We'll be at VWL for Christmas and plan to ship down some goodies and snacks. But I was wondering if you could ship down liquor? Or can I order it and have it delivered to the resort?

Check out this link: http://www.house.gov/judiciary/4211.htm
As I live in NJ but am part of the Philadelphia metro area, it is even illegal to buy alcohol in one state and transport it back into another one. I would not risk mailing as you probably bring federal issues into play, especially if a bottle breaks. There's even problems with buying wines over the internet and having them shipped in certain states.
If you are renting a car, stop at a liquor store on the way to WDW. If using Tiffany Towncar, they will make a grocery stop for you on the way. You may also want to contact a couple of liquor stores near WDW to see if they will deliver. That may be the best route to take.

I have packed a bottle of liquor (in bubble wrap) with my luggage. Instead of shipping, we commonly bring a smaller, (over-nighter) extra suitcase full of goodies like nuts, coffee, filters, pringles, lemonade mix, breakfast bars, p-butter, jelly, etc. The bag always ends up full of souvenirs for the trip home. Due to todays security requirements, I would pack this bag carefully and check it.

I checked at my Post Office, and it is ilegal to ship alcohol thru the US Postal Service. You may want to check UPS, as it may be differant.
