Guess it's never too early to start a PTR for your next trip?!?!

Heather (28): I am a SAHM..Mother of 2! I LOVE Disney...especially now that we have kiddos to watch the excitement through their eyes! My Favorite character is Minnie!

James (DH30): Is a very hard worker!! He also likes Disney very much...never said he didn't want to go again! ;) His favorite character is Grumpy.

Hunter (DS8): He is 100% BOY! Always going going going.....never slows down. He loves to play Baseball. LOVES his Video game systems too....i think he has almost every system...seems like it anyways! His favorite character is Sully & Mike W.

Ashlynn (DD3): She is 100% GIRL!! Loves to shop, dress up in pretty dresses and twirl around... and loves jewelry. She says that she wants to take Dance classes....so she is in a Ballet/Tap/Gymnastics class! She always moves & shakes it when she hears music on..its just too cute! Her favorite characters are all of the Princesses as well as Minnie, Mickey & Daisy!

Hi there! Great start on your PTR. You can change your title by pressing the Edit button on the very first post and then hitting the go advanced button. That will let you change the title of the PTR. Hope that helps! :goodvibes

01-14-2010, 12:44 PM
Thinking of adding BBB for DD(just her hair, makeup & nails) and DS(they have a 'cool dude' package)...but when??!!

Is it worth it?

Does it take a long time?

My thought was that I could squeeze it in there before our Dinner @ 1900 Park Fare?? :confused3

I originally wanted to do BBB before Akershus but that would be too too early!

Any thoughts?

I would suggest dumping the sci fi ressie. I'm a big girl and a big eater and your day is just jam packed with food. all you'll be doing is running from one ressie to another lol especially if you want to squeeze in BBB. Yes, I think it is def worth it. But not if you have to go from DHS back to MK and then over to GF. Traveling takes up a lot more time than you realize.

Oh i know...I have been looking at all this food we are allowed to get....CRAZY!! Sounds like a TON!! But the DH said he wanted "3 meals a day"...so that's what i did.

We really wanted to try Sci-Fi (it was a request from DS)....so I wonder if I just move it to another day...maybe our last day or sunday???

Decisions, decisions.......

Honestly, I have done DxDP the past 2 trips and have it booked again for this year. We love it. I like having everything pre-paid, love the extra snacks (that we bring home usually, but that is our intention) and just love having an app, entrée and dessert. But trust me when I tell you, 3 meals is just too much. Unless you eat a very small breakfast, small lunch and then skip dinner dessert or app. To say it is a ton is an understatement! What is worse is all the time you spend away form the park. People flame me for the 2 meals I do a day, let alone to throw in a 3rd:scared1: I'm just worried your hubs request will be thrown out the window a couple days into your trip, thus wasting what money you spent on the plan. Tell him to keep in mind that you each have 2 snack credits per day.

def move sci-fi to another day. You will regret running from CP to Sci-Fi to 1900. My dh's one rule is no running frm place to place to place. It drove us mad our first time on dxdp. But you live and you learn. I think I have it down to a science now:teacher:

Thanks! I am going to move it.....maybe we can get in early on our first day...like a lot earlier than we have planned.......off to the dining ressie cart...again! lol

I think he was afraid that w/the other DP w/TS, QS and snack that he wouldnt have enough food.....who knows! This is our first time w/any type of DP....

Thanks so much...you're great!! :worship:

I can see where he would think that! We don't like the QS at all! SO DxDP is the way for us, for now. I think once my DD turns 10 it will be something we have to reevaluate, as she doesn't eat much at all, and I would have to pay adult prices for her! May not be worth it at that point!

Having the DDP paid for in advance is awesome to us, so I think you will enjoy it as well. Just plan it in a way that allows for maximum park time, and not running from meal to meal time:thumbsup2 When I get back from picking DD up from school I will take a better look at your meal options and tell you what I think from my experience :cutie:

Ok, I guess my next question is, why are you doing so much park hopping? why not do a full day at mk then a full day at epcot as opposed back ad forth? Also, I suggest doing rope drops if possible. you have late breakfasts and will be missing prime touring time:thumbsup2

martinolichfamily
01-14-2010, 04:25 PM
This is our first time for CRT..looking forward to it!

We have always done park hopping each day.....not sure why just have.....

Yes I would like the rope drops too but we are not morning people really....we;d rather stay late night at the parks instead. Last trip we were going to go to the EMH mornings but that never happened but we did have an extra 'adult' that took 3 hrs to get ready to leave in the morning so....that wont be happening this time...so maybe....I can get us up and at the park early for breakfast...lets see what dining ressies i can find.

ok...i am going to look at switching it all up now! lol

inkedupmomma
01-14-2010, 04:42 PM
switching up is half the fun! and I agree, I am NOT a morning person lol BUT, the friend I travel with said "you can sleep when you die" and she is right lol! Getting up early and out to the parks made all the difference in the world! Not all the parks, but DEF MK and DAK! Also, being as it is Sept, the parks aren't open as late! Totally stinks!

Anywho, I'm sure your ressies and plans will change a million times between now and Sept!

martinolichfamily
01-14-2010, 05:49 PM
ok...not sure if these made a big change but...I tried not to jump around a lot...the last day will be a trip to all parks...

also made some breakfast adrs earlier... lol

So....I have no new updates as of right now....things have been a little "weird" around our house.....we had a transformer that blew out on Tuesday causing us to loose quite a bit of our electronic stuff and my oven and microwave...man, you really dont know how much you really use things until you no longer have them!! Luckily, everyone was safe and the house is ok...could have been worse I keep saying. Now we just wait to see how the claim with the Electric company comes out.

Anywho....thought I would post some more photos from our past trips...I could really use a WDW trip right about now too!!

Hi Heather! Just jumping in here! Your children are so adorable !!(I know your son probably doesn't want to be called "adorable" so he is "cool") LOVE all the past trip pics, especially when your DD was just a baby!! Cutie Pie! We stayed at Pop Century our last trip and had a great time there! Are you guys flying or driving to Florida? I would love to try BBB for my DD when she gets a bit older, it looks like such a fun experience! Your dining reservations look good, so many of those places I would really like to try!! I can't wait to hear more of your plans! :goodvibes

We are driving again....not too bad of a drive once you get out of Louisiana. As long as the kids have snacks, movies, color wonder books (love those :lovestruc) and PSP or DS they are great and easy riders!! I am looking forward to BBB for DD....although DS is going to do the "cool dude" package as well....couldnt leave him out.
I am excited to try our ADRs..in the past we didn't really eat that much at WDW, we took our lunches and snacks so it will be a nice change I think! I just hope to remember to take Food Pics so I can post them after we return...I love looking at all the food pics!
Thanks for coming over! ;)

Jumping over from your post on my PTR! Great report so far! Looks like you've had some great familiy trips to WDW! The Lego store looks so cool - I bet your son loved it! My DS6 is so into Legos right now, I can't wait to take him there...I need to have him start saving some money now to take there!

Looking forward to reading more of you plans!

The lego store is really cool...tons of lego stuff!! Your DS would so love it!! My DS already requested that he get to go there again! We give DS & DD each a Mickey Gift card w/an amount on it for them to shop with and when it's gone, it's gone. They are going to get one for Valentine's Day and then Easter.....we also have a 'Disney Jar' that they are putting change in and some dollar bills so that will be some extra 'play' $$ too....They like to find the change and go throw it in the jar!

Hmmm...from all accounts, if you do the bun hairstyle--the hair will stay all week if you want it to stay (even with swimming and rain)! I guess it would depend--do you want her to feel fresh and dressed up for the big night at 1900 Park Fare or would you rather have longer time being a dressed up princess? Choices, choices, choices. Are you doing the Castle package--dress, hair, makeup and nails? It takes an hour or so to get everything done.

We decided to go ahead and do our DD's appointment first thing in the morning. Risky but since it is her birthday we want it to start on a magical note! :goodvibes

Right now I just have it for her to get nails, makeup and hair....I was going to take a dress w/us.
Oh...what to do what to do....I may leave the appt as is right now then since the hair will stay....I probably wont put her in her dress until right before dinner.

I guess I should get this PTR started with a little more details on each day.

Well.....I totally changed our driving days/times!! :) For the better I am hoping!

Day 1 (of driving..July 1st):
Leave home after DH gets off work(hoping that can be a decent time) arrive at Grandma's House in MS...this is a 6 hour drive about.

Day 2 (of Driving..July 2nd):
leave Grandma's about 8 am
arrive @ WDW about 6 pm (hoping) :woohoo:

For dinner we have a ressie at Whispering Canyon Cafe @ 8:45p. This is a first for us!!

We will be having many 'firsts' on this trip! (You can go two years in a row and still have missed things from last time!)

I am planning on packing DS & DD their own backpack of goodies again. I did this last year and it turned out great! I got each one a color wonder binder kit and extra book, plastic crayons (the ones that twist up..just in case the sun wanted to melt them!), new coloring book, Disney Pez character....i forgot what else was in there. We also had plenty of different snacks too. DS took his PSP and had a portable dvd player incase he didnt want to watch the 'girly' movies. Kept them occupied and busy...they really didn't nap that much. My Expedition also has a DVD player in it so that is a BIG plus too! :goodvibes

Next up......... DAY 2 @ Magic Kingdom!

martinolichfamily
02-10-2010, 09:38 PM
:headache: Too many restaurants to choose from! lol

Thinking of adding/changing:

Chefs de France for lunch on 7/4 and moving my dinner at Garden Grill a little later that night....Illuminations is at 10pm....we hadn't seen this before.

Debating whether or not I should keep Cape May on 7/6 (this is our waterpark/DTD day and then maybe Epcot since it is EMH) or should I should add a dinner ADR at Epcot for this night but for which restaurant...it is EMH til midnight.

Also thinking of dropping my HDDR ressie for the Mickey's Backyard BBQ ressie...I really don't want to do both since they are both 2 meal credits....and we are using 2 already for CRT the first night.

And I just thought that I had all my ADRs lined up just right and ready to go!

Oh the choices that one has!!! I am going to be lying in bed thinking about what to do!

Any suggestions?

:wave2: I am back finally on DIS after being out of town!! Time to catch up ;)

Choices are right!! :rotfl:

Right now I just have it for her to get nails, makeup and hair....I was going to take a dress w/us.
Oh...what to do what to do....I may leave the appt as is right now then since the hair will stay....I probably wont put her in her dress until right before dinner.

Ahh to have choices--it is a good thing though for those of us suffering from ODPD it can lead to moments of insanity! :lmao: We are doing the same thing--same package and bringing a dress. I will have a special shirt for her to wear there and shorts, so she can always be changed back into them if she wants out of her dress. I am thrilled with it!! I will have to get a post together on my PTR about it soon.

Day 1 (of driving):
leave home @ 8am arrive @ Crestview FL about 6pm
eat dinner @ Cracker Barrel (it's next door to the hotel - thats a bonus..I  me some Cracker Barrel!!)

Day 2 (of Driving) BUT Day 1 of WDW:
leave hotel @ 9am arrive @ WDW about 4pm :woohoo:
we have a 5:45pm ressie for CRT....so this will be a MK afternoon! I talked to a CM and was told that MK has the 4th of July festivities on July 3rd as well!
:rolleyes1 hmmm....thinking maybe it would be better to find a place past Crestview to stay to make Day 2 driving shorter!

I am thinking maybe trying to hang tight and make it to Tallahassee (an extra 149 miles/2 1/2 hrs) or Live Oak FL ( an extra 228 miles/ 3 hrs 40 mins)... what to do what to do :confused3

Off to check out hotels.com! :surfweb:

Next up......... DAY 1 @ Magic Kingdom!

Whew! I did not realize you had as much driving :car: as we d0! I sure hope everyone is a pleasant mood for you--it makes things so much easier. :goodvibes

Hmm...can you push your family to drive farther and still get up in decent moods to get to Disney? I would love to get farther on our big day of driving but I figure Valdosta, GA is as far as I am going to get them without compromising their moods the next day. I am finding it is such a balancing act--get far enough but not so far it makes day two more difficult. Hopefully the excitement will make everyone get up on Day two for the both of us (and not keep everyone up on the night of Day one).:wizard:

Have you read about HDDR and MBBBQ? I have read multiple TR about HDDR but not the BBQ. Most liked the entertainment of the HDDR and a few commented the food was so so. WCC has better according to the last one I read.

If you make a later dinner before Illuminations, I would try to make sure you leave time to get a comfy spot to watch if possible! I imagine with you doing it on the 4th EP is not going to be as crowded as MK! :scared1:

Have you played around with the Dinning Ressies online yet? You could see how they are booking out and base your decisions on it. It can be addicting though :rolleyes1

The video of your daughter listening to the phone call from Tiana--so cute!!

Looking forward to hearing about more plans :yay:

We will be at Disney over 4th of July as well. Congrats on your first pre-trip. I started mine and boy it has been a challenge.

Your children are adorable. I love the pictures of the first trip. That is my most memorable with our DS. There is nothing like Disney through a child's eyes!

I hope all worked out with the electric and your appliance issue. I manage the office/accouting department for an electric cooperative and I know that can be very stressful for those affected. I handle all those claims on our end.

I loved the post about Cracker Barrel. We are driving 14 hours from Ohio and DH and DS already told me no Cracker Barrel and no Subway. I love to stop for breakfast in the morning and keep trucking in the afternoon with a sub in the car. It drives them crazy!

Look forward to your next update!

I am thinking of just letting DD stay in shorts and shirt until we go eat @ 1900 Park fare. What does your 'special' shirt look like or say?

Whew! I did not realize you had as much driving :car: as we d0! I sure hope everyone is a pleasant mood for you--it makes things so much easier. :goodvibes

It's a drive but its so worth it!! :) I am going to try to push it farther along on Day 1 so we have maybe 3 hours to get to WDW on Day 2....hopefully it'll work out!

Have you read about HDDR and MBBBQ? I have read multiple TR about HDDR but not the BBQ. Most liked the entertainment of the HDDR and a few commented the food was so so. WCC has better according to the last one I read.
I read some review about HDDR...mostly so-so....DS said he wants to eat there and not MBBBQ since HDDR is inside! I read some about WCC and actually had that as an ADR early on but I read toomany negatives about them....so I dropped that ADR.

If you make a later dinner before Illuminations, I would try to make sure you leave time to get a comfy spot to watch if possible! I imagine with you doing it on the 4th EP is not going to be as crowded as MK! :scared1:
I ended up changing our ADR time to 7:10p instead of 5:35p @ Garden Grill. Illuminations is at 10p so I was thinking that would work out better maybe. :confused3 Yes, A CM told me its better to go to MK on the 3rd of July b/c it's the same as on the 4th. We'll see how that works out!

Have you played around with the Dinning Ressies online yet? You could see how they are booking out and base your decisions on it. It can be addicting though :rolleyes1
I have changed/moved our ADRs so many times its not even funny!! I am hopefully keeping what we have now....I will have to relist our new ADRs....I think I just moved some around.
The video of your daughter listening to the phone call from Tiana--so cute!!
Thanks! She loved it!

DD's shirt: I am going to make her a rhinestone Minnie shirt that also says Birthday Girl. Depending on when I lay it out, it will either be Birthday Girl under the Minnie head or curving around the Minnie head. Does that make any sense? :rotfl:

I will either put it with a skirt or a pair of shorts. :goodvibes

DD is taking ballet/tap/gymnastics @ The Little Gym...she is still very shy (she does not go to school yet and i have been SAHM with her from birth) in the class but usually warms up at the end and participates & loves the gymnastics part of class. So......I had a brain 'toot' the other day.... :lmao:

What IF...

a. Add an extra night to our stay (meaning coming in on the 2nd of July instead of the 3rd....leave home Thursday (July 1) after DH gets off work and drive to MS to stay at his grandma's (that cuts off 6 hrs of drive time) and then get up and boogie to WDW on the 2nd??? About 10 hrs of drive time...then we are there and ready for a FULL day on the 3rd instead of half day??!!?!

OR

b. I could leave it the same amount of days and switch to Caribbean Beach Resort??

WHAT DID I DECIDE?????????????

:rolleyes1

I called and added an EXTRA day of course!! :cool1:

Maybe DH won't notice!! I asked him the other night if he would notice if I did that...so really he 'knows' I would prob add it!

Now to add extra ADR's...breakfast and lunch.....I actually got a later ressie @ CRT for 8:15p now!!

Any suggestions for a breakfast and Lunch for July 3rd ???

For breakfast....maybe we can sleep in a bit and grab something easy @ POP for breakfast...
For lunch.... added a ressie for The Plaza @ 1:45p.....not sure if it will stay or not....will be a first.

Now to add extra ADR's...prob late breakfast or early lunch since we have a 5:45p @ CRT princess: (and I cant find any other times available during our stay!!

Any suggestions for a late Breakfast or early Lunch for July 3rd ???)

:dance3:Congrats on adding that extra night! More time at Disney is always a great thing!

Our favorite breakfast is O'hana's. I can't remember if that was already on your list or not. The food is awesome and we love the charater interaction and atmosphere.

On to the Plan for Day 2 (July 3rd).....Magic Kingdom!

A CM informed me that MK does the 4th of July celebration on the 3rd as well as on the 4th..and it might not be as crowded on the 3rd...so...we'll give it a try! :) MK is having "4th of July Concert in the Sky" @ 9:00p.

I hope we all get a good nights sleep and wake up in good moods and ready to go! Usually we are in great moods while at WDW! Who wouldn't??!!

Today is for Magic Kingdom..that is our first park we do each time!

Breakfast will be at POP Food Court or we may grab something at the park once we are in! I really want to make it for Rope Drop @ MK! We have NEVER done this before and would like to see what it's all about! The park opens @ 9am this day.

I have a ressie for The Plaza for lunch @ 1:45p...this will be a first for us if we keep this ADR. The menu looked pretty good I thought.

For Dinner we have a ressie to eat in the Castle!! We are soo excited about this! Our ressie is for 8:15p. I am a little nervous for DH to be picky here.

I plan on staying at MK all day and no park hopping. We seem to always start off in Adventureland. My favorite ride at MK is Pirates of the Caribbean.

MK closes at 11p this night so it'll be somewhat an early night to bed.

I must go to Aloha Island too and try the famous Dole Whip for the first time!

I have also been getting WDW designs from the DISigners to make my kiddos shirts instead of buying a shirt for each day.

This day for MK, We will all be wearing our new Mickey/Minnie shirts that I ordered from Disney Store online(I actually bought them for our Chef Mickey's ADR but we canceled that).

Next........... Day 3 plans!

:thumbsup2Great plans for Day 1. This will be the first year we are not in Magic Kingdom the first day. It is usually a tradition for us.

If possible, you should see the MK Opening. I  it! It can really get your excitement going when you hear the train and then see all the characters. Plus, walking down Main Street is awesome. Cast members are down the street welcoming you and waving with their Mickey hands. :cloud9:It is wonderful! I wish I was there now!

I am making it mandatory that we make it to Rope Drop! It will be a first....that will be our only morning w/no breakfast ressie...so why not experience another 'first'! It sounds fun!

Oh me too....I wish our trip was closer than 95 days!!!
I know I know....it will be here before we know it! 8 more weeks of school left for DS...I am sure it will fly by!

Hi Heather!

Congrats on the extra day!!! :cool1: I would have choosen that option as well!! That's great hat it worked out that way!

Your plans for MK look great! I'm sure dinner at the castle will be wonderful! Have you done dinner there before or is this the first time?

Good luck on getting to rope drop! My plan is to do RD at MK on our first day there as well - hope we can make it! I'm guessing that on the first morning we'll all be excited enough to get ourselves up and out of bed!

Great idea for the T-shirts. I've thought about making some too, I need to go over to the DISigners thread and look at their designs. I think we'll wear matching shirts the first day for sure, and maybe more than one day (I can just picture my DH rolling his eyes as I type this) :rotfl2:

Your plans for MK look great! I'm sure dinner at the castle will be wonderful! Have you done dinner there before or is this the first time? This will be a first time to eat there! I had thought of eating there last trip but it was too much $$ I thought! But now that we are on DxDP this trip it makes it nice to dine where ever and not worry about the price. IMO.

Thanks! Last trip I bought a new shirt for DD & DS for each day of our trip...i shopped the deals though thank goodness! You should check them out...they are super nice and will peersonalize their designs for you w/names or whatever! I've gotten some really cute ones. Thats too funny...I ask DH last night if he would wear matching shirts if I made them! :rotfl: Um.....he really didnt give me a straight answer on that one. I have a design that is Pirate Mickey/Minnie that I think he would wear..maybe...hopefully! :lmao: I am sure he would if DD said so! I'll post pics once the shirts are made! I made a practice one..maybe I can find them and take a pic and post. [QUOTE]

On to the Plan for Day 3 (4th of July).........Epcot!
We have NEVER made it all the way around...the only country we have made it to is Mexico and that was just to eat there!

Epcot(FW) has EMH this morning....will we make it to RD here too and still have time to get to Akershus on time??

We have breakfast (8:10a) planned at Akershus to have some fun w/the Princesses! This will be a first as well!

Then we have a ressie for lunch @ Chefs de France (1:40p)...not 100% sure that this one will stay. Thought it would be cute to see Remy from Ratatouile..hoping he would make it to our table of course!

Onto dinner (7:10p)...we have a ressie at Garden Grill..the reviews I have read are positive so I am looking forward to this one too...DS chose it too as Chip & Dale, Mickey & Pluto will also be there.

We have yet to see Illuminations (10:00p) either..so....this is a must tonight as it is the 4th of July!! Another first! We sure have alot of firsts!! That's my reason to DH that you can go two years in a row and experience new things! ;)

Planning on taking our time this day at Epcot in order to see all the countries and different experiences there! As for rides...Test Track is a favorite w/us all...wonder if DD will be able to make the height requirement (40") this time! I'll have to measure her....

well...

she is 38" right now w/no shoes!! :rolleyes1

For the shirts this day....DD & DS will have Red, White & Blue Tie-Dye Mickey Shirts!

CUTE shirts!!! ohhh..that is a good idea, I didn't even think about shirts for the character breakfast! I've thought about doing shirts for the different parks day, but that would be fun to have shirts for the breakfast as well! Maybe I'll just do shirts for the kids for the breakfast....I'm probably pushing DH to his limit on the matchy-matchy stuff!

Hoping your DD hits a growth spurt these next 3 months! You never know...my DS4 grew almost 4 inches in the last year - so with shoes she could be close!

:dance3: for another day!! We are trying Plaza for the first time too on our trip in September. I think it will be really good. :goodvibes:

Great plans for day 1! I think it will be great to be able to avoid MK on the 4th. It is nice that they do the same show both of those nights. The DISign boards can be quite addicting! I have had a few things made for our trip too. It is so nice that the talented people over there are willing to share their abilities with the rest of us. :goodvibes:

What time are the EMH at EP? I would estimate 30 minutes to walk back to Akershus from the front of EP. I thought I had read somewhere they were taking away Remy, just as a head's up. I am curious to read about Garden Grill and see if you like it. I cannot wait to see a picture of the shirts for this day--they sound really cute.

On to the Plan for Day 4 (July 5th).....Hollywood Studios & Animal Kingdom!

EMH @ HS this morning is 8 - 9a.

Our Breakfast ressie is for Hollywood & Vine Play & Dine @ 8:30a. This is another first for us!

We did not get to ride TSM last trip due to the wait of course...it was just crazy! So..I will be sending DH off for some FP for TSM while I check in for breakfast! I really want to ride ToT & RnRc this time around!

I have a ressie for 50s Prime Time Cafe for lunch @ 1:10p...this will be a first too! :)
Block Party Bash is @ 3p and I really want to be able to see it and for the kids too of course! Last trip the rain thought it was more important so the parade got canceled.

I do want to check out Starring Rolls as well..the reviews & pics that I have seen for them are just too yummy looking to pass up! Maybe we can get some snacks there but their sandwiches look great too & HUGE!

HS closes @ 7p this night...too early! So...if we are still there, I plan on making our way over to AK.

AK has EMH this night from 7 - 10p.

For Dinner...I have no plan! :scared1: The only 'plan' is to have a CS @ AK maybe...any suggestions??!!?? I was thinking to make a ressie for Y&Y but I am not sure that DH would enjoy the food there. :confused3

For the shirts this day....DD will wear Little Einsteins and DS will wear Star Wars or Monsters Inc.

We are going to 50's Prime Time as well--only a day earlier. I am so looking forward to eating there. The food looks fabulous.

You will love TSM. It is our favorite ride. You might think about all of you going and riding first and then getting FP for later. We were at rope drop last year, got in line, rode in less than 5 minutes and then got our fast pass. I would think that with it being the day after the 4th crowds may be lower as a lot of people will sleep in after staying out late for the 4th.

Our Breakfast ressie is for Boma (AKL) @ 8:30a. This is another first for us! I am REALLY looking forward to trying those Zebra Domes!

Today is suppose to be a waterpark and/or Downtown Disney day. Last trip we had the waterpark option and NEVER stepped foot at a waterpark! So...this year we must! I am not too big on the whole waterpark thing but DH & DS  them! Maybe they can go and I will take DD to do something??!!??

I have no plans for lunch...wherever we are at the time is where we'll stop for lunch. Hopefully DTD! :goodvibes WGPE sounds good or T-Rex again...we all enjoyed T-Rex last year! It's a fun place!

For Dinner we have a ressie for Cape May @ 7:15p....DS is looking forward to those crab legs!

Epcot is having EMH this night from 9:00p - Midnight....more than likely we join in for EMH after dinner.

I bought a pack of HP Iron-on Transfers for colored fabrics as a trial run! Found them at Target on sale too! Just save the Disign to your computer and then print it...there are directions on the tranfers box that will help. It was easy! Just buy whatever kind of shirt that you want and iron it on. There are iron-on transfers for white shirts only and for colored shirts....I had read that you should buy the colored ones..it works better and for all shirts. Hope this makes a little bit of sense! ;) It's really simple once you get the transfers and read the directions.

Jojo was so cute when the show was out(that was during DS toddler times) but DD has no clue who she is. DD does know who Handy Manny is so that would be cool to have them go through w/the 'rumor'!! *fingers crossed*

Well, I have not seen F! but it comes so highly recommended by several friends. One in particular says it is the BEST show at Disney period. Which coming from him, he is picky so that means something to me. :thumbsup2 With them offering it such few nights (well at least when we are going, not sure how it is over the summer) it is so hard to get into it that is why we did the F! so we are guaranteed seats without having to wait in line for hours.

I have enjoyed reading your pre-trip report. We will be there the 3-11th as well. We are having dinner the 3rd at Ohana (loved it last trip, had to have it twice this one) and are hoping to catch the fireworks from the beach at the poly resort after dinner. I really don't want to fight the crowds in MK if we can avoid it.

I have heard many positive comments about the F! show... I was able to snag a lunch F! ressie on July 8 @ 3:20p @ Mama Melrose. Now I have to try and move things around to fit it in! That was the only day I could get though!

On to the Plan for Day 6 (July 7th).....Magic Kingdom Day...again!!! Maybe park hopping too but not sure where yet!

Our Breakfast ressie is Crystal Palace @ 8:20a. This is another first for us!
I am really looking forward to walking down Main Street before the park opens! Another first! :)

DD & DS have a BBB appointment @11:00am! DD is getting the CROWN Package (includes Hair Style, Shimmering Makeup, Nails, Princess Sash)! We will be bringing a Cinderella Dress w/us from home and may buy the Cinderella shoes once we are there or before....not definate yet. I would  to do the CASTLE Package (includes Hair Style, Shimmering Makeup, Nails, Princess Sash, Princess Costume and Shoes, Crown, Wand, and Imaging Package, which includes 1 - 6x8 and 4 - 4x6 photos in a beautifully themed photo holder) for DD but...I really cant get over that price tag that comes with it! :headache:
DS is getting the COOL DUDE package (includes Hair Style, Colored Gels/Sparkles, Mickey Face Stencil).

I have no plans for lunch...wherever we are at the time is where we'll stop for lunch.

After lunch we may hop over to another park or two maybe depending on time and all of course!

For Dinner we have a ressie for 1900 Park Fare @ 8:15p! DD will wear her Cindy dress at dinner! :cutie:
We ate here last year and really enjoyed it..the food...atmosphere...characters..all was great!

After Dinner (since its a little later) we will just return to our room for a good nights sleep hopefully!

For the shirts this day....DD will wear pooh: that I have a wonderful DISign for! DS is probably going to have a Splash Mountain shirt to wear...he loves that ride!

Next........... Day 7 plans!

Hi Heather!

Your day 5 sounds great! That would be great to walk down Main Street without the crowds! How nice!

You know, I did not know that they did anything for boys at BBB - I just assumed it all and only for girls! I mean, I know it is realy mostly for girls, but at least they have something for the boys to do and get dressed up too! I had read they are pricy - but one of those things you just gotta do with a little girl!

No I am not doing a PTR. This is only our 2nd trip as a family. The first trip was in December and there were 9 of us. My son is missing out on this trip because it falls into his dad's time and he won't let him. I check out the kids stay free but it told me pop was not available. I did however get a pin from disney in an email and saved 303.16 on this trip. Free quick service dining plan and just paid difference for the regular dining plan.

I am really excited to see Main Street empty too. I know the price for the Castle package is pricey! We debated between the Castle and crown but went with the crown package instead too. I am glad to read that you like 1900 PF. That is where we are eating for DD's birthday. :goodvibes: It is one of the places I am looking forward to most.

:woohoo: for saving more money!! We are hoping for FD tomorrow. G-U-L-P!!!

On to the Plan for Day 7 (July 8th).....Do whatever day!

Our Breakfast ressie is for O'hana @ 9:20a. This is another first for us!
I am really looking forward to checking out The Poly!

Today is suppose to be a waterpark and/or Downtown Disney day again.
If the other waterpark day doesn't go too well for DD...we may go to a park or DTD again by ourselves and have a little girl time!

I have no plans for lunch...wherever we are at the time is where we'll stop for lunch.

For Dinner we have a ressie for Hoop Dee Doo Revue @ 7:15p!
This sounds like a fun time and good food! Looking forward to it!

Epcot is having EMH this night from 9:00p - Midnight....more than likely we join in for EMH after dinner. We are night owls if you can't tell yet. ;)

For the shirts this day....DD & DS will wear O'hana shirts to breakfast and then HDDR shirts to dinner.

My ticker is under 2 months now!! So exciting!! :dance3:

Hi Heather!

Congrats on the Kids Stay/Play discount! Always nice ot save extra $$! That is hilarious about the PIN - I know I would have all super excited, then to see it is for the wrong destination!! :headache: At least you had the other discount anyway...

Great countdown calendar! I really need to think about making one. How did you make the Mickey heads? I know I've seen punches at the craft store or some people use a Cricut - I don't have either. And even though I'm a scrapbooker, I CANNOT for the life of me cut things out!

Wow you are under 2 months - that will be coming so fast! Your day 6 plans look nice - nice to have some free time and kind of play it by ear...see what you feel like that day. You are much more brave than me when it comes to keeping kids up late and doing EMH. I do have a couple late nights planned but we're able to sleep in the following day. My kids so used to their bedtime schedule it seems like they are huge grumps when I do let them stay up late - I've learned my lesson a couple of times! But once summer is here we can loosen up the schedule a bit...makes it hard when DS4 is completely exhausted and refuses to take a nap! Then he's falling asleep at 6pm on a chair...:sad2: When he's tired he can make it misery for all!

If you look upclose my cutting job isnt that great! ;)
We did late night EMH last year and the kids did great....DD fell asleep in her stroller if she was too tired. Here at home they are usually up later at night anyways....DS has a 8:30p bedtime during school but since bball has been going on it's been so much later which isnt great when he needs to be awake and in a decent mood at 7am! :scared1: I keep saying only 4 more weeks of school....we can do it!!

Hello Heather!
finally made it back and caught up w/the use of your table of content...so, if you had any major changes I'm not aware of them...

I love how you plan to use the EMH seems to me a very well laid out plan and not rushed...I have never been to WDW at that time of the year so I not sure what type of crowds you are dealing with. I really like how you incorporated your water parks days into the middle of your days. Danny and I said next time we are going to work in a down down right in the middle of our days...

I can't wait to hear about the hoop de do revue...I have always wanted to try that!

On to the Plan for Day 8 (July 9th)..... All Parks!

So sad that this will be our last full day at WDW...last day to fit in all of our favorite attractions in all of the parks!

Our Breakfast ressie is for Tusker House @ 8:15a. This is another first for us!
AK opens at 9a so we will be in before the park opens! :woohoo:

Looking forward to riding Dinosaur again! We  this ride! Last year we rode about 3 times in a row! It is great! I missed out on Expedition Everest last year....hoping to get to ride this time around!

Park Hopping time.........Hollywood Studios!

I have a ressie for Sci-Fi Dine-In for lunch @ 2:30p...this will be a first too!

After lunch we will try to fit in our favorite attractions.

Park Hopping time again.........Epcot!

Of course....Test Track will be a must do again! We all  this ride too! DD will hopefully be tall enough to ride and I hope that she likes it!
We will wonder around and do others as well.

If there is any time in between here....we might go back to our resort for a bit.

Park Hopping time yet again...........Magic Kingdom!

MK has EMH this night til 2a!!!!

We have dinner ressies at Tony's Town Square @ 8:45p.

After dinner we will just take advantage of the EMH and enjoy the last night at WDW. :sad2:

Let's hope that all goes smooth this day in order to get to each park at least for a bit. What a busy day! ;)

For the shirts this day....both kiddos will wear Animal Kingdom shirts (breakfast is @ Tusker House).

Next........... Our last morning to wake up in WDW!

I finally came over to check out your PTR! I'm only on page 5 and I need to get to bed but I'll get caught up soon! I wanted to comment before I forgot what I was thinking:

BBB - We went to MK in the morning and then went back to POR for lunch. Jilly changed into a white tank and shorts and then we headed to BBB for a 3:15 appt. She had the long style because I didn't think the back of her hair would stay up in a bun. We had dinner ADRs at 1900 Park Fare at 7:20 (but weren't seated until closer to 8PM). She didn't complain at all about having the dress on for that amount of time, and she fell asleep on the way back to POR that night. The next day she wanted to take her hair down so I went ahead and washed it out. The BBB was her favorite part of the whole trip!

MK breakfast - at the Maint St. Bakery we had a DELICIOUS ham & cheese croissant, cinnamon roll and strawberry smoothie and it counted as one quick service meal credit. We added one more smoothie with a snack credit and that was plenty of food for the three of us!

Can't wait to read more!

:welcome: Glad you stopped by!
I cant wait to see Jilly's BBB photos!! I will have to show my DD. I always see the bun style hair do on everyone so I am looking forward to seeing the other style! Not sure what my DD will want..hopefully she will go with the bun that way it is up off her back and will hopefully stay put until that night for dinner! Wow! Ya'll hace a bit of a wait at 1900PF for dinner.
What package did Jilly get at BBB?

Yum-o! I  a ham & cheese croissant!! I will have to remember that!!
Thanks for that little info for breakfast! ;)

On to the Plan for Day 9 (July 10th)..... Departure day.

BUT before we leave....we must have Breakfast!

We have a ressie for breakfast w/Alice & the Mad Hatter!
1900 Park Fare @ 9:45a

We had originally had breakfast planned at Chef Mickey's for this day but DD requested to eat w/Alice in Wonderland! So...we canceled CM for 1900 PF.
This will be a first for breakfast here!

After we get done eating breakfast, it will be that dreaded time to have to say "Goodbye" to WDW. :sad1:

For the shirts this day....DD will wear 'Alice' and DS will wear 'Mad Hatter'.

I will keep my fingers crossed that DH will agree and on the way home we will be able to spend a night or two at Destin and enjoy the Beach for a bit.

I have enjoyed writing this PTR! My first!

Hopefully my TR will be much better! :)

To keep my PTR going, I will be adding various pics from our past trips!

Thanks to everyone for reading along!! :goodvibes

Day 7: I am loving having a "do whatever day" too although the guys are golfing and the gals are doing tea. Other than those, the day is do whatever. Some girl time at DTD sounds like a good time to me. So cute your DD is excited about the countdown calendar!!

The gifts you made for Mother's Day are great!! I have made the truffle version, but not the pops yet. Happy Mother's Day way late--I have been on sporadically and keep missing updates.

:woohoo: for being paid off. I hope to do that the beginning of June. :goodvibes: I hope you have a good experience with your TA!! I would love to get a camper at some point. I am ready to move up from tents! :rotfl: Sadly, I don't think we are going to make it out this summer--too much going on. :sad1:

Day 8: wow! Your family is going to be the park hopping masters!! I read a TR where a family did all four parks in one day and they had a blast! I think it would be a lot of fun and a great experience. I am enjoying your PTR!! Thanks for doing it.

I cannot believe how quickly your trip is coming up--your ticker is going to be under one month soon!!

DD loves to shop..so I am sure we could make a day at DTD easy waiting on the guys to get done at waterpark if we decide to skip it.

We are going to give 4 parks in a day a try...at least to just catch our favorite rides.
Before you know it we will all be packing our suitcases ready to hit the road to WDW!! :mickeyjum Can't wait!!

I actually only have one shirt completed!! :rotfl:
I still have to go and buy the shirts and finish printing out my transfers! I plan on finishing up all of this after we get back from our camping trip!
Thanks...I  looking back on our old pics from WDW!

We will definately have to plan to meet up at least once while we are all in WDW! Maybe when the time gets closer, we can exchange cell #s and text when we can meet up or something! Would be my first DIS meet! Seems that we are going to be having a lot of firsts on this trip! :goodvibes

Hi Heather!

I'm all caught up again! Wow you've had a lot going on! Congrats on getting the trip paid off!

Congrats also on the new vehicle and camper! We'd love a 5th wheel - we're selling out travel trailer this year too - not sure what we'll get but we won't start looking until next year. Are you camping for Memorial weekend in the new camper?

WOW - your last day looks intense!!! Hopping to all 4 Parks! Hope it all works out for you - should be a lot of fun and nice to go back and do your favorites again! And nice that you are able to fit in one last character meal before heading home - nice way to end the trip!

Great shirts! You've inspired me to get started on mine now!

Hi Karen!
Glad you got all caught up! :)
We are not taking the 5th wheel out until school is out...camping at the river in the hill country (we go every year)...but I will be working in it this weekend....loading it up w/what came out of the old camper! All that stuff has been just sitting in my garage taking up space!! :headache:
I hope we are able to make it to all 4 parks to at least hit the favs! We'll see! ;)
The shirts are fun to make....a bit nerve racking at first but once you get it down it goes fast! I have used 3 different types of transfer paper now and my favorite so far is the Wilton brand that I got at our craft store (Michael's)! Those 40% off coupons are great for that pack of 5 transfer papers @ $9.99 a package!! Be sure to post pics of your shirts once you get going! I only have about 12 or more to go probably! :rotfl:

For the shirts - I used the Wilton brand from my craft store...they seem to be the best....make sure your read the directions first! I didnt read them all the way....it said to wash the shirt first! I did do that on all my disney shirts though! The girl at my craft store said that that brand is really good too...women come running in for those at the store!
They are kinda pricey I think but oh well!

Any guesses?????????????????????????

We had some pixie dust on our little adventure to cash in the Disney jar today! pixiedust:

We took all that change to my bank to use their machine (like coinstar)..she said they charge 4% to cash in if you have an account. no problem.
We we talking and told her that all the change was for the kids' Disney spending $$...we talked about when we were leaving, etc...
After the machine gave us our total (last chance to guess :goodvibes)...she said I'm not going to charge you the 4% !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo: Thank you bank teller!! :cool1:

TOTAL was............................................... ...

$200.00 in change.......

and

$ 12 in bills!!!!!
We couldn't believe it! I was thinking that if we had $100 we would be doing good!! Off to get some Disney Gift Cards tomorrow at the Disney Store!! :yay:

Just had to share!!
DS had to call Dad (my DH), Mimi(my mom) and PoPo(my dad)!! He was so excited!! :rotfl2:

We were going to drive as it looked like it was going to be cheaper, but..........I found a really good deal and found tickets on Delta for all 3 of us for just $562. :cheer2: So we are flying down from DTW. We will head to a hotel for a park n fly deal when I get out of work on Friday. We have 10 am flights on Saturday and it takes 2 hours to get to the airport. This way there is no stress. One bonus is not having to deal with car sick DD. She tend to get car sick in the morning car rides if we are not careful. She is getting so excited. It will help when we start packing some things this weekend that we are not using. The princess dresses and crowns are a must. She is excited to have breakfast with the princesses. We are just waiting on our Disney mail. We got our DME mail already. The excitement is building daily.

Are your kids asking when do we get to go yet? She keeps asking I just send her to her countdown calendar to tell me the red number. That's how many days are left. :rotfl2:

Wow! That's a great price for airfare tickets!! It's over $1600 for the 4 of us to fly into orlando. I cant see spending that much just on airfare!
You should be getting your Disney mail anyday now I would think!
Yes..the kiddos are asking when do we go?? They look at the countdown and figure it out! ;)

DH was talking about driving ALL the WAY through on thursday now!
He always changes his mind...drives me crazy sometimes! :rotfl2:

Heather:

No, I did lay a few things out though. I found out last night that Jeremy's ball season is not over as I had hoped it was Tuesday night. Their tournament is now starting the Monday of the week we leave so I guess we will be at the ballpark at least two nights before we leave. I had hoped it would be over the weekend we left but I guess I couldn't get that lucky.

I have got to get with it the next 2 weeks (:yay:-it's only 2 weeks away!). I am going tomorrow to finish getting everything at the mall and the transfers for our shirts. We will be in Kentucky throughout the weekend visiting our Dad's. Tom and Jeremy are at Scout Day camp next week and Jeremy has bible school at night. That only leaves next weekend to get a lot accomplished! Wish me Luck!

Great news!
I had my very 1st DIS meet yesterday!!! :cool1:
Me, DD and DS met up w/Debbie (adisneymama) and her DD & DS at the local mall (outside the Disney store, of course!! ::MickeyMo)....we are practically neighbors! It's so funny how things work out...we met on the Dis and don't live too far away from each other...we were also at Disney last year at the same time!!
Our kids got along very nicely...they are looking forward to meeting up at MK and riding Splash Mountain together and some others I am sure....as well as having lunch together!! :) Such a sweet family!

Um.....we forgot to take a pic of us all too!! A must when we meet up at Disney!! :)

Packing will start this weekend at my house. My dd and I will start it, along with getting the mousekeeping envelopes printed and hopefully filled. (that way she can lick them:lmao:) We will be fitting in Toy Story 3 in 3D on Saturday too. :woohoo: I made an excel file for my packing list and everytime I think of something I put it in the file. I keep looking for a slightly earlier Ohana reservations on the 3rd but no luck so far.:confused3 Keep thinking maybe we might go into the parks on the 3rd. Maybe not. Might save that for the 11th.

May I ask how much you will be putting in for Mousekeeping?
We didn't do it last year (I didnt know really) and felt really bad after I read about all of those that tip! So...we are going to do it this year for sure!
I was able to get an earlier ressie for Ohana today for breakfast!

~ Thanks to jeremysdisneymom, I scheduled a Pirate Cruise for DS!
It's going to be a complete surprise to him though!
DS will be attending the Bayou Pirate Cruise that leaves from Port Orleans
Riverside marina @ 9:30a 7/8
It's going to be so hard to keep it from him but I want something just for
DS to do....my DH asked if he can go w/him!! :rotfl:

Anywho...here's the changes I made to our ADRs.

Canceled Chefs de France and added Coral Reef (DH asked for this) @
1:05p 7/4...we are going to be STUFFED this day I am afraid!

Switched Ohana and Boma...now its:
O'hana @ 8:30a 7/6
Boma @ 9:45a 7/8

That's it for now.....I am off to Kohl's again to go shopping for some clothes!! :) DH just got home to keep DS..he just doesnt like to shop!

Hope everyone has a great weekend and Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there!!

We've got 9 more days!! :cool1: So exciting!!!
Oh...did you ever find Ashton some crocs? I found Ashlynn a new pair at Academy BUT now I am unable to find Hunter's size! His crocs broke this past weekend while he was out playing or something! He wants the same ones w/Mickey heads on them.....I cant find them anywhere! I told him that he just has to wait until he gets to Disney World to buy them!

Congrats on the camera. We have a Nikon DSLR and LOVE it! 8 days!!!

Thanks!
8 days OMG!!!! We are getting super excited!!!
I picked up a few snacks to take along..some small bottled pepsi, sprite and orange. I still need to get some gatorade and I already have bottled water but am thinking of getting Ashlynn those small bottles of water to take so its not wasted...also got a small bottle of laundry soap ( i did laundry 2x last trip...its so expensive to buy it there!)....lets see...oh I also found a soft sided cooler bag at Ross for $7!!! It fits under the stroller that way we can have something to put drinks in and keep them cold during our park days. We did this last year but had some that were frozen and used those ones as the "ice" to keep the others cold during the day and just put them all in an extra backpack we had. Saved alot of $$ on drinks!! This way we have our snack credits to use for food snacks and not wasting them on drinks!!

Cant wait to see you guys at MK!! :) I was looking at different CS options for lunch....ones that served stuff other than mac & cheese or burgers or chicken nuggets for oyur kiddos. I cant remember which ones now...I will have to go back an look through the list and menus again! Well...we are off to Target and to get me a haircut!

So...I have been keeping a list of things I would like to try while at WDW as well as things I would like to buy myself (which is not easy...I have a hard time buying for myself but the kiddos have their own $$ to spend on them!!).

So..here goes my list.....feel free to make suggestions or whatever!! Maybe I have passed something up or do not know about it. :confused3

THINGS TO TRY:
- Dole Whip (maybe the float too)
- Zebra Domes
- Dipped Oreo's from Goofy's (more so for DS)
- Kaki Gori (more for the kids and DH..I'm not much of a fan)
- Churro (not a new one but this is DH favorite!)
- Starring Rolls (those sandwiches look great!)
- Jalapeno Cheese Stuffed Pretzel @ AK
- Chocolate Pretzel @ Epcot
- Tie Dye Cheesecake @ POP

THINGS TO BUY:
- Lotion (from Basin..I found a scent I really liked last year and ran out of time to go back and buy it)
- Vinylmation (Must keep my little collection going!! I will buy at least 2 new ones! I bought 2 last year.)
- Vinylmation Jr (these are new and oh so cute...i found them in an email i received...they even have a keychain.....)
- Cereal Bowls (Disney themed)
- Plastic Cups/Tumblers (Disney Themed)
- "Pin" Binder (I read about this on another post..had no clue! This is a must find!!)
- Mouse Ear Family people (my new car needs a family on the back window!!)
- Ridemakerz (for DS ... you can make your own remote control car!)
- Dog Collar (this is a maybe...if they are super cute I just might)

Help me out here if I missed any cool souvies or yummy food to try!!
I sure hope all the walking helps counteract all the food we are about to consume! :rotfl:

We'll be down there about the same time as y'all will be! We will be staying at Pop Century July 2nd-7th at Pop Century and July 7th-10th at Old Key West. Our cast is me, a 46 year old mom and my older DD (19 and a Jonas fanatic, celebrating her 20th birthday!).
:welcome: How exciting to be at WDW for DD birthday and just Mom and daughter!!! FUN!! :cheer2:
Maybe we will get to say "Hi" to each other!!

We saw it this morning! Kids loved it! Aubrey wanted to sit and watch it again! LOL
That is my plan too, have everything but the last minute stuff loaded on Wednesday night. That way when dh gets home around lunch time we can hit the road. I still have a lot to do as well! Hoping I can get it all done.

Hi Heather!!

Congrats on 2 DAYS!!!! :cool1:

I'm so excited for your! Hope all of your packing and planning is going well!

We saw TS3 over the weekend - it was really good, we all loved it.

Sounds like your DH won't have much downtime between getting back from Canada and heading out to WDW! Glad you are liking your new camera - can't wait to see your pix after you get back!

I bet you have a hard time getting to sleep tonight....lol I still have 2 days of work after today. Then we are off to the airport to stay the night. I was trying to get out early Friday, but no such luck. I ended up getting yesterday with a slip from the chiropractor. At least now I can turn my head....:cool1:
