I have Norton's Firewall thank goodness!
this is a PassWord stealing virus usually sent thru email attachments. But I was not reading email I was doing blink and all I had done was click on a link.
I would advise anyone who does not have a firewall to get one.

I stopped doing blink almost a week ago. Thank goodness. I don't have firewall, but I guess I should look into it. Thanks for the heads up!

Update: Health & Beauty has disappeared from Blink. If only they'd respond to e-mails and cash-outs as quickly! ;)

Luckily I missed this one!
But you can go here for a free firewall, I just d/l it two weeks ago
http://www.zonealarm.com
Also, get a free virus scanner from
http://www.grisoft.com
I wish everyone had this! I keep getting emails sent to me from members w/ the Klezworm every day, driving me nuts!!!
Hope this helps someone

Guess I need to jump in and get firewall protection. My only problem is we're contemplating buying a new computer and I hate to spend money on something I can't install on another computer and it seems these firewalls are only available to buy in dowloadable form, at least online.
Any suggestions as to the best one to get? I read a review about the McCaffe (something like that)firewall and one person loved it one hated it.
I want more than the free Zone firewall offers.
HELP :-) Thanks ya'll

Thanks Mal,
We're in indecision mode. This computer keeps crashing, but we're just not sure we want to spend the money right now. I'm actually trying to talk hubby into getting me a dell through mypoints. He bought his laptop through them and was very happy with it. They apparently also have a lease program that you can turn in your computer every two years so we really want to think it through. I'll be sure and look for already loaded software. I have the Norton virus scan but that's it right now.

I found that the free Zone Alarm would get too aggressive and not allow me access to the internet at all.
With the combination of Windows ME and the free Zone Alarm, I had to reload my system twice!
I gave up and finally bought Windows XP and Norton Personal Firewall. Those seem to be a great combination. I also have Norton Antivirus Corporate edition (we're allowed to download it at home to help protect work files, as I access them from home quite often)

read on another board that a Member of blink was attacked again yesterday at Blink.
Please if you have not already gotten one get a firewall or Norton's internet security.
These people are serious in wanting to steal pass words so they can wipe out all your accounts and your hardwork.

Stupid question here... but how do you know when you incounter one of these?
We do have a firewall, but it doesn't mean I TRUST it...

your firewall will usually tell you someone has attempted an attack.

Do you need a firewall if you still use dial-up internet service, or do you only need it if you have DSL or cable modem service?

Kathy you need it either way I am dial up.
If you do not have one and are doing rewards I suggest that you check the links I posted on how to tell if you have a trojan horse and check it out.

I wonder if I've gotten a virus I don't know about. I checked my main aol email today and had two emails from MailerDemon ~ the place that returns unsendable email. I clicked it open and saw this list of people that I had never seen before who supposedly had sent email to, but it was undeliverable. I've also noticed now that I sometimes get email from my screenname but it's adverts, I think they can do that now, make it look like email from you. I'm still hesitant to go ahead and order a firewall because we're supposed to be getting a new computer. I do have the Norton program that came with my computer but when it does scan it says I'm virus free, but then it's at least2 years old. I HATE HACKERS, they cause us wayyyy too much stress.

even if it is two years old you can still update it at their website usually for free.
Also many firewalls are free.
by the way DO NOT OPEN repeat DO NOT OPEN any email with a nondelivered in title. It releases the virus also you DO NOT have to open an attachment to release it.
If I were you I would update that virus program now and run it also install ZoneAlarm(firewall)they have a free version.
Bonnie posted the link for you in this thread.
