Can you order off the lunch menu during dinner?

This is my first post but have been reading for two months. I hope you guys can help. DH & DS (2) and I will be going to WWD ( 1st time) at the end of Jan for 10 days. We are planning on the deluxe dining plan. Plan to do charcter buffets and TS's at night. Husband is into good food and excited about trying new things. I do not like new things. I like my burgers and sandwiches. Looking at the menus I do not see a lot of things I like at the TS's my husband wants. Can I order off the lunch menu at dinner time? Has anyone tried? Already have some ADR's set but would like to add a couple more if I can find food I like at some of these places. Thanks for help.

I am not sure about every place...but I was able to order a burger for dinner from the lunch menu at Sci-Fi @ DHS with no problems. :) (it was excellent by the way!)

We have ordered off the lunch menu at supper time. When my mother has been with us she has even ordered off of the kids menu. I would recommend just asking the server. It seems that the servers have control over which menu you are able to order from. The only difference between the lunch and supper is the portions and price. I think that sometimes the portions are even the same.

On my son's 13th birthday, he wanted a burger for dinner at Kona. The waiter arranged for this and he had his burger and then was sick with food poisoning all night. i can't say for sure it was the burger, but he was the only one who had something different from the rest (we all had the steak). So I've always wondered if the problem was asking for something from the lunch menu that might not have been so fresh anymore.

Even food not on the time-of-day menu would have been stored safely - e.g. refrigerated at the proper temperature, so, no, I do not believe there was anything wrong with or unsafe about the above poster's son's burger.

But to answer the original question: it would depend on the restaurant and, probably, the preparation needed for the desired food. A hamburger can probably be accommodated; I know for sure that 50's Prime Time will not serve chicken pot pie at dinner.
