Can you use iron on's on a canvas tote bag? As far as shirts ,do I get a 100% cotton shirt or will any cotton blend work? I'm using amymickey iron on's

I used Amy's transfers on canvas bags for our trip this summer. They worked great. I just used the ones you can get at Michael's.
