Working today. Woke up with a sore throat and stuffy nose. I snored my brains out last night, I think :laughing: My poor DH.

PrincessM is off to school. She has a chorus concert tonight at 6:30. Should be interesting ;) I *think* we've finally picked out her new room redo. Yipes, there goes Christmas - ah well, I'm happy to pay more to not have skulls. :thumbsup2

I know I have a ton of stuff to do, but I really can't think of what it is now...

Hi everyone! Good luck getting the posting issues fixed... I hope it's something easily taken care of!

Up
Homework for today - I have to write a "detailed outline," and I never write outlines, so I am not entirely sure of how to approach this...
Breakfast
Head to school
Drop off receipts for seminar reimbursement
Meeting with Professor to go over paper and extra work I have to do as an Honors student (this is the guy I don't like too, so this will be extra painful)
Class with same professor
Go to Bath & Body Works and drop off schedule - I may be working for the holiday season? But school comes first if they want more hours from me.

up late here too and my extra sleep didn't help. woke with a headache now that's calmed down but I'm all stuffy. Go figure???? It seems swine has hit close to both boys, L 2 weeks ago and E just monday........ kids they have classes with E all day and L 2-3 times a day but nothing yet.

call back about other job for interview might as well have a back up plan
try to get something down around this house I've got lists and it's not helping so it's what ever I get done gets done.

It's not even 8 AM and I am awake. There is something wrong with this picture. Hopefully, this will be the last day of painting! :banana: I am officially over it. :rotfl:

We had picked out a color for DH's LEGO room, but when I put the tester on the wall yesterday, he didn't like it. So we went out last night to try and find another color. Put that one on the wall, and he liked it. But it means my list today starts out with

Home Depot for paint
First coat
Tape off for accent wall
Second coat
Accent wall
Find oven and counters in kitchen so I can make meals instead of take out.
Remove painter's tape

I don't really care how long the painting takes today, I want it finished.

So, I went to sephora for some mascara today...and came home with alot more than just that mascara... I :lovestruc that store!!

Oh, and I was teased at work about all the vits. I can't take them when I first get up :crazy2: so I took them in work for my break... But if it keeps me from getting sick, whose gonna be laughing then :laughing:

PBF- I tried to get my DH to take dancing classes with me... he tells me he "doesn't have the time". I think it's manspeak for... "Nope"

It wasn't hard to talk mine into it - you see, he is so much more skilled and smooth than I am on the dance floor. (I'm a former ice hockey player - that pretty much says it all about my lack of graceful dancing abilities!) And, thanks to his mom, he did take ballroom dance classes for a very little while when he was a kid.

So, I think it was a mixture of self-preservation (I usually step all over his toes!) and "I'm better at this than she is!" on his part! But, I'm determined to learn and look good on the dance floor on our 25th anniversary DCL cruise next year!!! (And dance well at the weddings of my children someday!)

I'm so excited! Just a few minutes ago, I booked our airfare for this 2010 trip - although it is still 10 months off! The booking window just opened and I got great fares and finally feel like the trip is becoming more of a reality.

Isn't the best feeling booking and knowing you are going! I got my vaca approved for next Oct Food and Wine... going to be talking to DH about it this weekend, Where to book, 11 months out at Boardwalk, or 9 months out at Beach Club...hmmmm :confused3

And he keeps talking about another cruise. Can't go till 2011 though, both kids in college, both over 18. DCL just the 2 of us :woohoo: The kids are already getting mad about it :laughing: I'd love to book Disney Dream...looks so cool! And we have been on the Magic and the Wonder. I'll have to see if I can make it happen...

Today was a total bust. School duty in the second grade in the morning and I was supposed to just help during lunch at the book fair. I finally got out of there at 2:30. Just enough time to chow down some late lunch before Eldest got off the bus.

Used the left over plain rice from yesterday to make rice, salsa, cheese and fried eggs. It's really good once you mix it all up. :thumbsup2

Just veg rest of the night to get rid of headache.

We booked our hotel/cruise/cabin in May of this year and have been checking weekly(?) online with the airline to see when the window would open up for us. It must have just in the past few days! :woohoo: Up to now, everything was totally refundable - now I *really* feel committed to the trip, as the airfare isn't!

I have DS17's yearbook to do too. His friend that we have carpooled with, and he has known since kindergarten are going to share a page, her mom and I talked. We are going to do a pic from way back, them holding hands at 5yrs, a recent pic of them together now, and one of each of them now. 1 page split in half... makes me want to :sad1: I just can't believe how they have grown!

For the vinyl, what if you use the smallest hole punch you have to pre-hole them for sewing?

We did that when we made those sitting pads in girl scouts out of the flannel backed vinyl table clothes.

Painting in the LEGO room is done. Thank goodness! The texture and the dark color made it take forever to get good coverage. I did the first coat of the accent wall separating the family room from the LEGO room. I can do the second coat at 10PM and I don't care how late it is, it is getting done! It isn't that big of a wall, though, so I should be done by 10:30.

Right, that's how I feel, once I buy airline tickets, we are GOING! Our trip is 10/30, so I guess I have a few weeks. That'll give us time to decide if we are going to go down a day early or not.

I was gonna glue but this is for a small kid and I wouldnt want the rice and tiny toys falling out if the glue loosed. Im thinking of hand sewing ICK (or hiring mom to finish them (with my beuatiful machine of course since she gave me her old one and I brokeed it)
