Refrigerator at Poly??

I see where you can get a refrigerator in your room at the Polynesian for a nominal fee. Are they difficult to come by? How much do they charge to get one? Where is there a good place to pick up a carton of milk (close to the Poly and very reasonable) and other food items to put in the refrigerator?:confused:

We stayed at the Poly on July 3rd and had a refrigerator in our room free of charge. We never requested it, it was just there. I would guess by that, they arent too hard to come by. Good luck!

Last August they were charging $10 a day for a frig in the room. We found that a styrofoam cooler kept the food and drinks just as cold if not colder than the frig. We replaced the ice 2x a day. If you put the ice in big ziplock bags you don't have to worry about water leaks on the floor.

I've stayed at the Poly several times and have never gotten a free frig. I wouldn't count on getting it. They are $10 a day to rent. hey are small and not always cool enough. I would request the frig now but you will need to remind the CM at check in that you have requested a frig and you may even have to call the Housekeeping office again once you are in your room.

Oh sorry, I didnt make myself clear. I didnt mean to imply that you could get one for free. I just meant because one was left in our room, it would seem that they arent in high demand, in answer to the question of "are they difficult to come by?". :D

:D I just wanted to let them know that they will need to request and perhaps request again to get the frig. Things go differently each time I am there. :D
