If there's no flight/weather delays, we plan to be there. Our flight is supposed to arrive at 1:15pm, then we'll take ME to Kidani.

We may well be at our first Merry Mixer before we've stepped foot in a DVC room. :rotfl:

We're hoping to make it on the 3rd - me, DH, DD, her DFiance and his parents. We will also be meeting 3 other family members in Epcot that afternoon - does anyone know if there is a limit as to how many people you can bring to the party? We'd love to go, but don't want to leave our family to do it - they have a little guy who would love it - don't want to mention it to them if we would get turned away. That would be 2 DVC members and 7 guests.:confused3 Not staying long - we have ADRs at Le Cellier.:thumbsup2
Maybe I'll call MS or my guide to be sure.

Unfortunately not us. :sad2: I took a guess that they might do it on Mondays, and missed. We'll get in on the fourth. Maybe next time.

We are going to MVMCP that night, and I want to make sure DD4 is rested for it, so it will have to depend on her nap, but it is on our schedule, so we hope to join you all there!

We (DBF) and I will be there for our first Merry Mixer. We arrive at around noon on the 3rd and will check into SSR, have a quick lunch at DTD and then on to the Merry Mixer. After that it's DHS and dinner at the Brown Derby. We're maximizing our long weekend trip. Look forward to meeting some folks.

Hi,

We will be at the Merry Mixer too. We are traveling with my cousins and MS said we can bring them with us. They are trying to decide if they should become DVC members , so this may help. I have a question though, we booked the candlelight processional package for that night( I booked before I knew about the Mery Mixer) and our reservation at Le Cellier is for 3:45pm. I already called and the time can't be changed. My question is this , when we have gone to other member gatherings, when we leave, (we always stay the whole time), they give out a special gift. If we leave early, like 3:35 pm, will we still get our special gift? I asked MS and they said they don't know. I know this may seem like a stupid question but my kids always like the gifts. Thanks for any information you can give me.

Norm1
11-12-2009, 10:58 AM
Yes, I believe you will. I left early once and received the gift. The times we went it was an ornament. Maybe this year it will be an ornament shaped like a bell. You don't want to miss your meal in Canada. It's almost imposibile to get reservations unless you book the Candlelight Processional. Enjoy.

We are in the same boat; Biergarten @ 4:15 PM on the 3rd (IIRC). So we'll have to leave early and I HOPE HOPE HOPE I can still get my gift! I might beg and point out I have an ADR for CP package so hope it helps. Best of luck for us all! :wizard:

I thought the Mixer was more of a casual "come and go as you please" sort of thing, not a formal two hour presentation.

I thought it was generally held on Fridays so I booked reservations at Coral Reef on Friday. Now we also have to leave early because we have 5:40 reservations at Kona Cafe-GREAT DESSERTS. Hopefully we will get our "gift". See you there.

I have attended two diff mixers and that is how they were run - very casual come and go - drinks and cookies - mingling - character meet and greet. There was a large basket give-away that it was announced you didn't have to be there at the end to win - they would deliver it to your room for you. We weren't there last year so I don't know if anything has changed.

Thanks for the responses. It is the candlelight processional package we are booked for at 3:45 at Le Cellier so we don't want to miss it. I hope to see everyone there!

We too hope to be there - and it will be our first Merry Mixer as well. Although it does depend on that days nap for our two year old and the other members of our traveling party who probably will not come. Oh and like many of you we too are going to MVMCP that night.

We are hoping to make our 1st Merry Mixer!!! We have Lunch ADR in France at 2 with the 5pm CP package. I am really hoping to see CP earlier in the week (by Tuesday) as standby. I only made the ADR since DH stated that the CP was a MUST see for him and he did not want to take the chance that we wouldnt get to see it on standby.

Since this is such a busy time for Disney and DVC it would be nice if they would announce the dates earlier so you wouldn't have to guess which nite you need to be there when you book at 11 months out. (especially if you can't wrangle a full week)

According to dvcmember.com, the only Welcome Home Wednesday dates canceled are Dec 9 (annual meeting) and Dec 31 (NYE).

hey everyone, I'm desperately want someone to pick up the new NON LIMITED EDITION (open edition) DVC booster pin set and 2010 DVC pin from Merry Mixer party. I know the Offical Disney pin trade site says they will be available at more locations after Christmas, but I so so so so want them now. Can someone be kind enough to pick them up for me? Please!!! :worship: :worship:
