caught the bus back to the park.

ash woke up and wanted to go on buzz as usual. by the time we got to the park it had gotten ridiculously cold. it was the only time i was cold all week. i bought ash the giant minnie fuzzy hat from earlier to keep her warm lol. we went on buzz and then decided we couldnt stick the cold, ash was shivering. so we headed back to out hotels and my aunt said she would come down to us later for a drink in the bar.

it was really lovely not having to wrap up to leave your room. i got a glowtini and i wish i could find my glowcube :rotfl: it was 14 euros but nice for a once off. i headed up to the room with ash after that and got her settled in for bed.

DAY 5 THURSDAY 12TH NOVEMBER

today we made it for breakfast for a change. it was nice being seated and the selection of food was good. after that we headed back upstairs to grab our coats and bags bliss :rotfl:

goofy was doing a meet and greet so ash queued up

we headed into the main park first and saw the horsedrawn streetcars were out.

we went to fantasyland and did our usual rides.

we went on potc hoping ash would get over her fear of the drop. again ash was terrified lol. i just need to convince her the drop is small then she loves the rest of it

after this my mam went off to get my aunt and they spent some time looking in shops. my mam was still searching for this all elusive red tin that nobody but her saw. my aunt didnt want to go to cafe mickey so it was just me and ash.

as i was heading out for my cafe mickey reservation we bumped into one of the ugly sisters leaving a meet and greet. we ran over and asked for a quick photo she was so nice and spent time chatting with ash asking about her dress.

after that i really had to run for my cm reservation. ash was so happy to go back. this is her fave place to eat.

we met a good few characters again. mostly the same as yesterday but ash didnt mind.

afterwards i made a mad dash for the studios to try catch stars and cars. a very nice woman let us squeeze in when i told her my dd decked out in her ariel dress wand and crown had been hoping to get a pic with her. we stood at the side by cinemagique. we didnt have a great view of the show but saw a lot of characters. ariel was walking around and i jumped around like a lunatic while pointing at ash hoping she would see her. she did and i was so grateful, it made ashleighs day.

thanks elaine. yeah the two girls got on great ash was sad when they went home. she was asleep in the buggy and didnt believe me when i said they were gone lol.

i love the meet and greet area in the sl. the characters were so friendly
