Do you usually get room upgrades when you arrive early or late in the day?

Do you mean at a DVC resort when staying on points? The only upgrade I've ever heard anyone get is from a standard to preferred view at BWV, but that is rare and the preferred view upgrade was over the quiet pool, not the BW.

Basically, you are never upgraded from a studio to one bedroom, or one bedroom to tw, or two to GV. Never.
I think we heard one report once of something happening in a room and the guest was moved to a larger unit....am I mistaken? Anyone else remember that?
"From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs", Karl Marx,This has failed every time it has been tried, why do we still have liberals?
In Feb. at bwv we had booked a standard studio, but they upgraded us to a 1 bedroom prefered because of remodeling. Awesome!

A friend of mine booked a Studio at BWV through CRO and was upgraded to a 1 BR. They joined DVC that trip :D. The Mouse knows what he's doing ;).

as you can see there have been a few isolated occurences but these are probably less than 1/2 of 1 percent (probably less than that) actually. Your question was "usually" the answer is no, very rarely. There is no incentive for this to really happen. I could possibly see, after getting settled into your accomodations and something going wrong and there being a need to move you and you might wind up with a bigger unit due to circumstances. But checking in early or later has no impact, most of the units have been spoken for months in advance.
