What a terrible day this has been. I posted awhile back that "I had a secret" and that secret was that i was excited because I was going to WDW and had been talking to someone online I was planning on meeting there. Well, it is now a no go. He is having some problems he needs to deal with and can't go. Now, here is where I feel really stupid. I have him on my reservation. It was so inexpensive to put him on so that he could get the free dining that I did it. Now I have an extra 1 day 1 park ticket, free dining and 2 extra MVMCP tickets. I will call tomorrow to see if I can get credit for any of it, but I arrive at WDW this Sunday so I am doubting it.
I keep telling myself, "You are going to Disney, smile." However, I was really looking forward to meeting him. We have been talking for about 4 months. Maybe a little less, but not much. I know I will still enjoy myself (who doesn't at WDW?). However, all the plans made include him. I was really looking forward to that aspect of the trip. I am so confused. I am sad, but I am going to WDW. It is making my head spin.
So.... anyone want to go?
Or, anyone live in the Orlando area that would like to meet for a meal?

I got my annual pass exchange card in the mail the other day, and it's been a crappy week since. I've honestly thought about jumping on a plane and just going for a few nights. If it wasn't so busy at the hotel next week, I probably would. Sorry to hear about the issues, and I hope you find someone to take the extra tickets, etc.

The ticket is good until used, so you can always save it for later :)

The MVMCP ticket you might be able to get refunded if you call the reservation center. They *might* be able to modify your will-call reservation. Ditto on the dining (although if it's free dinign that's no big deal).

I'd love to come down!!!! Too bad I have a stinkin' child who needs caring for or something else absurd like that! I know a guy down there who is pretty nice who may be able to keep you company. He has a season pass and goes often anyways!

What is sad is that all the meals are for two. I am sure it won't matter when I show up by myself. I have ressies at 9 Dragons, Marrakesh, Le Cellier, 50's Prime Time and the Plaza. I had one at California Grill but canceled it. Just wouldn't have been the same by myself.
I am also just going to try to sell the MVMCP ticket. Here's the funny part. I have changed banks since I bought those and they will only reimburse back to the original debit card- which no longer exists. I know the old bank would have to give me my money if I did that, but I do not want to take the chance. If all else fails, I will be giving them away. I just feel dumb for having bought them. Oh well, lesson learned.

The one day ticket wont expire until used and if you cannot get Disney to refund the MVMCP tickets, I encourage you to contact Give Kids the World Village (www.gktw.org) and donate the unneeded tickets to them, they can give them to a wish family staying there.

I hope that you are able to have a good time despite the upset to your plans

Hi there. I'm so sorry things don't work out, but you are going to Disney! I moved to the Disney area about four months ago and am always looking to meet new people.
