Yay! We are booked for a party of 9... four staterooms on deck 8 way forward...
Me, DH, DD (age 4.5 at cruise time), my mom, MIL, FIL, SIL, BIL, and their kid (aka DN [dear neice], age 3.5 at cruise time).
Plus (not yet booked but waiting for quotes from DU) is my DD's godmother and her mother (the great-godmother?).
We are a mix of experience: my mom and the godmother are vetran cruisers (but never on DCL); DH and I have been on 1 cruise (RCCL); SIL & BIL honeymooned on a short Disney cruise; and MIL, FIL, great-godmother and the two girls have never cruised before.
My MIL is a total Disney fanatic; loves all things Disney, so I'm sure she will fit in just fine.
DH thinks I'm totally insane for booking a trip 19 months away, but oh well... !

I have to be careful w/ my planning since DH does not know yet.
I booked an oceanview cabin, but am thinking about upgrading to a verandah. I need to decide soon before prices go up.

Hi, my family and I will also be joining you on the ship. We are me, the grandma, Linda; my DD Beth and my DGD Kayla who will be 9. This will be my 4th DCL cruise (I am going on the EB TA in April 2010) and their 3rd DCL cruise. Kayla said after the last one this past summer that she wanted to try another boat next time. I had been looking at RCCL with all their rock walls, mini golf, ice skating, etc and that's what she was into. But when I showed her the aquaduck - well, it was another story! I'm glad because I think I'm pretty spoiled by Disney and even though I had been looking elsewhere, I wasn't really ready to commit. So, baring any unforseen problems, we will be there and I'm so excited! When I'm on the Magic in April, I am going to look into booking another to make it a back to back! How about 9 or 10 days and 3 or 4 times at CC?? Am I nuts?!

We are Terri (mom), Kenny (dad), Jennifer (DD 17) and David (DS 15). This will be our 5th Disney Cruise and our kids' 4th. Can't wait to be back on board a Disney ship. It is my children's favorite place to vacation.

Just put our deposit down last week. Me, DH and DS who will be 11 at sailing. Sailed on a 7-day Western back in August and now we're hooked. So excited for two glorious days at Castaway Cay. There was construction going on in August and I know they're adding so much between now and 2011...can't wait to see it Only regret is that it's not a 7-day...worried it will be too short of a trip!!

I've got so long to wait for this cruise and am so excited. I have also been thinking it may be too short, considering b2b cruise but we'll have to see about the money.
I finally caved and told DH that I booked cruise. I was going to keep it a surprise but felt guilty about spending money without telling him::MickeyMo

pirate: DS, Luke (4)

Grandpa Jerry (young at heart :) )
This will be my wife and I's 3rd cruise, 2nd for the rest of the party. We were just on the Wonder for 4 nights (CC Double dip). It was so great!! My wife and I's first DCL was on our Honeymoon back in '99, after waiting 9 years for the same experience I didn't want to do the same... And with a new ship hitting the fleet, what better time to set sail again... I'd like to make this a bit of a tradition every 3-4 years hit the open water!! :D Need that much notice to make it affordable needing 2 rooms... But wouldn't change it for anything.
Anyway, glad to be on the group, maybe we can make a "Master List" as we go on??
Have fun and we'll chat more!!!

We booked this cruise while onboard the 12/17 Wonder (our first cruise) while sailing in rough seas with gale force winds!!!!! It will be me (Sherrie) and DH, Bret.
This will be our 4th disney cruise. We have an upcoming cruise on May 30th on the Wonder but couldn't wait that long to book on-board. Can you believe that this trip cost less than the 5 night I'm taking this May? Plus, I upgraded to category 6 since they won't have cat. 7 (navigator's verandah) on the Dream. I guess it really does matter to book early.
Our other 2 cruises to the Bahamas were in late May/early June and the weather was either perfect or near perfect for cruising. The 2 days at CC are just wonderful!
I look forward to chatting with everyone for the next year and a half.

We're booked also! We just got off the Magic yesterday and rebooked while we were on board. We also were worried that 5 nights would be too short so we booked back to back ( 3rd and the 7th). Only bad thing was they didn't have any connecting Cat 10s or 9s for both cruises. They didn't even have any close to each other and we really don't want to have to move rooms between cruises. So we had to book connecting cat 11s. I'm not thrilled about that but we really don't spend much time in our rooms so I'm trying to look on the positive of saving money. We met some great disers onboard and they booked the same cruises! So did my sister and family who were with us! My kids became friends with the dis kids and loved hanging out with them- also another dis family might book also!
Anyway, unless we have to change dates there will be

David- husband
DS 18

DS 14
DS 12
Sister and her husband and their kids- DS 21, DS 18

We're almost under the 500 day mark!!! :P According to my DVC countdown clock we have 517 Days, 10 hours, 32 min and 20 seconds until we set sail!! :P This is going to be very exciting. It will be my wife and I's 3rd, Inlaw and the kids 2nd... I really want to make this a every 2-4 year occurrence for us... With a family of 6 needing 2 rooms we need that long to make it affordable.. ;) But the kids can't stop talking about it already. I tried to put it in kid timeframe, they need to have 2 birthdays before it's close... :)
2 birthdays can't come fast enough!! :D

Hi we're joining you, too!!
Just moved our ressie today from the May 29th, 2010 due to some family circumstances. It is torture for me to have to wait an entire year now, when I was almost at the 90 day mark!!
My family includes me, husband, and 2 daughters 17 & 13 at cruise time.
Travelling with husbands brother, wife, and 3 daughters - 13, 10, & 7. Grandma is coming, too, so we'll have 10 total.
This will be our 4th Disney cruise- very excited about all the new activities on the Dream!!
Don't have a cruise counter, yet, anyone know how many days?

02-16-2010, 10:31 PM
We're booked on the 6/7 Dream for now. Once the fall school calendar comes out, if the 'fall break' returns, we might move to a fall cruise if the price is right. Since they only have 3/4 day cruises then, it's going to have to be a really good price for us to switch. Will be our 6th cruise and 5th on DCL. Will be myself, my wife and 3 boys who will be 17, 14 and 9 when we sail.

Hi all! While this seems like a wonderfully great group to cruise with, I regretfully have to remove my name from the list. :sad2: We ended up moving to the 6/12/11 cruise. We've had so much snow this year, we are already going to have schoo 2 extra days. I'm afraid if next winter is like this one, DD would still be in school on the 7th.
Hopefully some of you will be doing a B2B and I'll see you on the 12th!

Hi! I'm Michelle's (mrp4352) mom. I couldn't stand it. I upgraded us to a cat 5D, connecting rooms with a verandah (6152,6154) today. I have really enjoyed the vernadah in the past, I think it will be worth the money. I'm excited too because the Cruise sight says the connecting verandah's can be opened up between the two rooms. Can't wait to tell the kids. We're going with my DS, DDIL and 3 DGDs (7,5,4 at sailing). Looking forward to making many new friends! :woohoo:

Hi, everyone! I'm just checking in. I have been trying to keep up with my EB TA thread. It's April 10. We are so chatty over there that we can make 10 pages a day sometimes! Anyway, I just saw this thread up top of the page so I thought I'd see what's going on here. After my cruise, I'll be here more often. Welcome to all the new families!! I don't think Irish Cowboy is on our cruise. He is the keeper of the meets threads. I think he was saying he added our thread to the Dream 2011 master list.
Hi All!... We're thinking of booking this sailing but i'm surprised why there's no inside or oceanview available anymore. Anyone heard if its all sold out? Thanks!!

:wave2:Hey everyone!
We did indeed end up booking this cruise. It seems the week after posting that we were considering this cruise, all of the inside and ocean view were booked up! :scared1:We freaked and booked before our Wonder cruise March 4. :eek:Luckily, we have been able to find rooms for a few of our friends, after weeks of trying I might add...
In one cabin-
Vina, known by us as Vi.-60's, one of my grandma's best firemds
Johnny-Vi's son 37.
They live in a super small town in Illy, right along the Illy KY boarder
In another cabin-
Jason-43. My mom's friend from highschool. He went with us on our cruise this March. Lives in Oregon.
In the last cabin (for now!lol)
Carmalinda, Carm to us-late 30's?....lol She and the rest of the family live in......drumroll please......EXOTIC CANADA!!!! :rotfl:http://http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.eimed.ca/canadian-flag.jpg&imgrefurl=http://askville.amazon.com/Canadian/AnswerViewer.do%3FrequestId%3D41766421&usg=__Q5CiK3DH6ENypsfSBCg07FZIVoY=&h=319&w=480&sz=18&hl=en&start=17&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=pGRUYLWZrI7oEM:&tbnh=86&tbnw=129&prev=/images%3Fq%3DCanadian%2Bflag%2Bwith%2Bmickey%26um% 3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26rlz%3D1T4ACAW_enUS340US34 1%26tbs%3Disch:1She's my mom's long time friend. Her parents are originally from Sicily, so technically she's Italian Canadian. How cool is that? They met in dental hygine school in Illy. They haven't seen each other in 17 years, since graduation, so this cruise is a big deal.
Tom- Carm's husband late 30's maybe early 40's

Hey fellow cruisers,
We just got home from the 3 day Wonder on Sunday and I rebooked the June 7 Double Dip for 2011. Can't wait to sail on the Disney Dream. This will be our 4th Disney cruise.
My husband Mario and I will be sailing along with our son Brian who will be 16 at the time of sailing. He hasn't been too thrilled with the teen area on the last couple of cruises so I'm hoping there are other teens he can connect with before the cruise to break the ice.
Can't wait to sail with you all.

My sister decided to book on our last cruise about 4 months before the cruise. There were very few cabins available. When we hit the cut off date for being able to cancel without penalty ( can't remember now- is that 70 days? 90 days?) then there were tons of cabins available!

My sister, Gwynn, husband Ken and their 2 boys ( ages 18 and 21) joined us on our last cruise and will be on this one too.
We are so excited that our parents and another sister are joining us too! It will be there first cruise ever! My mom, Mary Lee, will be turning 80 on the cruise! Can't believe she is that old- she sure doesn't seem like it! My boys can't wait to share DCL with Nana and Papa! My sister, Mary Beth, will be sharing a room with them. It's her first cruise ever also! My family and Gwynn's family will already be on board ( we are doing back to back cruises) so I'm very glad my sister will be there to help get my parents on board!

DH (Jason)
DS (Noah - 8 when we sail)

I called my TA not too very long ago asking about upgrading and he told me that this week, either the week before or after, and a week in August were the most popular dates for this cruise. I don't know what that really means for us except that he had nothing available for us to upgrade to (we just wanted a porthole) because it was already booked.
So until then... I can't wait to pass the time with you guys on here. How many days now???

Thanks, Kelly! I've been home for 2 weeks now and I'd give (almost) anything to be back on the ship. I had a great time! The weather was wonderful. It was in the 60s most of the time. We had one day (on the last sea day) of rain and cold. They had big bins of blankets at the adult pool for people to wrap up in. It was funny to see rows of people in loungers by the pool all wrapped up in blankets. :lmao:
So, I'm just checking in now that I don't have to keep up with my other meets thread every day. Welcome to all the new families! I'm glad to see there will be several 9 yo girls onboard who might be wanting another friend (my DGD). PM or email me if someone might be interested in corresponding. The last time I tried this, it didn't work too well but she was only 7 then. So, we'll see... She does have her own computer now but I don't know if she does email or not. Perfect time to get her started, I think!

The only thing you need to worry about with regards to meals is whether you want early seating or late seating. You only have to make reservations to Palo and you can't do that yet. Same thing for excursions so you'll have plenty of time to think about those. Just make sure you're on the boat and the rest will come later!
WooHoo, we we're officially booked!:yay:
It'll be myself, DH, and DS 8 (his birthday is the 12th, so technically he'll leave the ship as a 9 yr old)
2nd cruise for me, the last was a DCL back in July '00. First cruise for the boys.
Really hoping DH loves it cause I am already thinking about planning another for Oct '12!;)
This is my first time planning our family vacation and I have been obsessed with Dis....In fact i'm at work now...sssshhhhh:rolleyes1
Is this way to early to look at pre-cruise hotels, airfare, and rental cars?!?!!?

Lol It sure will be a birthday boat. Both my dad and my grandpa will have birthdays onboard!!!:thumbsup2
It's never too early to plan!!!;) Trust me, I'm experienced!!! lol Hotel would be fine to look into, as for airfare, I'm 99.9 percent sure that can't be done until 6 months before. The Raddison is a favorite of my family but we might try Four Points Coco Beach this year.

We did a "kids only" FE on the Wonder last January and it was one of the highlights for my 8 year old. My husband thought I was crazy for doing all this work to make my FE and make all the gifts but then when he saw how excited my DD was everytime there was something in her FE he totally got it!
I would love to do a kids only FE...if anyone is up for starting a sign up list.

I've got a confession...I have always saw these threads talking about FE exchanges and I always thought "seriously???" My thoughts were, of all the things going on on the ship and wanting to savor every moment of it with your family, how in the world do you find the time to prance around finding all the different staterooms to hand out gifts? :confused3
.
.
.
BUT - I just spent the better part of my afternoon looking through the "homemade FE gifts thread" and dang it if it doesn't look like a lot of fun! I would consider myself pretty crafty, and looking at all the stuff these DISers have made makes me want shout COUNT ME IN! :grouphug:

I thought the same thing too before I actually participated in one. We only did gifts for kids and I only did one drop with the goodies...not everyday. My dd went with me to find the rooms and had a blast sneaking them in the FE's so no one would see. We only did a 3 night cruise so I'm not sure what we'll do for a 5 night.

It's been awhile since i've posted on our thread... We'll be staying at OKW 3 days prior to the Cruise trying to get some of the parks in!! :D With a family of 6, flying is out of the question, so I think we're going to try and hit HHI on the way home for a few nights...
But I really wanted to ask about the "FE exchange"? This is something that I'm not familiar with, what is needed to participate? If someone can explain or point me to a good thread I'd love to learn more about this...

The FE is a lot of fun, and all you really need is a bag of some sort for people to drop off your gifts, and of course gifts for others. Last year was our first year, and we loved it. My kids are 14 and 11 and they had a blast finding things when they would return to their room and also taking gifts to others. We did gifts for everyone and only one gift per person per stateroom. Some people do a gift every day for every stateroom, which on a 5 day may be too much. We can decide as time gets closer and more people get signed up on this board as to how we want to do it. Kids only, everyone, one gift from each person per stateroom, etc.

Hi everyone. It has been awhile since I posted. It is hard for me to think about the cruise since it is a surprise and I haven't told anyone.
Looks like there are a couple other cruisers from my area going! We're neighbors nextcruz and saratogashan!
We sure do have a big group going here. Is our sailing sold out yet?
The Radisson is the hotel across the street from McDonald's, yes? We stayed there last cruise and we got in with a group on another cruise forum that had set up a group discount. I wonder if we're a large enough group to do that here? Has everyone already booked their hotel for the night before? I hadn't even thought about it until now...
Thanks luv2boys for heading up the FE. We have never done that so I'm gonna go over and look at that thread kellyb2000 posted.
Any other people sailing with tweens?
4newtocruise, I really haven't found much info about The Edge, yet. I'm a little nervous to be honest. I wish my daughters were together. First cruise they were separated and it was really hard. Second cruise they were in the same group and it made things so much easier. This time my 13 year old will be in the new tween group. I think they pretty much come and go as they please and it looks small, I hope they have alot of activities going on in there. Do people feel safe letting their tweens walk around the boat all by themselves? I'm like Marlin from Nemo, totally overprotective. How did you communicate and find each other?

If you guys would like to go ahead and send me your information, if you know it, I can start a list for the FE. (I need childrens ages, gender, and names, adults names, stateroom numbers and the State you are from). We can make a decision later depending on how many participate, etc. if we want to do everyone, just children, per stateroom, etc. I want to give everyone time to make handmade gifts; however, the number of participants and the room numbers will no doubt change as we get closer. It is so much fun....i have a countdown on my Android phone in a Mickey head that is counting til the day we hit the road a few days before the cruise and we are at 284!!

Our group will have 2 girls age 13 - so we will let them do the club but they will be together so I guess that makes it an easier decision.

Hey everyone! Put me on the list to participate in the FE gift exchange.
Sherrie and DH, Bret.
We have participated in the past and loved it! :goodvibes There were about 14 families that participated on our trip this summer and we left the decision to each one whether or not they wanted to make a daily delivery or a one time delivery. Me personally, well, I'd rather make the one time delivery. Remember, the Dream is a bigger ship which means more walking and longer delivery times. Others might enjoy the daily walk and don't mind making the trek across the ship.
When my husband and I went on the 5 night cruise earlier this summer there was no formal night. They did have a semi-formal night but I noticed a few families who did not dress up for it. I believe if a semi formal night is offered again, I'll probably just leave the dressy stuff at home and be comfy in my cruise casual attire. ;)

I just booked this cruise on the Dream and simply can't wait!! This is the first Disney cruise for my family, and me and my husband's second cruise. My son will be turning 14 during the cruise and my daughter will be 10. My mom and dad will also be joining us (2 connecting rooms on Deck 9). So, 6 people in 2 rooms.
I've been reviewing the DIS boards for a long time to help me plan my WDW trips, and am having a blast learning about DCL. I've spent a lot of time learning about FE and am looking forward to participating. Quite a huge group, already!
My TA recommended the Radisson for our Monday night stay since they have free shuttles to the port. However, she said the Country Inn is also very nice and has free breakfast.

FYI - I just spoke with a Disney agent. She says the cruise is close to being sold out. According to her, the only cabins she saw available were some Cat. 4s and 5s. Of course, we all know how accurate it is when they say there's no more Cat. 9s - 12s available (or whatever the new categories are on the Dream)...

I don't think I would give my daughter access to the ship either. The only exception I would make is if there was someone on this board that she could buddy up with, maybe! I think they carry a pager so we can contact them but I can't be certain, this would be by daughters first in the Tween section.

We stayed at the Residence Inn last time we cruised. We liked it and it was close by. We are staying there again. Already booked it! :thumbsup2 We stayed at the Radisson last summer. The rooms were just ok. The shuttle was a nightmare! They had a bridal party there who needed the shuttle, too. This Diva Bride wouldn't ride with anyone so they had to make multiple trips just for her party which put all the cruisers behind. We finally got on the shuttle about 1.5 hours after our reserved time! Others said that has never happened before, it's always been just fine, etc... So, this year we're going to WDW for a couple days first. We've never been. Thinking about Coronado Springs. Anyone have any opinions?
We are thinking about driving. Has anyone ever driven there? Does anyone know if there is a parking lot to leave your car? :confused3 Haven't driven down but they have built a new parking garage. I don't know if it's fininshed yet. It will be by the time we go, though. It used to be $15 per day for the lot. I haven't heard anything about price for the garage.

Thanks for the offer to organize the spreadsheet of our fellow cruisers. I always enjoy seeing who's going and where they are from before we meet.
What is the best way to contact you with our info to help you get started?
See You Real Soon! :woohoo:

I'll take the info off the boards first, then post the spreadsheet. If there is at that point any additional info that anyone wants to add, I'll update it as we go along.

Okay, I did a rough draft of the spreadsheet. Please let me know anytime of any changes, deletions or additions. You can PM me anytime or post to the thread.
Also, however is doing the fish extender list, I don't want to step on any toes, but I added a column so if you want, it can be added here!
Hope I didn't forget anyone, it's a big list!!!
Let me know if you have any trouble viewing it! Here's the link, I used Google Docs, you shouldn't need to create an account:

https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0Ap9to5ivR2JCdG0wWTJrWmpPVXUwX1VxMXcwa21jX 1E&hl=en&authkey=CJG_oeIB
I had some questions regarding the "Pre Meet" column. I left that on because on our last cruise we did a thread pre meet. We designated a place on the ship to meet after we disembarked and basically got together briefly to finally meet each other. We had really cute name tags, which someone put together from the paint swatches from Home Depot, with our thread names. We had a couple door prizes as well! Just a suggestion. We also tried to get together the night before the cruise as well. That is also an option.
If anyone is intrested, we can all discuss. We would just need someone to organize it.
Thanks.

Thanks for the spreadsheet! Here's our info:
Melissa & Tim, Trinity (4.5 at cruise) & Valerie (Trinity's Grandma/Melissa's mom) are in 8018 & 8020 (not certain who/where). The 3 of us are from Duluth, MN and Valerie is from Perrysburg, OH (suburban Toledo).
My In-Laws, from Green Bay, WI... (MIL) Grandma Kathy & (FIL) Grandpa Terry, (BIL) Kep & (SIL) Tammy with (Niece) Annika (3.5 at cruise time) are in 8023 & 8025 (also not certain who/where, and not 100% sure that Tammy, Kep & Annika are even coming with - long story)
The God-family, from Dayton & Toledo, OH respectively... (Godmother to Trinity) Christina & (Great-Godmother to Trinity, AKA Christina's Mom) Barb are in a room two doors down from ours... I THINK it's 8014, but not 100% sure.
This is our happy party of 11... I made FE's for us 4 and for the in-laws, and I expect the God-family (who are super-crafty) to be making some too. They would all love to be in on the fun. I doubt any of them will post here (though I think Christina has lurked about this forum). I should post pics of my FE's...
We all have early dinner seating.
Cruise experience: Tammy and Kep took a 3 night Disney cruise for their honeymoon, but aside from them, this is the first Disney cruise for the party. Tim and Melissa have been on one cruise (Royal Caribbean), Grandma Val is a frequent cruiser on Princess. Christina has cruised at least twice before (Norwegian I think). Terry, Kathy, Trinity, and Annika are first-time cruisers.
Likely arrival for the 4 of us: Friday 6/3 or Saturday 6/4. Plan to go to Universal Studios (Harry Potter!) on Sunday 6/5 and Magic Kingdom on Monday 6/6. Not sure where we will be staying.
Anything else? Whew!

We have a GTY room and everyone else in our party who booked an inside stateroom has a GTY for their room number as well. We have members in our party in verandah cabins but they already have an assigned stateroom.
I have a feeling Disney might have overbooked the lower cats and might UPGRADE!!!!(Fingers crossed!!!) :thumbsup2
The sucky part of GTY though is not knowing where you'll be on the ship. We might get a room number in a few months or when we check in at the port. As an obsessive planner, this is personally going to bug me.:rolleyes1:rotfl: Here's hoping for a good spot on the boat!:beach:

Well, see, that's just it. I'm disappointed, because we are all booked 11B GTY and that's exactly what my mom got - 11B! I'm not complaining, we are after all, getting what we paid for, but I too was hoping for even just a little bump! And even though they haven't assigned me yet, seeing as we're all connected, I'm sure I will get 11B, too. I just thought it was very weird that they assigned one of us and not all of us.

Did your mother book at the same time as you, or did you both book around the same time? I was asking because I booked a friend's cabin a couple of weeks ago, and I believe he DID recieve a room number, although he had the same Cat as us.....we booked all the way back in Feb...so maybe the timing had something to do with it?:confused3

Okay, I'm already starting to think about excursions. From what I've read so far about Nassau is not good. I'm also reading that Atlantis is VERY expensive. I'm considering not getting off the ship at all.
Anyone given this any thought yet?
Joan
jennifaerie
10-18-2010, 02:16 PM
Atlantis can be expensive. The trick is to not book the excursion.
If you book a room at the neighboring hotel, the Comfort Suites, your group (depending on how large) can get in for a fraction of the cost. You get all the amenities of Atlantis, including the water park.
We did this last January, and it was easy as pie. The hotel knows if you've booked a night, you're more than likely a cruise passenger. They give you a paper ticket, and you just walk over to one of the towel booths at Atlantis, and you get the bracelet for access.
While the Atlantis excursion can be upwards of $300 a person, we only paid $150 (with taxes!) for two people. A room, I believe, houses up to four people, so you can get four people into Atlantis for $150!
It was great (though a bit chilly). Lots of fun. I'd highly recommend it if you want to check out Atlantis.
Now, if you don't want to pay anything, you can still walk the grounds, visit their casino, and look at the various aquariums for free.

One year we got off and walked to the pirate museum. It was OK and we at least could say we got off the boat. Second time we did the dolphin encounter and we loved it. This time we're staying on the boat. :)

This will be our 3rd Disney Cruise that we've been on. The previous 2 both went to Nassau, and I have to say that I don't think we'll be getting off this time. First time was our honeymoon and as Jennifer said, it's worth it to at least do it once just to look around. Last time, in 2008, we brought my inlaws along and it was their first. They had fun walking the shops and looking through the straw market, but in my opinion if you don't really intend to buy anything there really isn't a whole lot right off the boat. With this being our first sailing on the Dream for probably some time, I know i'll be hanging out on the boat trying to get a few extra rides on the Aquaduck, if the wife and inlaws want to get off i won't stop them!! haha...
mrp4352
10-19-2010, 12:21 PM
We're doing a self-guided walking tour - but mostly because my brother's family has never been to Nassau (actually, for almost his whole family, it's their first time out of the country!). He has girls, so we'll make a stop at Del Sol for the fingernail polish and swing by the straw market. But then it will most likely be back to the ship for more pool time.

It is not sold out.
I think it must be near capacity for the lifeboats or perhaps they have reached the maximum number of children for the clubs because the cruise does not show up if you try to book a room with kids. Some categories will show if you are only two adults but the selection is very limited, so I think that it is close to selling out!

Hi everyone, sorry it's been so long but we've been busy. Below is the updated spreadsheet link. In regards to the Fish Extenders, I have checked off (I think) everyone that wants to participate. If there are any additions, please let me know. Thanks.

We are joining the Party!!
This will be a Girls' Trip for me (Sharon - 51), DD (Lisa 16), and DDBF (Ashleigh 16). The girls think the Teen Program will be much better on the Dream, so here is hoping . . . . .
This will be my 12th Trip with the girls having traveled slightly less. (A Mom's Cruise through the Panama Canal in 2008 put me ahead in the number of trips).
It will be fun getting to know all of you. Can someone give me a summary of what I need to know to catch up. Thanks.

Do any of you "veterans" have a picture/scanned image of your old DCL KTTW? I have made some fun Christmas gifts for the people in my party, and I need a "pretend" KTTW to put in it (I promise, pics after Christmas). I've been google-ing all morning and am coming up empty. HELP!
Thanks bunches-
Melissa

Made from a pattern found somewhere here on the DIS boards... the personalization is inkjet printer iron-on transfer, using a free Walt Disney font downloaded from the internet

I have been browsing some of the FE boards, where people have posted neat stuff they have gotten and given, and one of the posters mentioned dividing up into "FE Groups". They had about 10 families in their particular "group", thereby reducing the expense (and suitcase real estate!) of the FE gifts.
Anyone in favor of something like that? I'd be interested...
If our awesome spreadsheet maker could give us a "head count"... how many families (or individuals) do others think would make a good group, if we were to sub-divide??
What do you all think?

I'm game. I've already made some of the FE gifts. I just need a head count. The spreadsheet only shows 2 families participating in the FE--us and one other family.
I know there are more families that want to participate, I just don't know who. So, if you are wanting to participate, and there is not a check mark in the FE column by your name on the spreadsheet, please let "4Newtocruise" know, so she can add it to the spreadsheet.

I know my sister's family and mine plan on participating. A general idea of where we stand would be nice. I've been looking at the same thread as Lissa trying to get ideas!
