Although we have been to WDW several times, this year was our first year we had a car so paid here upfront for insurance and when we got there paid for an upgrade of the car as at the rental desk the lady said the car we had booked was not big enough:confused3 being new to us we paid.

For our next adventure what is best to do pay here??? we have been quoted 300 insurance for 1 driver is that about right.

Thanks for your help:goodvibes

We are looking at November next year:thumbsup2

Unfortunatley rental desks will tell you anything to get you to upgrade, even lie to you. I once arrived at Sanford told me the car we had booked did not come upto our European saftey standards and not really roadworthy, recommened an upgrade to protect our childs saftey. I didn't upgrade.
They often say the car is not big enough and you need to upgrade, in reality they more than likely don't have the car you booked and you will get the larger car anyway free.
If you are not 100% sure go out and look at the car then go back and negotiate upgrade, don't just take their word on it.
Maybe a bit early to get best price for next Nov, but no-one knows, all down to exchange rate, could go up or down.
Book here, don't wait til you get there, they have to trapped and they know it. You will pay approx 2-3 times what you pay in UK depending how good your negotiating skills are.

1st one I checked was USrentacar, usually about the cheapest but check others.

1st time we went we went for cheapest car, economy got given a Chrysler Neon(not sure if we got upgrade, is it economy?), that was plenty big enough for 4 adults & 2 cases.

Economy for your dates 228 incl all insurances, if you wanted to add tank of gas that would be and extra 50, a bit pricey.

We go for full size, that would be 276 (free upgrade from intermediate) I feel its worth extra 48 over the smallest car.

What car was the 300 for?

check all these

car hire companies will always try and get you to upgrade ,i had a 12 seater van and they advised me that as we would not always be all in the van it made good sense to take a medium car as well. i declined
