We have the opportunity to stay at the poly with the choice of lagoon or concierge lagoon for same charge. Were a young couple with a 17 month old. We probably wouldnt frequent the lounge area/food offerings in concierge and tend to do most of our planning ourselves (find it part of the trip/experience). We like the atmosphere more quiet and spacious rooms. Any opinions? thanks...

If it is the same price, go for the Concierge !!!! I'm not sure on the room size, I don't think there is any difference, but I am not 100% sure.

The price is the same for the lagoon view and the concierge garden view (actually, $5/night more), not concierge lagoon view. Concierge Lagoon View would be an additional $80-$130 per night depending on the season.

I would definately go for the lagoonview! We stayed lagoon view last summer and loved it. The view is absolutely amazing. Plus, if you have a 17month old you can put the baby down to sleep and sit on the patio/balcony and enjoy the view. It is breathtaking. Tahiti bldg(lagoonview) have the largest rooms I believe. Now if the price was the same for the lagoonview concierge then I would say do that but since you already said you didn't think you would use the lounge too often I would say VIEW! Whatever you decide you will love the Poly and the relaxing feeling you get there.

Advantages of concierge (garden view) with a 17-month old include a refrigerator in your room at no extra charge and all the mail s/he can drink. Also breakfast is very simple, relaxed and free. A variety of food is offered throughout the day along with free bottled water and soda.
