View Full Version : Fantasia Gardens Question...HELP!!

I have a question for anyone who's played a round at Fantasia Gardens:

What color golf balls are available??

Please help, I'm trying to firm up our schedule!! I've only got 31 days!

GEM

This bizarre. This is the second question about golf ball colors at FG on this page right now . . .

Anyway, they have pink, purple, green, red, blue, yellow, orange, and maybe a few others.

I am dying to know why on earth this could possibly matter . . .

wdwoldtimer
07-16-2002, 03:17 PM
LOL, thanks GEM!!

Ok, maybe it is bizarre, but no more bizarre than you actually knowing the colors!! LOL!

We're planning a high stakes mini-golf game and are choosing ball color now so as to avoid any arguments or discussion when we get there. Plan-aholics.

Ok, if I may ask a follow on question....which ball in your opinion was the better color? I'm partial to Yellow, but like I said, this is a high stakes game and I need every advantage I can get.

Thanks!!

GEM

How funny. Well, I do know the colors because DH and I are mini golf freaks and we have to play each course a couple of times on each trip - and we have been on lots of trips. I have to say, though, that I don't have a favorite color. I just grab one. If you are serious about your mini golf, make sure you play the Fantasia Fairways course. It's really hard, but lots of fun. It looks just like a real golf course, only miniatureized. It's got sand traps, hazzards, etc. Good luck with the game!

wdwoldtimer
07-16-2002, 03:27 PM
Yeah, we're mini-golfaholics too. We might try the Fantasia Fairways too...it depends on how much time we have. Oh, hey, about how long does a round at Fantasia Gardens take? It'll help us plan better.

Also, if you see a mysterious person named Miss Jasmine or DisneyJen asking similar questions, don't answer!! I need any advantage I can get!!

Miss Jasmine
07-16-2002, 03:33 PM
Too late, GEM already responded on my post.

I'm strategizing away. bwaahhaahhaaaaa

wdwoldtimer
07-16-2002, 03:36 PM
Sure you got a reply, but did GEM email you her analysis of ball color vs. ball performance? I've got all the stats, she sent me graphs, charts, surveys, the works!! You're going down!! You have no idea which color ball is best. I know!! I have the data to back it up!

GEM
07-16-2002, 03:46 PM
You guys are scary. ;)

It usually takes me and DH about 45 minutes to play one side of a course. But we tend to go when it's pretty empty. If you don't want to wait behind other people, I suggest playing later at night. We like to play around 9p.m. or so. It's cooler and less crowded.

I don't know if you are only doing Disney, but there are lots of other great mini golf courses in Orlando. We really love Pirates Cove and Congo River as well.

Definately try to play the Fairways Course. It's really hard, but lots of fun. The courses at Winter/Summerland are really cute and lots of fun, too. They are easier than the Fantasia Gardens courses, though.

My husband and I have a tournament on each trip. He won the last one. I think we played about 12 rounds on that trip at 6 different courses! I can't wait until our October trip so I can have my revenge!

DisneyJen
07-16-2002, 03:54 PM
Jas and OT need all the advantages they can get for this high stakes game as they are mere amatuers at the game of golf.

GEM are there any left handed putters available?

GEM
07-16-2002, 03:56 PM
I'm not sure. Neither of us is left handed, so we never checked.

By the way, if you play one round at a Disney course and then decide to play another round later on the same day, you can do it for half-price! Just keep your receipt from the first game.

wdwoldtimer
07-16-2002, 04:43 PM
LOL, amateur, eh? You don't really think they have left and right handed putters, do you? That won't help you! You don't stand a chance. Everyone knows the key to the mini-golf game is picking the right colored ball. Every course is different. A good color at one place may not be so good at another. Like I said, I'm on the inside track with a course pro. I know which color works best according to weather conditons, hole, weight of putter head... everything. You don't stand a chance.

Thanks again for the tips, GEM, maybe we'll go for two rounds..depends on the rest of the schedule.

Oh, do they provide Disney themed pencils for scoring and can you keep/steal one? Definitely don't tell Jas about the stealing part.

GEM
07-16-2002, 04:47 PM
Just regular old little bitty pencils. Sorry. Like I said, I don't kow about those left handed putters (or if there is such a thing) - but I do know they have little bitty short putters for tiny sized people, if you need one of those.

DisneyJen
07-16-2002, 07:45 PM
GEM thanks so much for the info on the putt putt courses at WDW:) I am sure that OT is creating a spreadsheet or matrix on the pros and cons of each of the colors which he will carry on his Pocket PC and further analyze after each and every stroke. I am of course convinced that the blue ball is perfect for OT.

Thanks for the tip on playing twice in one day ... I suspect that we will not settle this score during just one round... and a sudden death play off is not an option.

Miss Jasmine
07-17-2002, 08:46 AM
Did someone say steal??!!??!! Not on my watch.

Thank you for all of the information GEM.

And I am no amateur. I have logged many hours on miniature golf courses. Sure they were in my younger years, but I bet I still have more experience than you two older participants. On that note, GEM do you know if Fantasia Gardens is ADA compliant and wheelchair accessible?

DisneyJen
07-17-2002, 09:10 AM
Also does anyone know if they offer a senior discount? I don't need the electric wheel chair access ... OT needs that...

TIA!

wdwoldtimer
07-17-2002, 11:33 AM
I didn't say I was going to steal your watch, Jas!! I said I was going to OT-ify the scoring pencil if it was a nice one. Heck, I'll snag it even if it is a cheapo.

I don't need electric cart access, when you two lose by a 10 or 15 stroke margin, part of the deal is, you're going to carry me back to the resort.

Does anyone know if they have Bibles available at the check-in desk? Someone's gonna be needing to pray! Is there a fully stocked kitchen somewhere on the course. You never know when someone might want to whip up a 6 course gourmet meal while on vacation. I'm thinking we better call ahead for these special requests.

But most importantly, do they sell any special pins at the course?

mlcar
07-17-2002, 06:23 PM
Ok, let's settle this once and for all. The light pink golf balls are DEFINITELY the best, and when coupled with a lefty golfer, the combo is superior in every way.

Sorry OT. Good luck ladies, may the course be with you.

DisneyJen
07-17-2002, 06:47 PM
Mlcar ... thank you for the advice on the ball choice as well as the putter choice :earseek:

We all of course are a little concerned whether or not the putt putt course will be open in the event of a power outage like the one experienced today at EPCOT and surrounding resorts.

Is the course more challenging during the day or evening? We are trying to plan meals around our playoff putt putt:D

Well, now that i have entered the thread of the nearly insane.......

We really loved going to this course late at night. We were one of the last 'new' people allowed on for the day. It was definitely cooler and was a blast. My DS shot the best score for the day so he was elated.

We also played Pirates that is up near Bahama Breeze on ?Universal Drive? or up in that vicinity. I believe there is one closer right off the I slightly above disney. Seems like we saw it on the way back (of course). We like Pirates- have one with 5 courses in Wisconsin Dells. Have also played it in Branson & Rapid City SD.

Can you guys move your vacation up a little? We will be arriving Sunday nite and I would LOVE to see your competition.

DisneyJen
07-17-2002, 09:33 PM
Perhaps you would like to enter the competition ... This is high stakes putt putt ...

We are looking at playing after a late sushi dinner at the Swan ... tee off time if OT his had his way at 11:59 p.m. Jas and I are morning folks so we are aiming for the first tee off of the day:earseek:

Perhaps OT and I can have another round as we will be there longer than Jas ... who knows:smooth:

MickeyBabe
07-17-2002, 10:50 PM
OK Now....If you three can't play nicely together I'll have to split you up...

In an effort to get the best possible answer for all three of you ....I have consulted *Miss Cleo* (the psychic)....

According to the professional ;) ........

wdwoldtimer - You should use a Blue Ball, signifying the forceful power of moving waters. ;)

Miss Jasmine - You should use a Purple Ball, signifying the mystic forces of the unknown. ;)

DisneyJen - You should use a Pink Ball, signifying the reigning power of fire. ;)

I hope this dosn't cause any dissention in the ranks ... because you *all * are very important to us over in the Parks Game.

See yall back in the CC. :smooth:

wdwoldtimer

Good heavens, was that a STAR WARS quote by mlcar?!?!? Or was that Kimbo in disguise? Not so sure if the lefty putter advantage works when the player has two left feet and two left thumbs. The ladies better stick with the righty putters....no telling what kind of accident can occur. Pink balls CAN'T be the better ones cuz pink's a GIRLY color. And we all know golf is a MAN'S sport!! Sheesh.

Hi JGates...how's your brother, Bill? If you see him, tell him he owes me 10 bucks....darn deadbeat! Thanks for the info on the other courses...maybe we'll add them on the SGA Pro Tour. Just curious, where do you catch the Disney bus to Wisconsin Dells and Branson & Rapid City SD? Is that the red flag bus that you catch at the Transportation and Ticket Center? And sorry you can't make it to the big event, but ESPN is giving full coverage and there's going to be a special interview on ABC with Barbara Walters. Ok ok....she made me cry on national TV. She kept prodding me about the pin I lost, I just couldn't hold it in.

MickeyBabe, I think Miss Cleo has played too many mini-golf games with her crystal ball and cracked it. According to the scientific data given to me by GEM (and GEM is the world renowned course pro at Fantasia) Blue iis the WORST ball for men to use. I think you're siding with the ladies and trying to throw my game off!!

MickeyBabe

 Geez ...I was just trying to help... :(

DisneyJen
07-18-2002, 07:06 AM
Don't worry about OT MickeyBabe ... he is just getting very nervous about the Shantu Open which will be played at Fantasia next month.

Now that we have the ball and putter questions answered I was wondering if anyone can tell us about the course conditions ... how hard it the astro turf stuff? In order to get the proper lie I need to know if the greens are fast.:p

TIA!!

Miss Jasmine
07-18-2002, 07:13 AM
MickeyBabe, thank you for the sage advice. How did you know purple is my favorite color? :)

And OT is a little sensative about the color blue, don't mind him. :p

And I see Jen has already asked my question about course conditions. jgates mentioned being the last ones let on the course, do you remember what time that was??? Thanks! Jen is a morning person, OT is a night person, I'm in the middle, so I'm trying to plan the time just right. Thanks.

mlcar
07-18-2002, 07:40 AM
Miss Cleo already knew you were going to say that about her.

Yes, pink IS a girlie color, which adds greatly to its superiority. OT, you are correct. I'm am quite sure a man invented golf. What woman would make up a game to hit a teeny little WHITE ball with the skinniest stick you can find, AND add all the rules and regs about keeping your one arm straight and the other bent, head down, club open, follow through, blah, blah, blah. And the high score wins - go figure. Thank goodness women stepped in to introduce the colored balls and thos snazzy little shoes with the fringe on them. Beats kneepants any time.

mlcar
07-18-2002, 08:42 AM
by the way, what are the stakes in this game?

DisneyJen
07-18-2002, 09:34 AM
Sheeshidunno what the winner gets mlcar ... we have been so busy setting up the rules and trying to decide who gets what color ball that we have not gotten to that all important prize ... of course there is always the bragging rights:cool:

Miss Jasmine
07-18-2002, 09:42 AM
I was thinking that we should set up a poll and have people vote as to what the stakes are. Or have people give us their ideas. I don't know. What do you think Jen and OT? Anyone else?

DisneyJen
07-18-2002, 09:49 AM
Of course it will have to do with the parks ... what do folks suggest?

wdwoldtimer
07-18-2002, 09:49 AM
Nervous?? Who's nervous? I'm not nervous! I'm just a mean cranky old man who's going to teach these girls a lesson on the golf course.

Hmm...Miss Cleo knew I was going to say that, huh? So maybe she DOES have mystical powers. Blue, huh? How unusual. I'll have to check with GEM on this. you know, I just noticed MickeyBabe put one of these :( in her post. Looks like a blue ball, doesn't it? A subliminal message I think. There must be a secret plot to get me to use a blue ball. I think my opponents have hired Miss Cleo to put a spell on me. I'm not going near a blue ball now. I wonder if I can make a special request to have them all removed from the course?

You almost got the history of golf right, ml. Actually it was a woman who invented all that stuff. The only contribution men gave was cutting the grass, we're not that creative.

The stakes....hmm...what are the stakes anyway? All I know is that they are high.

Yes, I'd like to know the latest you can start a round too. Can you really go at 11:59PM??

DisneyJen
07-18-2002, 09:54 AM
OT I think you meant 11:59 PM not AM ... you hardly ever see that time of day

I am sure GEM will confirm this but you CAN golf one minute before NOON.

mlcar
07-18-2002, 10:03 AM
Miss Cleo knew you were going to make that sarcastic remark about casting a spell, so she already put one on you this a.m.

wdwoldtimer
07-18-2002, 10:06 AM
I think you're getting nervous, Jen. Seeing things....hallucinating. I see PM! But I don't have time for this, I'm under attack. I think I've upset Miss Cleo and she's conjured up an army of blue ball spirits to attack me.

:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

DisneyJen
07-18-2002, 10:13 AM
Cheating already OT ... and we haven't even teed off:( Everyone can see that you edited your post right after I pointed out the faux pas.

Are cheaters banned for life at Fantasia?

Miss Jasmine
07-18-2002, 10:19 AM
OT is cheating by changing his posts. I will now say a rosary for him and pray over his soul.

So really does anyone know how late we can tee off?

mlcar
07-18-2002, 10:30 AM
:( :( OT:( :(

First you angered Miss Cleo (as she knew you would) and now Jen & Jas, too.

I think you need to give them their choice of colored balls and you should play with the black one. This will show them you are truly sorry.

MickeyBabe
07-18-2002, 10:42 AM
So Miss Cleo has you on the run OT?? :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

11:59 PM? Don't you think that 01:17 would be more appropriate?
After all reversed it is '71:10 (year/month)? ;) I think there is something magical there!!!

How about playing for: Loser buys unlimited Margaritas at the San Angel Inn. :D :D :D :D

:smooth:

MickeyBabe
07-18-2002, 10:48 AM
No in all seriousness OT, you *are right* you should probably use the moss green ball....Yeah that's the ticket...the green ball :bounce: yeah...(doing her best Jon Lovitz Liar impression) ;) ;) ;)

:smooth:

wdwoldtimer
07-18-2002, 11:27 AM
Cheating? Moi? Why I've never done anything even remotely unethical in my life! Jas, you know that! I think you're confused again, Jen. I have a new signature, don't you know. Instead of listing all the hotels I've stayed at I put:

"Last edited by wdwoldtimer on 07-18-2002 at 11:02 AM"

at the bottom of every post, in tiny font. Me? Do something underhanded? What an outrage!

Now can someone do :( sometheing about all :( these #$&*@! :( :( :( :( blue balls!?!? :( :( And green balls aren't allowed on the course, they get lost on the playing green and people end up tripping over them and breaking bones. Disney doesn't want any more lawsuits.

Can't play for margaritas wither, cuz I don't drink them. And we all know I'm going to win, despite the fact that I have a team of females on here, plotting against me. (Don't make me call up my reserves, Higgsy, Dave and A-Dad) It's got to be something I can at least enjoy.

MickeyBabe
07-18-2002, 11:42 AM
:smooth: Don't worry OT... you won't be drinking them.... you'll be buying them! ;)

As a matter of fact, It's afternoon now, A nice refreashing Dole Whip-arita sounds pretty good! :D DJen, MissJ, here's one on me!! *Cheers*!!!

:smooth:

P.S. Here's a Pink Squirell for you OT!!! ;)

DisneyJen
07-18-2002, 01:09 PM
Thanks MickeyBabe ... we know the sun is always over the yard arm somewhere;)

Do they have black balls at Fantasia? I suspect they will create a blacklist once the Shantu Open in over:eek:

mlcar
07-18-2002, 06:21 PM
a yard arm? what is that?

wdwoldtimer
07-19-2002, 12:52 AM
I think a yard arm is part of a boat, you mount your boat navigation junk on it. You see Jen plays with toy ships in her jacuzzi.

What this has to do with golfing I don't know. But since we've been unceremoniously booted down to the Community Board for having *gasp* a little fun along with asking legitimate Park related questions, it's ok Jen talk in nautical terms.

In the spirit of the CB, I find everything said in this thread offensive. I find golf offensive. I find people asking whether they can photocopy their park passes without damaging the magnetic strip offensive. And I want to eat some WDW dirt.

Miss Jasmine
07-19-2002, 06:56 AM
Jen, I think the stress of the situation or the spirit of the blue balls or both are getting to OT. Myabe we should have the men in the white jackets meet us at the course. Or perhaps we can call Ms. Cleo up and she can reverse her spell.

Trying to get this back on course (ha-ha)...anyone have any other ideas of what we can play for.

P.S. OT, you better start getting to bed earlier if you are going to function on our hours. Last night was even a work night. Sheesh.

DisneyJen
07-19-2002, 08:12 AM
Jas I a agree that it looks as though OT is caving under the pressure of the Shantu Open combined with Miss Cleo :( :( :(

OT is correct on the yard arm answer ... and those of us who are sailors know that once the sun is over the yard arm it is permissible to consume Dole Whip-aritas.

Maybe the loser has to participate in a commando type tour of one of the parks ... winner's choice and winner's hours :D

madonna31
07-19-2002, 08:46 AM
I know what you can play for!!! One loser buys a round of Dole Whips and the second loser buys a round of Margaritas? And the winner - he/she has to buy squat!!!

As for left handed putters - I am as left-handed as you can get - and I also have a *magical piece* that you are all missing that will aid any one of you in this game. ( I read the thread and you stated that you need it)

Problem is - I will not play favourites ...so the first one of you three to send me a PM with their proper mailing address will receive this *magical piece* of equipment in the mail that you MUST bring to the order of Shantu for good luck!!! (it's a sure winner)

Ok - who's it gonna be???

DisneyJen
07-19-2002, 08:55 AM
Great idea Madonna! OT doesn't do margaritas and since he will lose Jas and I win:smooth:

Of course OT isn't awake yet so either Jas or I got to you first :D

Miss Jasmine
07-19-2002, 09:31 AM
I bet Jen has beat me, as she saw this way before me. Sheesh, I already lost the first round. Is that Ms. Cleo I hear??!!??!! :(

DisneyJen
07-19-2002, 09:42 AM
Jas you know me so well!!! This means you buy the first round ... Dole Whips ... OT has to buy the Margaritas:D

Madonna has already exchanged the details of the magical piece of equipment ... and no, it is not 71 feet long:smooth:

"2002"

Miss Jasmine

Ohhh I like that idea MickeyBabe, especially since I look so cute in Mickey ears.

And then maybe the loser can take the blue ball home with him/her to be followed around by the Spirit of the Blue Ball until the next competition. :( :( :( :( :(

DisneyJen

Great idea MBabe ... and OT can walk around with Mickey ears that say, in all caps, LOSER since Jas and I will tie for first place I am sure:p

Miss Jasmine
07-22-2002, 03:21 AM
lol, Jen. :) Wouldn't it be something if we all tied?? Then what?? Sudden Death playoff? Huh? Looks like we need to revisit the rules. rofl

I was over at WDW yesterday. If it wasn't for the rain, I was thinking of sneaking over and playing a round. However that would be cheating, and that would have been wrong. :p I mean neither of you ever break the rules.

Okay does anybody else have any ideas for the winner's prize?

Maybe we should put a link to this thread from the trivia thread. What do you think?

wdwoldtimer
07-22-2002, 05:06 PM
Good idea....you do it, Jas. I can't because we were kicked down here to the CB and it wouldn't be right to corrupt the people on the Planning Board with this useless drivel. And you know me, I always abide by the rules and behave ethically.

Ever since they cancelled Early Entry....you know, I just realized that life is so precious and it can turn around on a moment's notice. You never know when your whole trip schedule will get blown, with only 6 short months to plan a new one, WITHOUT EE....gasp. So I won't clog up the Parks board anymore with this - I might take away bandwidth from some desperate plea for help like, "Does anyone know how big the autograph books are at Disney? I am trying to plan for how much room we need to have for carrying items. " Or "Will the xray machines at the airport overexpose the film in my digital camera??" Or my all time favorite, "Can I eat the dirt in WDW?" :p

madonna31
07-23-2002, 07:19 AM
rotflmao - and I thought it was just me who thought like that OT...my favourite is still "Does anyone know if it's safe to drink the water in It's a Small World...."lol....

Miss Jasmine
07-23-2002, 08:05 AM
OT, you never fail to crack me up. roflmbo. I just got my new annual passes. Do you think I should photocopy them just in case I am stupid enough to lose them or they disintegrate after being exposed to water on Kali River Rapids? :p

How about the loser has to eat dirt???? lol

Okay I will post the link to this thread on the trivia thread. I hope I don't get into any trouble. After all, I am the good one. :)

So sorry I didn't join this thread in its infancy!
Too bad I'll be at WDW right after you fine golfers, 'cause I would loooove to do color commentary for this tourney. :( :( :(
While I cannot comment on ball color or other equipment questions, I can give pointers on stylish swinging poses. ;)
By the way, do you think I should a family-sized cooler of food for snacks/lunches, or will I have trouble getting it through security?;) ;) ;) ;) ;) Should I photocopy the cooler in case I get it wet? Can I tether it to a stroller? ;) ;) ;) ;)

We'll let Miss Cleo tell us who the good one is Jas ... define "good."

So if the loser eats dirt does the winner get to squirt the loser with a bottle of 1971 Seven Seas Lagoon making sure to get the Mickey ears that say "Loser?"

mlcar
07-23-2002, 06:56 PM
OT, you seemed a tad stressed in your last post.

Just pregame jitters, or are you just coming completely unglued?

edit: The sun must be over the yard arm somewhere in the world - perhaps a little belt would help.

MickeyBabe

:DJen, I love you compilation of all these great Ideas..... may I add that the loser has to wear a Pink Tutu ( ala the hippo scene in Fantasia) too..... ;)

DisneyJen
07-24-2002, 11:45 AM
What an excellent suggestion MBabe:D OT will look just divine in pink tutu with his pink speedo and gold chain and of course Mickey ears.

I wonder if there is a dress code at Fantasia:p

MickeyBabe
07-24-2002, 03:38 PM
Alrighty then Jen.... Let's see if we can get mclar to fit OT for that Tutu ....oh, oh, oh...we could probably sell tickets for the fitting alone!!!! :jester:

mlcar

Oh, I think the sun will have to be WAAAAAAAAAAY over the yard arm before OT wears a tutu.

DisneyJen

But think of the money we could make ... yeah ... that's the ticket ... this is a charity tournament:p

Miss Jasmine
07-25-2002, 09:10 AM
I LOVE the idea of a charity tournament... Have fun while helping others.

Ummm now we need to find a pink tutu.

DisneyJen
07-25-2002, 09:16 AM
And we need a charity cause as well ... and no, funding OT's trip to WDW or more DVS points do not count as charity.

Miss Jasmine
07-25-2002, 09:21 AM
What about DVC points for me??!!??!! :o :p

Hmmm ... we can't use this as a tax write off if any of us receives anything of value greater than what we pay to play golf ... So Jas I am going to have to say no:(

Maybe MBabe or Mlcar or Granny can come up with some ideas:cool:

Miss Jasmine
07-25-2002, 09:32 AM
Jen, you run a tight ship.

;) :p

MickeyBabe
07-25-2002, 10:52 AM
:sunny: Well you could benefit the WDWWDS..... after all if my application for the position of VP of Technical Information/Professor of CM Schmoozing is accepted..... My first order of business is to look into the aquisition of space in the Castle Missel Silos for our WDWW cellar....and we may need funding for that.;)

:smooth:

DisneyJen
07-25-2002, 10:57 AM
MBabe yet another excellent idea ...

We can set up a 501c3 non-profit foundation for WDWWDS and have the tourney proceeds benefit the foundation:earseek:

now we need a corporate sponsor to underright the whole thing ... including Jas' DVC points;)

MickeyBabe
07-25-2002, 11:12 AM
It may be a good idea to buy stock in Pink Tutus!!!:Pinkbounc

Hello *Three to Tango* for mini golf...

I just wanted to let you know that the *secret weapon* has been sent out to DisJen and she will do with it whatever she wants...*read in madonna's best sinister laugh* ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha....

Miss Jasmine
07-29-2002, 08:52 AM
I'm scared now. :(

:p :p :p

DisneyJen
07-29-2002, 09:45 AM
Laughing sinisterly ... Thanks to Madonna I will have the *MAGICAL* power to win ... be very very afraid OT and Jas:p

MickeyBabe
07-29-2002, 01:16 PM
OT, Jen and Jasmine...... I have WDWWDS business related questions....

Does Fantasia Gardens have any (tasty) water hazards?

If so, do you have enough bottles to accomodate collection of samples?

Do you need a refresher course in Cast Member Schmoozing?

:smooth:

wdwoldtimer
07-29-2002, 02:51 PM
Jas, shall we form an alliance to battle this top secret weapon?

DisneyJen
07-29-2002, 03:20 PM
Not only do I have the *MAGICAL* waters from WDWWDS to help me ... I have the power of special tool ... Code named *71*

And we all know ... Jas loves us equally, but differently:earseek:

Magickndm
07-29-2002, 03:20 PM
You guys are having waaay too much fun...I want in!
I know...I can be the official score keeper! And I'll do the golf claps for you all.

wdwoldtimer
07-29-2002, 05:10 PM
You do know, MK, that this is strip-mini golf? The losers of each hole have to remove an article of clothing, except for the official score keeper, who has to take something off at EVERY hole. Don't ask me, dem's da rules...I didn't make them.

Just wanted to let you know ahead of time, in case you weren't comfortable with that. Plus I'm thinking that by the time we reach the 9th hole, you'll certainly be walking around BAREFOOT! I know how some people are shy about exposing their feet in public.

mlcar
07-29-2002, 06:44 PM
MK - what are golf claps?

Also, about the secret weapon? Legal or not legal. I don't think even Ms. Cleo has a secret weapon. I think you can get voted off the golf course for having a secret weapon. So better keep it concealed. Concealed weapons are not only acceptable, they are encouraged.

Magickndm
07-30-2002, 09:15 AM
Hmmm OT, no, I did not realize it was strip mini golf. Guess I'd better get my feet in shape now. Anyone have a loofa sponge?

A golf clap is the nice, polite, quiet kind that's loud enough to show encouragement without being so loud that it breaks the golfers concentration. It's quite difficult to master.

DisneyJen
07-30-2002, 09:19 AM
Mlcar, the secret weapon is something that Madonna has invented ... If i told you what it was I would have to slap you silly:rolleyes: Trust me ... it will be well concealed:earseek:

MickeyBabe
07-31-2002, 12:41 PM
Speaking of secret weapons..... Have you seen "Bull Durham"... in that movie Nuke (Tim Robbins character) dons womens under garments under his uniform to improve his concentration.... so... if OT seems to be (ahehem...) making adjustments.... he may be wearing a "Secret Weapon"(more than likely black and lacey).... Now isn't it the job of the "Official" score keeper (MK that'd be you) to frisk the players for hidden contraband???

DisneyJen
07-31-2002, 12:48 PM
MBabe you must have very good sources to have learned about OT's secret weapon. Although the color is right the rest of it isn't ... it's really a black leather thong:smooth:

Miss Jasmine
07-31-2002, 12:50 PM
I thought I was the one with the black leather thong. When did OT get it?

DisneyJen
07-31-2002, 12:51 PM
Jas remember you lost it to OT the last time we had a competition ... the sake and sushi event?

wdwoldtimer
07-31-2002, 12:52 PM
I think MickeyBabe deserves a promotion and one of those hefty WDWWDS bonuses.

I'm wondering if Jen's secret weapon requires batteries??

Jas, I took the liberty of using your black leather thong....I'll wash it before returning it, don't worry.

Miss Jasmine
07-31-2002, 12:53 PM
Yeah and she calls it her "pager"
OT, just as long as its clean.

DisneyJen
07-31-2002, 12:54 PM
No OT ... Madonna can confirm that no energy source is needed ... that's the real MAGIC:p

wdwoldtimer
07-31-2002, 12:56 PM
No wonder Jen's always getting paged! And here I thought it was because she's a WDWWDS exec.

Magickndm
07-31-2002, 12:56 PM
Whoooo Hooo!!! I get to frisk OT!!!!

madonna31
07-31-2002, 12:57 PM
Jen's right - no energy source needed (REAL women don't need batteries...humm..but that's a whole other thread)

But yes - Jen can keep it concealed.

Funny thing - I was under the impression that OT's thong was red with black Mickey Mouse heads all over it...?

DisneyJen
07-31-2002, 12:59 PM
Madonna you are right that OT's thong is red with black Mickey Mouse heads but he is wearing Jas' since he lost the sake eating and sushi drinking contest.

Miss Jasmine
07-31-2002, 01:00 PM
Yes MK, you are one lucky woman.

wdwoldtimer
07-31-2002, 01:00 PM
What are you kidding?? I'm wearing her thong because I WON the competition!!!

Miss Jasmine
07-31-2002, 01:02 PM
I think OT did win, if I remember correctly, but then again that was a lot of sushi and a whole lot of saki.

MickeyBabe
07-31-2002, 01:04 PM
Has anyone checked OT's closet for Mickey's "Shorts"? ;)

Thanks for the raise "Boss" ;)

DisneyJen
07-31-2002, 01:04 PM
You both are wrong OT and Jas... the losers had to swap underwear and march around Cresent Lake singing "Hail to the Chief ... She's the one that we say hail to ..."

wdwoldtimer
07-31-2002, 01:05 PM
Ok I'm thinking....

It seems this official scorekeeper job is pretty popular. Mk, how're you at wrestling in vegetable oil? I'm thinking a little competition before the competition is in order. Just be careful if Jas tries out for the job...she's REALLY good. It took every bit of my skill to win that leather thong, let me tell you!!

As for frisking....why do you think I hired her as VP of Security!??

Miss Jasmine
07-31-2002, 01:06 PM
So that's why I have that pair of mickey mouse boxers. Thanks Jen, its all coming back to me now.

Except I remember being very oily. hmmm

Magickndm
07-31-2002, 01:10 PM
Pretty popular, huh? Seems like I'm the only one who volunteered...but hey...I said I wanted in on the fun. There just may be an oil wrestling monster in me waiting to get out!

Miss Jasmine
07-31-2002, 01:12 PM
Sorry MK I only oil wrestle with OT, it helps us pass time as I am protecting him in Cinderella's Castle.

Magickndm
07-31-2002, 01:12 PM
Well, if you'd rather have Miss J frisk you, it's ok with me.

On second thought...maybe I should just be a spectator in this event.

mlcar
07-31-2002, 07:51 PM
just to be clear . . . are we still talking about mini-golf?

wdwoldtimer
07-31-2002, 11:19 PM
Gee, MK sure gave up easily. I guess she just doesn't want the job that much.

mlcar, of COURSE we're still talking about mini-golf!! This is a family discussion forum! We've already been booted off the Parks board, dunno if there's anywhere else we could get exiled to. By the way, how are you at oil wrestling?

Magickndm

OT is definitely worth fighting for:earseek: Especially when he wears that pink Speedo and the gold chain:p Actually I am thinking that is what he needs to wear on the golf course.

Magickndm
08-01-2002, 09:43 AM
Well now that I know he has a pink speedo that makes things different! :Pinkbounc

Of course I'm finding out for you!! What is oil wrestling if you're not participating??! Why else would I bring it up in the first place?

Now now, wearing one of my speedos kind of eliminates the need for frisking, doesn't it? The frisking could turn out to be the best part of the competition!! No pink speedo for me unless it worn as an undergarment.

DisneyJen

Actually OT is going to wear both since this is strip mini-golf and we all know about his lack of depth in terms of his strokes:rolleyes: He will really be limited in terms of club selection ... he can only use his putter ... not to be confused with his 'puter.

Jsut a quick update until all the players return from WDW.

OT won, he beat Jen by two strokes, and I was behind another 7 strokes. And if you can believe it, he used a blue ball. :( :( :( :(

I am missing my dear friends right now. A great time was had by all.

DisneyJen
08-19-2002, 07:06 PM
I am safely home ... with photographic evidence that I will post later this week ... I have to do laundry and get caught up with work ... I promise a report ... maybe tomorrow.

And I am missing Jas and OT as well!

I had a pink ball, Jas had a purple ball and yes ... OT won with a blue ball:jester:

Time for dinner!

wdwoldtimer

Don't let the score fool you!! I literally crushed my lesser opponents. I started feeling so bad towards the end of the course, when I think I was leading by a dozen strokes or more, I let up and tried to play down at their level. I think I might receive an Oscar nomination for the way I acted like I was still trying.

Trust me when I say it would have brought tears to the eyes to those who were lucky enough to see me in all my mini-golfing glory. And I must say it had to have been extremely comforting to my less adept competition, to experience the humble way in which I carried myself during the game. You would NEVER have known that I started off leading on the first hole and never looked back. Through it all I was supportive and encouraging, even offering tips on the best way to play the hole.

Yes, as Miss Cleo knew all along, playing golf with blue balls can help, but only when the balls are being batted around with a good putter, wielded by a skilled player. Alas, the secret weapons smuggled in from Canada did NOTHING to help them beat the superior player. You need more powerful mojo to beat one of the world's best mini-golf players, Madonna. Not even the annoying kid named Benjamin, nor the extreme heat could throw me off.

And don't you worry MrsA, no one was thrown off the course. We did all the dirty stuff in the misty cave, out of sight of the CM's. It's a shame I lost my boxers somewhere in there...they were my favorite pair too!! We don't have any pics of what went on in the cave, however. There was no one with a free hand to hold the camera.

Will there be a rematch? Oh I certainly hope so!! I'd like to start planning it right now. I'm sure the next time will be even more fun. Perhaps we can try Winter Summerland, who knows? Maybe even tour the country, visiting different courses.

The strange thing is...I don't recall what we decided the prize would be. And whatever it is, I don't think I've had it bestowed on me yet. Just in case, I'm stopping off at the grocery store for a big can of olive oil.

I can't wait to start planning for the next meet!

Well I see that your mini putting powers are beyond even the force of the Disencils...hummmmmm shall I start creating new secret weapons for the ladies for the next match....humm????

Not even the annoying kid named Benjamin...could throw me off.

Oh - do tell...

mlcar
08-21-2002, 08:14 PM
And what, exactly, what this failed secret weapon?

If I recall, lifelong bragging rights were part of the winner's package. It appears you've jumped on that one already!

And what is the force of the Disencils, Madonna?

. . . there's so much more we need to know

Miss Jasmine
08-21-2002, 08:15 PM
omg, OT you remembered the kid's name? I was just trying to stay out of his way. rofl.

And don't listen to OT as humble as he may be trying to sound, he was acting like a brat the whole time.

(Pssst..I'm sitting here with OT's boxers on my head. Who is the real winner?)

And thank you to Madonna for my most treasured disencil. I love it!!!!! May not have helped me win, but its great!!!!!!
