Once you borrow points for a reservation, what happens if you have to cancel that reservation? Do the points revert to the regulat use year or do they stay in the borrowed category?

I'm pretty sure they stay in the current use year you are in and do not return to the next year they were borrowed from. If you cancel less than 30 days out, they go into a holding account that can only be used on a 60 day notice.

They stay borrowed and need to be used by the end of the use year. Also, if you cancel 30 days or less before arrival, all points, borrowed, banked or regular go into a holding account and all must be used by end of use year and ressies can be made only 60 days or less before arrival. Thus, if you must cancel make sure to do it at least 31 days out.
