Is there already a thread or do we need one? I'm new to this area of the DIS but I'm definitely looking for a code for this time of year :thumbsup2

I'm greedy because we already got the free dining bounceback (again) but we're looking to upgrade our stay and this would definitely be possible with a good code.

Anyone else?

2manypets

Sorry, no. Disney does not allow for stacked codes. Either you can go for the discount code you have now or the free dining later, whichever saves you more money.

If you are from the UK, the Disney UK website is currently offering 47% off their deluxe resorts (Saratoga Springs or OKW) and free Disney Dining Plan (S,C,T). I've booked it for Sept 2010 and saved $2500 in total for 2 of us. Thank you very much Disney!! No code was needed, all the offers were on the Disney UK website.

Wow, that's a fantastic deal. Here's hoping they make it universal!

MyBubbles

It would be nice if more people could get use out of it, although from the threads it seems like normally they don't allow stacking so I wonder why they let the UK guys do it. I wasn't even planning on going to WDW next year but with an offer like that I couldn't say no... I guess that's what they were planning on. :-)

Damn I got another pin code in my email for the 30/35/40% off. Of course it was the one that only goes to June. If I could get the one that goes through Dec.2010 I'd be SUPER happy. I was so excited when I was opening up my email...... I even priced it out to see if we could go earlier, but with a wedding it's just not possible!!!!:confused3

SO, STILL WAITING!!!!:santa:

Count me in. Last year we used the 40% code for a week at WL. That's where I really want to stay again. Much better deal than free dining for us. Also thinking about renting DVC points.

Now I'm just stalking Air Tran for them to release their September deals.

Here's to lots of discounts coming our way.

I received the 20/30/40 code valid for most of 2010 by email a couple of days ago. :cool1:
If you save vacations (I saved three or four different ones, same dates, different resorts, some with DDP, some without) on the disney site for Sept. 2010, I think that's what triggers the email to be sent.

I called today to see if there was a PIN/offer attached to my name and the CM asked what dates I was looking at. I told her the last week in September and she said Free Dining was available. :woohoo:

The only resorts available was CBR and POR and it was for the regular dining plan, not the QS.

I felt the same way:goodvibes I was afraid to call, especially not knowing what to say..So....I pulled up an old email from a pin they sent me back in October 2009, and simply told the CM that I received this pin, it had expired and I was wondering if my family had any other pins that might help us decide on a disney vacation.:) She was so nice to search for me! She even searched under my Mom's name and address since she is traveling with us this year. But...no pin for any of us:sad2: It might be worth a try! I went ahead and booked anyway and now I'm hoping for free dining:goodvibes Good Luck:thumbsup2

I felt the same way, so I had DFiance call :rotfl: Seriously though, he called the reservations line and the CM seemed to know exactly what he was talking about unfortunately we didn't have any pins. He said "No pins, yet." (Maybe we need to check again) I can't imagine it would hurt your chances.

Same boat but i figured why not. I said "i wanted to see if I had a pin code with my name" and she said "okay I'll be happy to check for you" and asked a few questions verifying my address/phone, etc. She knew exactly what i was asking. We've gone Labor Day weekend on our last three trips. We arrive on the Saturday of Labor Day. To us Sunday was the busiest at MK. That was the only day we had to get a fass pass for anything. The rest of the week we walked onto every ride.

Keep in mind it will be hot just like you would have in July or August but not unbearable. Just make sure you take time away in the afternoons for some rest time to get out of the heat and sun.

PIN codes are discounts bestowed upon individuals by Disney. You get an email or post card with a code, but it's not transferrable.

People are getting Free dining codes, but it will probably still be announced for general public later.

Keep in mind that if you take the free dining plan, you will give up the "great rate" you got at Wilderness Lodge. You have to pay full rack rate to get the Free Dining.

You can book something now but apply a discount code to it later, but only one discount code can be applied. And you can only "add" it to an existing reservation if there is availability at that resort for the discount in question. For example, they only book so many rooms for free dining at a given resort. Once that's full, even if you have another reservation at the same resort it cannot be applied.

Make sense???

NO, no one knows how Disney send those e-mails, it can be because your are a repeated guest, it can be because it has been a long time you don't reserve in a Disney Resort, or just because you subscribe to the website or you order a planning DVD. No one knows how the marketing department do that. But I can tell you, register on the disneyworld.com website, ask to receive promotions and you can also order a DVD to plan your vacation. This will not assure you will have a PIN code but someday you will receive it as long as Disney has your e-mail and your address. I you have booked in the past thru Disney, you can call and ask a cast member if theres is a PIN attached to your name and they will look for it on the system.

Speaking about your upcoming trip on September, you can book the Wilderness Lodge right now and just put the 200 deposit if it's a vacation package or the 1 night deposit if it's a room only. Later if there is a general promo you can change the reservation to apply the new promo and you would lower your rate also If you receive a PIN you can apply it to your existing reservation.

Good luck and hope you receive a PIN or promotion shortly!!!!

New poster here....

We are looking to go at the beginning of September. We went mid-September last year since both of our daughters birthdays are in September. My youngest will be 3 on 9/11 so I'm planning on going the very first week so that she is still free

Been trying for a pin. I'd like to get anything at this point. Percentage off of a resort or free dining... but no pin anywhere and I've been trying everything.

Last year we booked only a value with free dining but ended up getting some sort of code/discount to upgrade to Saratoga Resort for free so we were lucky enough to stay at a deluxe resort last year. I'd love to stay at a deluxe this year but I am pregnant and am due in July so saving up the extra money isn't really feasible this year. We will be staying at a Value or a Moderate unless again, we are upgraded. Next year, we are purchasing a DVC.

Can you imagine 40% again for the resort hotels!!!!! I just reserved my hotel for next may with my 42% florida resident discount.

FINALLY got a pin postcard the other day...UGH! It's the Alice one (30/35/40 good through June). Doesn't help me at all for September, but at least I know I'm in the loop! Still praying that somehow my name or dh's gets on the list for the FD pin. Fingers crossed!

This is weird. We also want to go the last week of Sept. I have never received a pin before- but a couple of months ago we got the 20/30/40 pin. I booked at POP, and then yesterday I got a "pay for 3 nights get the 4th free plus a 100/200/300 gift card." How weird to get another pin after we booked. I called today to see if I had the FD- that is what I really want, and the CM said those just started going out.

Does anyone know if you can receive an email with a pin any day? Or is it just on certain days that they are sent (like once a month). From what I am reading here, it seems like most everyone received the FD pin on 01/20. I'm still waiting and hoping!:surfweb:

Got a few emails with pins so far, but only up until 8/14. So hopefully that's a good sign that I am on "the list"..but we are going end August into beginning of September.
Booked with AAA discount for now- really hoping for the free dining or 40% off deluxe!!! As is looks, should be codes out there in a few months for that time frame.
We have always been able to get a code or general public discount for Sept in the past!! Keeping my fingers crossed!

I check my email everyday hoping for that free dining pin! I did receive 2 pin codes so far, so i guess i'm on the list! I received the code that was good for travel til June and then one that was good for the whole year, which we'll be booking with, but it was less than some going out that i've heard. I REALLY WANT FREE DINING. For our family of 6 it's the best deal!

I got the Alice code good thru June too... for both DL and WDW! Yeah, a lot of good that does for September!

I'm trying everything! I've saved trips under my log in, under my hubbys (he signed up for movie rewards and didn't tell me so we've got 2 separate accounts), ordered the DVD, ordered custom maps...

WHY CAN'T I GET A CODE?!?!?!?!? :scared1: :rolleyes1  :surfweb: :confused3 :sad2: :scratchin :sad1: C'mon Tuesday!

We recieved the Alice code back in December and another code for room discounts last week, both of which are for mid June or earlier. We are hoping beyond hope for a free dining pin, or at least free dining for the general public in Sept. After reading a few posts, I must say as pp's have mentioned, at least we know we are on the list for codes and the code we hope for is out there, and hopefully it will find its way to us :goodvibes

A free dining code that we could book now would be helpful though. When it comes time to book the adr's we would be one step ahead.

Interesting to hear people got a couple codes already but not the free dinning one that others got. I got and booked the free dinning offer for September but before that I didn't receive any codes other than a 40% off vacation to Disney's vero beach resort.

As a side note this is our 3rd free dinning trip in a row without booking a bounce back offer on any trip.

I also got the postcard with Alice on it but it is good just through June 12. We are going in September. Then I Was excited when I opened my e-mail today and received a pin, I had to laugh. I guess they got me mixed up with someone in the UK, it was really good though free dining, save 52% on seleced resorts and 14 day ticket for the price of a 7 day one. Everything was included. I called and asked if I could use it, it was my traveling dates they told me they don't know how I received it. and maybe I will get a code in the further.

try calling disney and finding out if there is a pin attached to either you or your husband's name. i did that last week, the first day i called it was the alice code attached to my name and then i tried calling back the next day and my husband had the 20/30/40 pin for later in the year attached to his, we still haven't received the email about the 20/30/40 pin code however it showed up attached to his name in disney's computer so we booked over the phone :) good luck and hopefully you will get one soon!

Well, I have been on the fence about doing a trip this year as I either want to upgrade my kitchen or put a pool in. It seems that I am going to go after all as a friend of ours wants to go with what he calls "the disney queen". It will be his daughters first time going. So we are looking at the week of Sept 11. No I am upset that I didnt book the bb offer whenwe were there last year but hopefully the free dining or good offer is out.

I don't know if this was a fluke thing or a mistake by the CM, but I was just able to get a 20/25/30 discount for our Sept 4-11, 2010 stay. 20% off values, 25% moderates and 30% Deluxe. We booked Contemporary and got 30% off. We can't wait.

Then I must not make a good impression.... I've called a couple of times... and NO pin.

Regardless, the pins are designed to GET you to call. It would be counterproductive of them to just offer them to people who are ALREADY calling.....

Maybe I should just play hard to get..... :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

ACTUALLY... I noticed that after I signed up for the website and priced some vacations and then DID NOT GO BACK for quite a while (2 weeks?...yes, that's a long time for me!) is when I had pins sent to me. (many, like 6!...one of which we booked, free QSDP in Sept)

Now I'm on there all the time looking for hours and pricing other things I haven't had a pin or anything sent to me since the end of Jan??? Could just be a coincidence, but maybe if you go away for a while the computer keeps track and sends out something to entice you??? ;)

I posted this elsewhere, but I've been trying to get the free dining pin, so I priced out all the vacations and saved them, ordered maps, got the video and stayed off for a while. Then I got an email from them this morning with my PIN. Of course it's not the pin that I want. It's the same pin that they sent me last month.lol. Don't they see my spending habits at all? I've actually NEVER visited without free dining. lol. I have a big family with kids that eat a TON (think teenage boy) and you just can't beat the free dining for that. Usually I take them on a trip and just can't feed them enough. They are always hungry. The funny thing is that they are all really tiny. My dd (15) teacher asked her if she was anorexic (because of her size) and she about fell off the chair in laughter. Not that eating disorders are funny... just that she eats so much that someone thinking that of her sounded rediculous. So, here's hoping for free dining. I'd rather have a pin so that I can book now and get my dining reservations at 180 days, but I'll also be hoping for a public offer for free dining in case I never get the PIN.

Well I did not want to miss the 180 day window for ADR so I took the dive today and made my reservations for 06 SEP 10 thru 13 SEP 10 at CBR for 2 adults, 2 kids. :woohoo: It's the first time we take the little ones. I hope if and when they offer the free dinning that I can get the discount applied to my reservation.

In any case on 10 MAR 10 @ 5:30AM CST I'll be getting turning on my PC :surfweb: and getting ready for the 6AM online start time to do ADRs for the trip.

Guess I need to update my signature with a count-down image now. :yay:

Ok so here is a dumb one that I probably should know the answer to but I dont. We are booked for a trip in Sept that we booked on a bounceback last Sept when we were there. We are staying on the free dining.

My question is, if some other kind of discount comes up for the dates we are there can we use it or are we already considered to be on a discount where we booked a bounceback?

I dont know if that would be considered as double dipping but I would love to get even more of a discount besides free dining if possible.

We called to confirm our reservation for September, ask if we have a pin. The CM told us that because we are AP holders, our chances of ever getting a pin, were slim to none. She told us that an AP pass usually gave a better discount anyway.:confused3

My understanding is that you can only have 'one' discount applied to your package at any one time. So in your case you right now have the free dinning plan. Say for SEP 10 they offer $700 cash back if you stay 7 nights and they offer this discount on say 01 APR 10. You can call on that day or after (**) and have your package switched over to that new discount but you will lose your free dinning.

(**) There are only a certain number of "slots" available for each discount so if you were to call say in 31 JUl 10 in the example above to get the $700 cash offer they may tell you it's not possible since the offer may have already been booked up (ie. the amount of discounts allowed has been reached) so in that case you would have to keep your free dinning.

Sorry, but no. Even if it's a bounceback, it's a discount, and you can only apply one at a time. If you find something you like better, you can change, but it would remove the free dining.

Nah... Free dining is a tradition. It will happen... I think the only question is whether they will move to quick service for the values.

Because the pins that are coming to us seem to be a discount on the rooms and FD but, only QSDP. :confused3

I hope so.....Since I am staying at a moderate, it would be a 30%. Which isn't really that much. :sad2::sad2: The FD is much better!!!! When does Disney come out with their fall promotions? Is it the last part of March or the first part of May? I have never done the FD.

We normally go in the spring. Last year we did the 4 nights/ 3 nights free...it was a HUGE savings. We stayed at CBR/Pirate Roompirate: with a waterfront view, meal plan and hopper passes for 2700.00. I have never stayed at Disney that cheap in the past.:banana:

Since I already booked my stay, would I need to call to get them to apply whatever promotion is going on?

If only QSDP is offered free for the values, we plan on upgrading to the regular DDP. For our family of 3, it's only $154 and that's awesome. I can pay that much to eat all week!

We already have the regular free dining booked bounce Back. But still wishing on a room only discount. Already booked airline. Please Please come out with a room only discount.

I would rather take the room only discount and add the tickets and do the QSDP this year. We would pay out of pocket for the 2 ts meals we want to do. And still be ahead 300.00

Why is it when everyone wants free dining. I have it. But that is not what I want.

Ah yes! I totally forgot that the % off room rates can be booked through the 27th. This makes me feel SOOO much better!!! So, for FD, we can look to mabye Mon the 29th or possibly Tues the 30th. I don't think that Disney would release FD on a Sunday.

Need a little help with room only rates and reservations. We are DVC members and always book our stays thru Member Services but this year we are going to stay 2 extra days. We are planning on staying at Pop or French Quarter. We also plan on these being room only reservations. Are there any discounts or codes for a room only like this or do we pay rack rate? We will be there 2nd week in September 2010.

what are the normal, if any, blackout dates? We've never had FD before, and are wanting to arrive Labor Day weekend, wondering if that time is normally blackout with FD.
TIA :)

I don't know if this is the answer you want but I don't think there are any blackout dates for free dining (usually) because it only is for the middle of August until the end of September. Some people got pin codes for other dates however.

Do they usually offer any room only discounts to the general public in Sept? We are hoping to get a bounceback offer in June but I might not have the money then to book. Free dining while awesome just won't work well for us in Sept. we are only going for the weekend once to MSSHP and once using our GAD tickets.

I wouldn't be surprise if they offered a room discount and free dining. Right now with the way the economy is (at least pretty darn bad in NC) they would offer it and let people decide. Not everyone finds free dining appealing. Good Luck!!

Also, bounceback is often different from current promotions. Everytime I go, my bounceback offer has been discounted promotions and not the free dining. Hope this helps somewhat.

what is bounce back refferring to?

stepdisney
03-19-2010, 12:19 PM
Bounce back is when you are already at WDW, staying at a WDW resort hotel, and you take advantage of an offer made to you, often by a flier in your welcome packet or in your room somewhere, for an offer to come back another time with some sort of discount. Every year since we have been going during free dining, the bounceback offer has been free dining the next year. The offer and dates are sometimes different from the offer to the GP or DV holders. Example, the offer for those who wanted to stay values, moderate or deluxe was for DDP not the QS that is being offered via pin code.

I was curious about something. I got a pin i think it was...or perhaps a public discount, i can't remember. Anyway it was for last December for free dining. I thought we had the QSFD and a month before leaving I called, come to find out we had the Basic DP. Which was amazing and awesome! QS would be great regardless, but was wondering if they come out with the BDP for value resorts in September?

The offer last September was for the Basic dining plan. When they extended FD into Oct, Nov and Dec, they changed it to QSFD for the values.

No one knows yet what they will offer this year.

I've been reading post the past hour & can't figure this out.

I want to make reservations in Sept. I have a 20/30/40 off room only pin code. But, I want free dining because it will save me more money.
Can I book now with the 20/30/40 percent code, and then if free dining comes out, call back & change my discount to the free dining discount instead of the 20/30/40?
And, do I have to book the dining plan now w/reservation, or do I add that later if the free dining comes out?

Thanks for your help!

Yes, you can book now with the pin you have now, and then when free dining comes out you can switch over to the free dining. The first pin will then disappear, and you will only have the free dining pin attached to your reservation.

I would recommend booking now with dining (we just did on Sun with our 20% pin, and then made our ressie's yesterday), and then making your dining reservations BEFORE free dining comes out. It will all be linked to your reservation #, so it will show that you are on the dining plan. Once free dining comes out, call and have it added to your ressie, and your bill will be adjusted. If you don't make your dining ressie's now, it will be VERY hard to get them once free dining comes out!!!

Yes it does. There are only a select number of rooms at each resort reserved for each promo and once they are booked, they are gone. So if you wait too long, you may not get the resort you want or even get the promo at all.

Take care!

Each resort does have a limited number of rooms they have allowed for FD. For our Sept. 2008 trip I didn't call to book until late May. I got a pin code!! One that I could use too. I think its been talked about on other threads, but it was from "Disney Destinations" that said "Monster Savings on a Disney Resort Stay." 40 percent off values, mods, deluxe, villas, and fort wilderness for these dates:

9/1–10/9/10 • 10/24–10/30/10 • 11/14–11/20/10
11/28–12/4/10 • 12/12–12/18/10

I had gotten price quotes for our trip with the AAA discount and free dining... and the free dining one was better by about 100 bucks. And now this discount saved us an additional 500 bucks!!! WOW! I'm so excited!!

I had done all the things people said to do last fall. Order the DVD and maps, check the website and get price quotes, etc but stopped doing it because I wasn't getting anything. Every few weeks I would check and get more price quotes with no result. Then randomly I got this deal!

I have priced out our trip, 40% vs FD vs Kids Stay/Play Free. I thought the 40% would be best for us, but it turns out that the kids free one is, probably because we have four kids! Saves us about $850!

We're staying for 8 days standard view at the Beach Club (our disneymoon trip! no kids!), tix with hoppers and basic dining plan. I got quotes for free dining (from a bounce back offer last year) and I got a quote with the AAA discount and the free dining was just a little cheaper. Then I got this email and forwarded to our AAA lady and she quoted us a price 500 bucks cheaper then we originally had. So she changed it for us! So easy, it was amazing! I wish more things in life were that easy.
