Just got this from the Hungry Girl email, she did it on Rachel Ray yesterday...looks like our chocolate muffins :teeth:

HG's Yum Yum Chocolate Cake

PER SERVING (1 slice, 1/12th of cake): 181 calories, 3.5g fat, 357mg sodium, 37g carbs, 2g fiber, 20g sugars, 2g protein -- POINTS® value 4*

Ingredients:
One 18.25-oz. box devil's food cake mix
One 15-oz. can pure pumpkin

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Mix the two ingredients together in a bowl. Don't add anything else that may be mentioned on the box, such as eggs, oil, or water. The mixture will be very thick, so you might be tempted to add in other things to make the batter smoother. Do NOT do this! Just keep on stirring until completely mixed.

Transfer batter to a 9-inch cake pan sprayed with nonstick spray, and smooth out the top with a spatula or the back of a spoon. Place pan in the oven, and bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

Allow to cool, and then cut into 12 slices. Enjoy!

MAKES 12 SERVINGS

DH and I are both working today too. Princess is going to my mom's, she will not be marching in the parade with our girl scout troop this year.

She woke me at 5:44 asking how to turn off her alarm. Seriously? Go back to bed! Nope, she went down to watch TV and I made coffee.

So, my list looks like this:

Drop off banner at other mom's house for parade
PrincessM to my mom's
Work til 4:30
Pick up nut sale stuff
Dinner - Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo
Dishes
Homework duty? If DH has not done it
Sort nuts (huh, I wonder where I put the order forms?)
Is my sister coming over? We need to make some sort of tags for the baby shower on Saturday - she bought aprons as party favors and some of them are specific to certain people so she wants to put name tags on them.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Good luck at your girlie appt, Brooke - not the most fun lying down!

Deb, that does look like "our" recipe! Copy cats!

Happy Veteran's Day!!!

I hope everyone is feeling better today.
Brooke, for girlie appt. I have my appointment scheduled for Friday.

DH and DS are both home today, but I'm working. I can't complain, though, because I was only at work for 23 minutes yesterday! It was pouring rain because of the tropical storm and the store was dead. There were 3 brand new cashiers training and then 4 regular cashiers. The manager came through and asked who would like to go home on this rainy day. I didn't hesitate and volunteered. I took one for the team!!:rotfl: So, I finished up shopping for DS's birthday. Instead of making money, I spent it!!!!:lmao:

Today:
Work on surprise swap
Work
Take video game back to Best Buy and exchange. I got the one DS really wants and wouldn't you know, I bought it for the wrong system!!!:confused3
Dinner - I'll let DH fix something

Have a great day everyone!

Don't worry too much Deb. The vaccine study my Little Bit was in was to see if giving both H1N1 and seasonal would cause 1)bad reaction or 2)cancel each other out. They finished the double shots before my Little Bit got his last one. He was the group that got the three spread out. [he's under 10]

They said there were NO bad reactions to the double shots and that it looked like it didn't matter if the double was the during the first or second H1N1 for the little guys.

Now whether or not he has a reaction due to allergic or other concerns, that would probably happen even if they were given days apart. Just keep an eye on him. :thumbsup2 Those reactions can happen even if all his other flu shots in years past were fine.

My DH wants to know when I am going to get my degree and hang out my shingle. :lmao: I've turned into such a know-it-all.

Nan - tell PJ way to go!!

Today -

School duty.
Aldi's run - we have a new one right across the street from where I would normally go shopping. Hoping to save lots of $$. :thumbsup2
Go over the pantry and make sure I don't have any obvious gaps in nutrition. The forecast for a harsh winter reminds me of the one where nobody could get out for over a week due to ice and snow. Some places went two weeks with no electricity and heat. People were using snowmobiles and HORSES to get to where they could find food and fuel for heating units. I didn't live here there, but the stores are sure mind opening.
Put the laundry away. Everything is clean. Just needs a home. :thumbsup2
Figure out dinner.

The paisley cart is cute- I don't think I am willing to justify it for the 2-3 puppies on it though.

Today:
look up credit card to see if DH can order his kindle (done- I was waiting for it to cycle)
work on swaps
work on Christmas gifts
meeting at noon for grant writing for Wee Care(not sure I still want to- I wouldn't mind if I didn't feel like they are wasting money every time I turn around)
empty dishwasher
clean kitchen counters
dinner- chik pot pie? (we are down to the last of the food as we go on our big shopping trip Friday)
Bible Study

Rebecca - I had to laugh when I saw your post about waiting to order the Kindle until the credit card cycled - that's just what I always do, too! Boy, the second that billing cycle ends, that's when I feel like I can spend - a little bit! - since we pay off the bill each month, it works.

Today the kids are home due to Veteran's Day and I got to sleep late - yippee! I probably won't get much of anything done, since they are having friends over. It will be a "little bit" day - a little bit of laundry, a little bit of kitchen clean-up, etc. Maybe finally get to scrap a bit...?

Hmmmm...a FedEx box from A Cherry On Top just arrived for Z2H...seems she's also been using her credit card! Wonder what's in there???

The nerve of that woman stealing our recipe! HA! Just because we stole it from Weight Watchers first doesn't enter in to it at all...:rotfl2:

Dinner - rice cooker macaroni and cheese
Dancing class tonight - we didn't get any time to practice...guess *another* week where I feel less than graceful!

PinballFamily

Ooooooh! That Paisley cart looks cute...thanks for posting the link, MM!!!

This one I'm tempted by...rats!

I saw the other new ones at my ACM yesterday : Old West, Pagoda, and the calendar one. It was tough, but I walked away! As I told TB, the manager (who knows us) was talking to me as I was checking out "Did you see, we got those new cartridges in and look, they're only $39 this week!" Come on willpower...stay strong!

ZeroToHero
11-11-2009, 11:39 AM
.....I haven't ordered anything from A Cherry on Top....

Weird. I'll check that out as soon as I come down.

Today:
Up (reallyyyyyyy late. As in - a half hour ago. I was making up for lost sleep.) ;)

Eat breakfast
Check out box from ACOT?
Scrap! I want to get pages done today!!!
Do some homework

Watch a movie?
More homework

.......I just realized what that box could be!

Dr. Ann, ;) we have an Aldi nearby (actually between BAMB and I) but I haven't checked it out yet. Will have to put that on my list of things to do.

Had today off from work due to Veterans' Day, DD was off too. Initially I was going to spend the whole day scrapping but decided to get things done around the house. I am pooped!

Bubba and I had the day off. We went out picking and poking around.
Old navy had all outerwear for 50% off. We did awesome in there! Christmas presents and a ton of stuff for bubba. He needed a coat so for the price i bought him an everyday one (just like dh had when we were teenagers!!!!), a really nice pea coat, a vest and a new winter hat!
Then we went to jo's and m's to see what was there for deals. Paper for Jennifer and me too!;) And I could not find the stamps at my m's. or the other m's i went to today.
but all in all a good day spent with my little man!

Holly - glad you and Bubba had a great day!

I, on the other hand, love my kids, but boy, were they handfuls today! They drove me nuts! :crowded: Can't wait to send the little darlings back to school tomorrow!!!

My big decision today was...scrap or nap....? Nap won!

Comfort food for dinner (love the rice cooker mac and cheese, right, TB?) and off to waltzing - and get away from the kids for an hour or two!

Sounds like you guys had good days. Mine not so much. Don't know what was worse, when I dumped a whole tub of cleaning water on me just before I was going to go to lunch. Which meant I had to throw my clothes in the dryer. And since it is an empty apartment, that left me wearing....:scared1: With nothing there, I had nothing I could do, except vacuum, so that deserves another :scared1:. Or when I finally got to lunch, and while I was leaving some young guy decided to back his car into mine. Not much damage, just a few scratches in the paint, but still.

I guess the good news is that one of the bathrooms is done, and BTW, The Works cleaner really does work!

Not a question of being bored, so much as I need to get the apartment ready to turn in the keys. So I could sit around for 20 minutes or accomplish something. So I went with accomplishing something. I wasn't completely nekkid, though, I had my undies on. Still not how I had planned to spend my day.
