One night we're having dinner at Narcoossee's and then taking a Wishes Cruise. I hope it's everything I want it to be :love:

Disney is something that her and I have shared throughout the years and this year is my first year away at college, so it'll be nice to spend a week with her in our favorite place after being away for so long.

well.... i got indecisive on AKL for 7 nights (he wants to stay there/i think it's far away)... soooooo i called back, upgraded to annual passes and did a split stay with Yacht Club. i'm so excited now i can't stand it.

i'm taking my aunt in september which should be a treat, lol. i'm deciding between GF and BC for her (any suggestions welcome--she's a cranky old italian lady that never leaves the house but for work and bingo and hasnt left the state in over 40 years)

and we're going back in november and staying at WL/BWI

In-laws have been crunching numbers with their Worldmark timeshare to see if we could stay on site and a deal came up so they booked! :eek: We're going to Old Key West, May 22-28 in a One bedroom villa!! We have been planning this trip since before the kids were born. I have not been since Ronald Reagan was in office. As the in-laws live near by we started going down when we dated but my rule was no MK until we have kids. We have been to a couple character breakfasts but this is the first trip to a Disney Park and resort. So I have to hold back on the details and refrain from planning down to the minute.

As to planning... I can't stop!! I have rethought our ADRs plenty of times, but I've decided to leave them as is... for now. I also picked up a copy of "The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World" last night and have almost finished it cover-to-cover. It's very interesting and I highly recommend it for any family making a return trip. Unless your children aren't patient enough to wait while you search for those hidden gems. ;)

This trip we have lots to look forward to and to see...

1st is my hubby seeing his lil brother who he hasn't seen in 15 years!!! Huge!!! I made ADR for that 1st special meeting at Ohana... Had a rough time getting it but some how with the additon to the reservation an earlier time had appeared cause we origonally had 9pm!

2nd my DD will be goin to the BBB for her 3rd Birthday! Im very excited about this... It's gonna be our day and Im still thinking about trying to squeeze in an ADR for a late breakfast at CRT... Anthor must that day is stopping by Ariel's Grotto to meet her... And she'll have fins not feet!!!

3rd is that I must see Fantasmic... I've been more times that I can remember to the world but has never seen Fantasmic... So We actually have a day planned around seeing it.

And last I think the hubby had booked a Wishes or Illumination Cruise for the family... We had gone in 08 and he had mentioned that he would have loved to have shared that moment we saw the Electrical Parade with the kids... Words cant explain how magical that is and to see it that close!

Were definately looking forward to this trip...

I originally booked Pop with DxDDP then had a very difficult December and decided life was short so I switch to CR MK view with DxDDP. I just got back from taking youngest DD for her 7th birthday at AKL CL and have to say I really do enjoy CL service. Now I'm heavily leaning toward BWI CL without DDP (I do have TiW). I call her "granny" sometimes. She really keeps us grounded and forces us to slow down and take it easy. The days we go, go, go she's miserable and thus make the rest of us cranky. We learned quickly that we have to slow things down and just have fun and enjoy it.

I understand staying at a familiar place. The hotel will depend on what you are going to do. If you are going to a park everyday then it may not matter where you stay. We originally planned for an off day, now that we booked our flights we will have two off days, and the day we arrive. So we are excited about staying at POR because there is so much to do. We are also planning a night out by ourselves, so the boat to DTD will be handy that day.

Also, does anyone know how to check to see if there are any kid's sports events going on? This is our first stay in a value and I've heard horror stories about the cheerleaders and marching bands :scared1:!

We're trying out the QS dining plan, so I only have a few ADRs - Planet Hollywood on our arrival night - it's kind of tradition to go to DTD on our first night and TRex was all booked up; Tusker House character breakfast; and breakfast at Kona on our departure day - I am dying to try the Tonga Toast!

Again, we are super excited, but I'm a little concerned about crowd levels and not being able to sleep because of rowdiness at the resort - can anyone help to put my mind at ease:confused3?

I think there are far fewer tour groups in May than January. Last year it was HOT!!!! Like 98 hot. That was tough for me going from a very cold spring here in MA to that hot. I also went in August and it was hotter in May. Most years it is in the hight 80's/low 90's. I do remember at least one night on all those trips wearing jeans at night and a long sleeve denim shirt but most times shorts and T's are fine.

I haven't read about anything going on in the All Stars the first week of May. I've stayed at Movies & Music and they are fun. I think you'll be fine and being at sports means if they do share buses you'll be the first one picked up/dropped off.

Did you know that the Polynesian's quick service place-Captain Cooks also serves Tonga Toast? You could use a CS credit there.

Have you considered doing the Give a Day/Get a Day? You have to buy tickets to get the DDP but you could use the Give a Day vouchers for fast passes.

I did not know that Captain Cooks had Tonga Toast - I may just have to have it twice :thumbsup2!

I did look into the GAD but it seems like 90% of our options are at the horse farm near us and I'm not all too comfortable around horses. Out of the rest, I couldn't find anything that jives with our schedule - between boy scouts, basketball, school and work I just can't make the few options we had work. It might be worth it to check again though - those fastpasses sure would be nice!

We are taking our first family trip to Disney May 11-18th. I am so excited!!! My kids will be 4 and 6 when we go. We did one day at Disneyland last winter and it was practically the most perfect day ever. I did Disney many times as a kid and the last time I was there was in 2003 for my honeymoon. I cannot wait to go back!!!

We are staying at the All Star Movies Resort. I am hopeful we will have a wonderful time there. I've stayed at the Poly for our honeymoon, and we stayed in some townhomes twice, they were walking distance to downtown Disney and were Disney property but they are gone now, I think maybe the beach club resort is there? I don't really know, so much has changed. I just can't wait to get down there!!!

Soooo ... my parents (who've blessed me with Disney trips every few years since age 9) are up to their Disney magic once again!! Dad's health hasn't been so stable for a while - and now he's had a really good upturn and they want to take "the whole gang" for one last exciting trip. We've grown from Mom, Dad, Me, and younger brother growing up ... to now Grandma (formerly known as Mom), Grandpa (yep, Dad), Me & my Triplets (two boys & a girl) and my brother, his wife, and their 5 children (including twins as their youngest girls ... yep, we're multiple like that).

Kaboom ... suddenly Disney looms May 15th thru the 21st ... Port Orleans French Quarter is my guess (though mom says it's a surprise ... shhh ... I saw one of the confirmations).

DD7 and I decorated a "Disney box" this past weekend that we are going to put all of the things we purchase for WDW in until we actually start packing. We've got a few things in there already. I have just started picking up things we don't use regularly that we need at WDW.

I'm getting ready to pull out the suitcases and start trying on stuff for the trip this weekend. I wanted to do it a couple of weeks ago, but I restrained myself ;)! I'll put together my packing lists and park bag and finalize my itinerary the first or second week in April so all that'll be left is to pack the toiletries, cells and chargers, and any shorts/outfits my son wears between now and then. I'm really getting excited :cool1:!

I bought a couple books for the trip (as if I will be able to read but it is just the vacation thing to do) and I asked my wife if she would consider it packing and make fun of me if I put them in the carry-on bag just so I don't forget them.

Now that it is getting warm I am starting to nag her to go buy clothes for the girls, the task that she volunteered to complete. I don't want to be running around the weekend before trying to find clothes.

I am trying not to buy a ton of clothes for our youngest. Her 1st birthday is April 30th, so I'm expecting to get a ton of clothes from people. Hey, if I don't have to buy it...even better!


I've decided it's time for DD7 to get some new vacation clothes. I was looking back at pictures and she has worn some of the same clothes for 3 years! She's just been so tiny that she's fit in her clothes for years. It will almost be sad to NOT see her in some of her "Disney" outfits, but it's time.

I hear ya! I have a 7 yo ds who has worn some of the same shorts since he was 3! They may still fit but they are getting handed down anyway. This will be our first trip so we don't have any disney clothes, but we do have outfits that I have pics of him in at a theme park closer to my house.

I'm getting so excited now that all the summer clothes are out! But we live in Canada and I was thinking I could pack all the summer stuff and won't need it before the beg of may but with the weather we are having I think I may have to leave some of it out it was almost 65 here today:cheer2:

I just booked for May yesterday. We were booked for Nov. Actually we still are since I have not cancelled yet. I am waiting to make sure DH can get the time off for the May trip.

So yesterday I booked the POP for 5/27-6/4 and made our ADR's. I got pretty much what I wanted which was shocking 8 weeks out. The times for some are wacky though like Ohana at 9:30pm. But I even got CRT for dinner.

I am very excited. A little worried about the heat, but I think we will be fine.
