Hi everybody,
Just wondering if there is any extra entertainment/shows or Christmas events etc at Knotts on the weekends, as opposed to weekdays?
Our vacation is December 10 - 16 and we're spending 2 days at Knotts. I'm wondering whether we should do 2 weekdays or 1 weekday plus 1 Sat or Sun, so as not to miss anything extra or Christmasy that might be happening on the busier weekends?
Also, do they have 2nd day free? I was also reading about a 30% discount for AAA members, which I guess we could do, to save having to wait in the long Toys For Tots line!

Your question is more interesting than you might have thought, because, as can be seen here (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2322247), the Toys for Tots program has been revised, and is no longer confined only to weekends. Crowds will be smaller on weekdays, but I simply don't know if you would need a weekend visit to ensure you can enjoy all the seasonal entertainment.
As for admission, I would simply "buy" e-tickets by making online donations for your entire party - two for each person to get two days' admissions.
I've visited KBF on T4T weekends for quite a number of years. The entertainment offered at Christmas time is varied and, IMHO, very enjoyable.
I really have no knowledge of the weekday December entertainment schedules in the past, and wonder if offering T4T admission on weekdays will mean more shows offered than before. I would check this KBF page (http://www.knotts.com/public/park/shows/index.cfm), which should be updated in December, before deciding on which days to visit.
A weekend entertainment schedule is in this thread (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2033456), which has more descriptions of Knott's Merry Farm.

I know in the past they've had an ice-skating show starring Snoopy that's always been very enjoyable. It's somewhere between 30 and 45 minutes long in the theater. They also have a melodrama in the birdcage theater. They've also often had local dance studios perform on weekends during the holidays. And the Knott's Merry Farm starts Thanksgiving weekend with the arts and crafts all throughout Ghost Town.
