Thanks so much Janet, the folks I am referring to are thinking of staying either at car beach or offsite, and this will be their first trip, so to take in the magic of their trip I suggested onsite,

Deb, I hope SeaSpray's photos convince them to give the CBR a try. I stayed there twice over the holidays (once at the beginning of the trip, and then at the end of the trip) and really had a lovely time. I especially liked the main pool area. The resort is beautiful. And huge!

Thanks Janet for the pictures and the trip report. We're staying there Thanksgiving weekend (arriving Wednesday, leaving Sunday).

I just spoke with my travel agent again today (I"m driving them nutty!!) and asked if I could ask for a certain village when they send my final ressies through, she said it wouldn't be a problem, just let her know which room/bldg I would like and she would request it--that doesn't necessarily mean I will actually GET that room/bldg, which I understand..

I'm leaning towards Martinique or Jamaica... I definitely need a non smoking room.. and hopefully the other guests won't smoke where they're not supposed to... yeah, I know, but I can still dream..

Jeanny, my last CBR room was actually a non-smoking room that smelled horribly of smoke. I was too sick (had a very high fever) when I checked into that room to bother to request a different room. I don't smoke and smoke normally drives me crazy, so I know I must have been horribly sick to have not asked the resort to move me. I understand people have a right to smoke, but I would hope that if they were in a non-smoking room, they would make sure to smoke outdoors or in an area that was designated as a smoking area. I should note that during this same vacation, the room that I got for my sister at the BoardWalk was also a non-smoking room that smelled horribly of smoke. I asked my sister if she wanted to be moved, but she said that the smoke didn't bother her that much (she had been a smoker a long time ago). Oh, well. I pray this doesn't happen to you and your guests on your upcoming trip.

I found another site that had excellent info on the CBR, but seaspray's pictures were awesome!!

I hope it's ok to cross post this == it's from a search I had done on the web. I thought the info was excellent.. it's basically the same info from WDW and on DIS, but I think it's everything all included..

Wow, I just saw this thread tonight, and I'm surprised! I feel famous now!! HEHEHE! :) I know I haven't been here on the Resorts boards much the last few months, I thought I was long forgotten. LOL Since DSs got out of school for the summer we've been busy and I do peek in once in a while, but I hadn't lately till tonight!

I'm glad people are still enjoying my web site, I know that when I plan a vacation I LOVE to see other people's pictures and hear their experiences. :D

Thanks again for posting your trip pics, yes in the summer I don't get on here as much as I would like either. I think I have convinced my friend to staying onsite rather than offsite for their first trip to wdw with your pics, she was so happy.

I read your report about the GF. I'm sorry your room was in rough shape like that. It really is a beautiful resort otherwise, as you know :D I'll be reading the board to see where your next stay will be! I know you've mentioned the YC, that appeals to me too, but my DSs really want to try the Polynesian so we'll see....lol

You know, I really had no problem with that room. It wasn't the best, but it wasn't horrible, either. The staff at the GF really made my stay the best ever, and I really have to commend them on it. :) We were talking about going back today! Sure hope we can make another trip! I'm not sure what type of room we'd book if we can squeeze in a trip, but I either want to stay in Boca Chica or Sugar Loaf!
