Well it is AWESOME. It's now available on ABC.com.

But if you want to see something terrible, go to youtube and watch some of the original V from the 1980s. hahaha this clip is so bad it's hilarious.:lmao::rotfl2:

I loved it, too!! I loved the original, so I was worried about this new version; but I thought it was great. My only complaint was that they crammed way too much into the 1 hour pilot. The V's arrive...and then suddenly it's 3 weeks later?!

Now if Willie the good alien (Robert Englund) would make an appearance! Wondering if they'll be eating any rats soon???

Shoot, I meant to watch it. A co-worker's son worked on the set. He just finished a post-secondary film program and this was his first gig. I'll have to look for it online!

Does anyone know if it is going to be repeated ?

You can watch it online...I'm not aware of any repeats planned for now.

I agree that they basically condensed half the original miniseries into one episode, just to set up all the situations up front.

They actually has V the original mini series on last Sunday on one of the cable channels. ( I forgot which one)
I'll fess up I actually watched the whole 10 hours. I watched it when it was on in the 80's and thought it was awesome, so to see it again was great.
I did DVR the new one the other night but haven't watched it yet.

I watched it. Liked it. I guess they figured we knew the basics so they didn't have to take us through several episodes before we found out about the lizards underneath.

Still creepy to think they "have been with us here for a long time"!

I was hoping my partner would like it so we could watch something together, but he thought it was lame. Oh, well. He can go back to reading his science magazines.

I am a huge fan of the original V series. So I am nervous about this one. (remakes are rarely as good as the original)

I finally watched the pilot online last night. It was ok. I'll keep watching for now and see if I can like it.

I liked the updated intelligent approach of the terrorism element. So far the story and writing seems good.

Not of fan of the reverse meaning of the V tagging with spray paint. I miss Donovan, the Indiana Jones type cameraman. And I miss the red uniforms.

So far, so good. But they have big shoes to fill.

I liked it but I thought they rushed thru so much in 1 hour -- I mean we all know the story, why not take a few weeks to develop it more ...
SPOILER -
I mean why did she find out her partner was one of them so soon and why do we know there are defectors already

Does not look like anyone has picked this up in the UK as SKY reported that the price was too expensive. Guess we will have to wait a while :rolleyes1

I loved the 80's show and I thought the new one was really good too.

I agree with just about everyone else about it being rushed. I felt there were 5 major plot points (4 old, 1 new) that were revealed already. I know that it's a different market today and you need to grab people's attention quickly but there should still be room for plot building.

I really liked the first episode. :thumbsup2 I haven't seen any of the original series.

I agree! And :rotfl2: to the going back to reading his science magazines. That's what my hubby does too if he doesn't like what I am watching.

V and Flashforward are two of my new favorites!!!!

Me too :thumbsup2 With this next season of Lost being the last , I am looking for shows with that same feel to replace it....well nothing can replace Lost but you know what I mean ;)
