Me (Emma 26)- Disney obsessed, loves Ariel and Tinkerbell.
DD (Kyra 4)- Loves the Princesses, Mickey and Minnie.

Sunday 8th November.

The big day, I woke up at 6am and got dressed and finished packing very quietly incase i woke up DD and blew the big suprise.
Luckily because it was dark when i took the suitcase downstairs to the front door you couldn't see it from the top. Kyra woke up
at 7ish and i got her dressed and told her that today we was going shopping for her suprise toy ;).

My brother picked us up at 8am and we made our way to Ashford, as we approached the outlet Centre Kyra was like "Mum we are here, ready to go shopping"then she asked why are we driving past and going into the train station, so I said to her that we are not going shopping...her face fell :lmao: and then said where are we going then, I asked her where did she think we was going and she paused, looked up and said "Mummy are we going Disneyland", when i told her yes her little face little up and she gasped, it was so sweet. She then did her yip yip dance in the car :lmao:

Check in opened at 9am, and while waiting to get on the train i saw my facebook Disney friend David and we had a little chat and another DISer came and said hello as she was in the same carriage as me.

Train Journey was uneventful and we arrive at the Santa Fe for about 1.50 which was good going. I got the block i requested which was just around the
corner from the resturant, gift shop etc.

While changing the time of my Princess meal we had a run in with Donald (sorry the picture is a bit blurry i was all afluster lol).

After dumping our stuff in the room we made it to the park, well we went to the Studios first and bumped into Goofy.

We watched Stars N Cars where Kyra finally got her photo with Dopey and Snow White. She was made up as in September she didn't get to meet her and was terribly upset.

We didn't wait around for the signing bit at the end because we already had gathered enough autographs so we dashed to watch Playhouse Disney Live!
I love the pre-show bit...i was trying to hold back from doing the hotdog dance with Kyra :lmao:

When we came out we saw Minnie, Daisy, Chip and Dale outside so we went and got some pics with them, they was being slightly mobbed but it wasnt a free for all.

It was coming up to 4pm so we made our way to the DLH and inside it was very busy, The characters danced to Christmas music...then after we got some more pics. (The day i thought would be bad for character meeting was actually a decent day)

We left the DLH and went into Parc Disneyland and made our way to Small World soaking up the Christmas atmosphere on the way, 5 min wait for SW on a Sunday shocked me but left me happy lol.

It was then time to go and find a spot for the parade where i then texted Sonya (mommy2ash) to let her know where was and she met up with us and we watched the parade together.

Me and Sonya then decided to take the girls to Casey Jnr where we bumped into Pooh Bear, we then went on Casey Jnr where it was a walk on.

We was all hungry so we went to hyperion cafe (where lion King was) and had some food and boy how slow was the service, 20 mins to wait for food and there wasnt any queues, to top it off the food was cold and disgusting. The girls liked watching the Mickey cartoons though.

Then we headed back up to Main Street and caught the end of the lighting of the Christmas tree, it was nice ceromony, very Christmassy. Then we went and watched Party Time With Mickey and friends with the castle lighting. I personally perferred it when they did this with Candelabration so much more festive as they havent changed the Party time show they just pause halfway through it to light up the castle.

It was the a quick ride on Buzz, then me and Kyra went and sat by the castle to get a space for Fantilluison which reduced me to tears. I adore that parade and was SO happy to finally get to see it again. (no pics today as i filmed it)

AFter Fantillusion we made our way back to the Santa (where i noticed a few problems with the room but decided to report it the next day) where i put Kyra to bed and i unpacked and fell straight asleep. EMH tomorrow so early start.

I think for a Sunday we had a great half day.

Day 2 9th November

We was up early and at the park for 8am for EMH, it was very cold and bitter this morning so we was both wrapped up warm.

We then rode the usual rides in Fantasyland and i took some pics around the park (photo overload coming)

At about 9.30am we stopped in Cable cake bar shop for some breakfast which as usual was very very yummmy.

We then went and got ready for rope drop at Frontierland, and made the mad dash to Santa Claus at Woodys Roundup and
yipee we was the first people to see Santa and thankfully he spoke English and made a real fuss of Kyra reminding her
to be a good girl etc.

Kyra then played for a bit in Woodys Roundup, she loves seeing Bulleyes etc.

We then headed back up to Main Street and waited 10mins to meet Mickey in his Christmas gear.

After seeing Pooh we saw the Character Express and got photos with Gepetto and Pinocchio.

We then went and watched the Snow White show which was very cute, i took one or two photos as i was filming it aswell.

After the show they do a mini meet and greet where Kyra got a photo with Snow and The prince and met the Dwarfs.

Kyra then wanted to go and see Cinderella and Prince Charming who were lovely and spent ages with Kyra.

We then went to Disney Village and had a Mcdonalds which if im honest was probably the most enjoyable meal of the trip :lmao:

Great trip report Emma and such fab photos of Kyra.

I am a bit confused though as I do not know the Princesses that well but I thought Aurora was Sleeping Beauty and that she wore a pink dress. We met the one in your photos and I thought she was Cinderalla as she had a blue dress!!! Her prince was great though, he spend a while talking to my girls and asking them lots of questions and seemed genuinely interested.

Aurora also has a blue dress aswell as a pink one, she wears her blue one mostly in DLP except the parade in which she wears her pink one.

LOL, thanks for that - I was all excited saying to the girls "quick let's go and get a photo with Cinderella", maybe that's why she was a little bit grumpy!!

We were there the same time as you, what great weather we had, a tad cold, but atleast it stayed dry.

I want to go back, I miss it.

and what happened to no costumes this time?

We did see you, well it was Kyra that we recognised, near auberge one day.

Upload some more photos, Im trying to see if Im in the background of any of them. lol :lmao:

I only packed her Alice and Minnie dress this time around, sometimes Princesses like to blend in and have a normal life sometimes :rotfl:

Sorry took a while to update my Mum has been really poorly and been worrying over her too much to get this finished.

Day 4-11th November, our final day.

Yes it was that day again, the dreaded day we go home :( I had got up extra early to make sure we was all packed. I then procedeed to drag the suitcase, pushchair and Kyra :lmao: to the luggage room at the Santa Fe, was told I had to pay 10 euros for the Disney Express at reception, so dragged everything back into there at 7.30am there was already a queue and a few people complaining about there rooms.

Never paid to have the luggage sent to the Disney Express but I'm sure it used to be cheaper than 10 euros, anyway hey ho, we got the park for 8am and I took a few photos and we did the usual rides.

At 9.30 we made our way to Walt Disney Studios, took pics with Goofy and Pluto then decided to wait outside of the Cars, where they opened the ride 10 mins early, also noticed they had put up queue barriers for Crush which i guess was to stop the line milling out along past the Magic Carpet ride etc.

After Cars it still wasnt't 10am so we had to wait for the Magic Carpet ride to open, DD seems to really enjoy this ride more than Dumbo.

My child being the character stalker she is wanted to wait for Remy or Emile again, she was hoping to see Remy, but we saw Emile instead, not to worry though Kyra was still happy.

We made our way to wait for the Good Morning Walt Disney Studios parade where we met up with Sonya and Ashleigh, I found this parade really lame, it didn't have anything extra Christmassy about it and was a scrum.

Knowing a meet and greet was happening outside production courtyard (just outside Playhouse Disney on the step thing) we waited for that, first up was Goofy and Pluto again...as we was first in the queue we re-joined it again to see Minnie and Daisy which was fab as Kyra loves Minnie to the max.

Kyra had her Boo doll with her today and she wanted to show Sulley so we joined the small queue to see him again, and then we popped over to see Donald.

I wish it was just that she has, her blood pressure is so high its close to heart attack/ stroke range so i've been very worried about her. But she seems to be slowly improving. I don't know what I would do without my mum.

Sorry to say this but I disliked reading your report and seeing you're pictures, only because it made me miss the place so much more . In all honesty great report, wish I could write reports but I can never remember what order we did things in or on what days, its a whirlwind trip were everything is a blur.

Any thoughts on when you're next trip will be, Im considering June/July 2010, if Toy Story Playland is open by then. Ideally would like to go in September but Macy (Daughter - 4) starts school next september and don't really want to take her out in the crucial bonding time when all the freindships are made.

Kyra starts school next September otherwise we would gone then aswell, so we are going the 1st week of October instead as they only do half days till the 2nd week.

I don't my DD will particular miss much in 1 week, if I knew she was going to struggle then I would of waited to go at Christmas, but we both have decided to go and try out Halloween.

In September i was accussed of child smuggling because me and DD have diff surnames, I was bascially asked all sorts of questions as to why we had different names etc.

So this time i brought Kyra's birth certificate with me so i could shove it where the sun don't shine if they asked me again :lmao:

In September i was accussed of child smuggling because me and DD have diff surnames, I was bascially asked all sorts of questions as to why we had different names etc.

So this time i brought Kyra's birth certificate with me so i could shove it where the sun don't shine if they asked me again :lmao:

that is disgusting!....what a redder!!!!:rotfl:

Hi Emma!

Great Trip report! I'm going in 2 weeks and I can't wait!! Your photos are fabulous ~ would you mind if I asked what camera you used? My camera can't take decent night shots and I'm getting panicky!

I use a point and shoot camera, its a Sonycyber shot 8mp. Its not the latest version of cybershots availiable as i brought mine last year.

Awww cheers, i love looking at the ones when we went back in January 2008 she looks so small compared to now. I just wished i realised how to use the video function on my Dad's camera back then :lmao:

Can i say there are some really lovely people out there, I posted my TR on another forum and a lovely poster sent me the full Fantillusion soundtrack from Tokyo Disneyland as DLP do not have the rights to release the full parade music aswell as soundtracks from Disneysea and Disney Hollywood studios, plus a cd full of music ful of Christmas songs.

My Christmas has come early as i don't think any gift can top the memories this music brings back :)
