I am looking for a seat sale for February to Los Angeles. We are going to fly from Grande Prairie or Edmonton. What is a good seat sale price? Right now I am getting about $300 per person including taxes one way. Should I wait it out?
TIA

You can get the WJ direct flight from Edmonton for under $250 return including taxes right now.
What you will be able to get for February will depend on whether there is a school holiday close by or the day of the week.
Check the WJ website and / or Kayak.com to get an idea of the prices.
If you can't get a direct flight consider flying in to Long Beach rather than LAX. Small airport, short reasonable taxi to DL.
WJ also has kids, 17 or under, fly free to the end of Jan for their vacation packages. I suspect that this will be extended. Check the Westjet Vacations website for more on this.

I would love that deal...but we are going in early Feb. I wonder if there is any chance of a deal like that for the new year?

The best I found for the middle of February was $169 each way or $465pp roughly round trip with taxes
However back in September we were able to go Edmonton to LAX for $300pp round trip with taxes
These were both with West Jet however Air Canada was offering the same prices for the Mid February trip

My suggestion is to watch the airline websites frequently. Their prices change daily ( even during the day). I'm sure there will be deals for February soon. We are flying from Calgary to LA for $99 one way at the end of January on aircanada.

I agree with the PP's. The seat sales and all inclusive sales go on first week after Christmas break. We are waiting for the 99 dollar sale to LAX for our May trip:thumbsup2 We consistently find the best deal on flights through travelocity.ca.:goodvibes

We are closer to Edmonton then Calgary, BUT have found the savings in flying out of Calgary are huge compared to flying out of Edmonton, the extra 2.5hr drive will be less then the amount u save on just one flight, and Calgary tends to have better flight times as well.
I suggest watching the sites daily or signing up for the email updates, just this past week they had flights to LAX out of YYC for $69 each way. Not sure when u had to take them by, but it is possible!
Good Luck finding what u need.

Westjet had it, A friend of mine got it. BUT Air Canada does tend to match them when they blow out seats like that. So check both.

Thanks guys. I am getting OCD about this. I must be checking WJ and AC 6 times a day. Yeah those prices do change frequently. I will fly out of Grande Prairie unless I get a real good deal out of Edmonton. I will keep an eye on Travelocity.

Good idea. For our Christmas trip to WDW I noticed some decent prices (around Feb or so) for our dates on United but checked Air Canada just for fun as they are codeshare partners. As it turns out I got the exact same flights for even less through AC! We got those seats for $2400 for the four of us. Those same 4 tickets today, are going for over $6000!!:scared1:
Remember if you see a price that is OK to you, grab it because they go away fast.

I'd suggest checking out some of the US carriers as well.
