Can you tell me what the "norm" is for tipping for your massage at the spa? DH and I are both having a 50 minute Swedish massage and I don't know how much to tip.

THANKS!!

I tend to use the same process for spa treatments as for haircuts.
I base the tip off of the price for the service instead of the length of service.

How do others do this?

I read that tips for spa treatments are generally 15%. I read this in the tipping guidelines section of the WDW for Couples book.

I believe 15-20% of your total bill is what is expected.

I'm actually not sure (I've never been to a spa), but I'm guessing it would be between 15 and 20%. I know my dad just went last week for a massage at the Grand Floridian Spa and Health Club, and he gave a $10 tip on a $55 treatment. I guess that is almost 20%.

When I go to the spa in my hometown, I always tip 15%-20%. That's the "going rate" for good-excellent service here in Atlanta. Hope that helps! :D
