OT: Does anyone know how to catch a chicken?

My neighbor kids just got a couple of chickens today. One of the hens escaped--so...we need to get the chicken before it crosses the road.

*We have no chicken feed for them.

Update: I think the kids got the hen. It was under our porch for a little while before running to another neighbor's porch.

Just keep in mind that chickens are dumb animals.

Really dumb.

As in "if a rock had feet it would be a chicken" dumb. For the most part, they just need to be protected from themselves.

just in case it happens again. Crumple bread into crumbs. Fruits or veggies they love it all. Actually as dumb as people think they are mine are smart enough to have never gone into the road. They run free all around the yard. When I go outside to feed them I call "here chickie chickie" and they all come running. Dumb I know but it works.
