Hi Guys,

We booked DLP for my 30th Birthday in March and have since found out I'm pregnant. I thought this might be a possibility but didn't realise I was pregnant at the time of booking.

So when we go to DLP I could be about 32 weeks gone. We are going by Eurostar so getting there isn't an issue.

I just wanted to know if anyone else had visited whilst pregnant and if you have any advise please feel free to share it.

Some people think we are mad for not thinking about canceling the trip but my DH has never been on the eurostar or to Paris and really wants to go.

Are we mad?

Congratulations!

I'm not very well-equipped to advise you as I've never been pregnant, so I hope someone will be along soon to help. All I can say is that I'm aware of many pregnant DISers who have coped just fine in the sweltering heat of WDW, so I think you'll be ok in DLRP as long as you take it easy. :goodvibes

P.S. I loved your wedding report, your photos are fantastic!

Congratulations!

I was 32 weeks pregnant with my fourth daughter on our last visit to DLRP - I had a great time. No thrill rides, but still managed to get my enormous bump on Peter Pan, Small World, Snow White, Pinocchio, Casey Jr. and Buzz!

It was more tiring than usual, but TBH this was a great excuse to take things a bit easier and have regular breaks for a sit down and some cake! Don't forget to take your EU health card and your hand held notes, just in case. It can be a nightmare getting travel insurance when you're pregnant, but at least you know that you're only a couple of hours from home.

Have a lovely time and don't forget to treat yourself to some cute baby things from the disney stores!

Congratulations, we are currently expecting our 3rd and I think I will be about 5 months pregnant when we are at Disney.

I travelled to New Zealand at 29 weeks with my first and managed quite well on two flights totalling 23 hours so a 2.5 hour trip on the Eurostar will be fine.

I will say this however, with you being a first time Mum (taking liberties but this is a general thing about many first time Mums) you will probably be sticking to the "food rules" which can be a bit of a mine field. Me being 3rd time round had a prawn sandwich for lunch today and a medium rare steak for tea the other night, first time round wouldn't have gone anywhere near that.

I realise there will be some rides I can't do which is a bit of a disapointment but my boys are also quite small so they can't ride them anyway. But it just gives me an excuse to go back again sometime in the future.

Congratulations again.

and my best piece of advice, no matter who tells you, disposable knickers are never a good idea, splash out, buy yourslef a packet of size bigger than you normally wear of the big knickers at M&S costs about £6.00 and way way way better than those other things.

Hello, I went to DLRP when I was about 30 weeks pregnant with my second child. That was several years ago now, but we had a great time!! It was our first trip there (or to Paris) so we not only did a lot at the park, but we also did a lot of sightseeing in Paris, too. It was all so much fun, I will never forget it!! Like some others posted, I was able to do a lot of the slower rides that are a lot of fun like Small World and Dumbo. But, I would highly recommend avoiding Pirates of the Caribbean. I did that one and I felt like my stomache was going to stay in the boat. It was a horrible feeling!! When we went, they were pretty lenient with what rides they would let you ride. I'm not sure if they still are or not. But, I would definitely limit it to nothing with big drops. Have a great time!!!

Thanks for all the great advise and congratulations you have made me feel better about our trip.

We have got to look into insurance I will get my DH to do that at the weekend and I will make sure I get the card form the post office.

With regard to the food Zeebs I'm trying to follow the rules but not doing that well at the moment my body is telling me what it wants and dosn't want so I'm going with that, within reason.

I'm glad I will be able to go on some of the rides but two days of 'Its a small world' might be a bit to much lol.

fmimom - I'm glad you found that you could do some sightseeing my DH wants to go into Paris and I was worried that we might not be able to do that. I do know that they have those sightseeing busses I was hoping I could get a good seat on one of those for a couple of hours.

disney_princess_85 - Thanks for the compliments on our wedding photos, we had over 3500 in total!

Hi, I went a couple of years ago when I was 28 weeks and it was fine, although the pace was significantly slower than usual!!! The only thing I would recommend is a bump support band: mine was a godsend and I'm sure my bump would have felt very heavy and uncomfortable by the end of the day without it. Guess it depends how big you are though and how well your back is coping with the big tummy!
I had a lovely time and wouldn't hesitate to do the same again.
