Any DVC members out there have a Disney Wedding? If so, any advice, ideas, tips, suggestions?

I'm thinking about a May 2002 wedding at Disney World. Anyone here have a Disney wedding? I've heard that there has in the past been discounts available to DVC members. Anyone used that?

Any suggestions on photographers, florists, officiants, ANYTHING??

I always know that I can get great information from fellow club members on this board.

My hubby and I were married at WDW on May 8th, 1998. We joined the DVC in February of 99, but I'm not aware of any discounts available to DVCers for a Disney wedding.

I can tell you that our wedding was *awesome* in every way imagineable!! We had about 42 guests come down for the event. We were wed at the Y&B gazebo, had our cocktail party on the WS at the French Arm during Illuminations and our reception over in Italy after the park closed. It was just an amazing day in every way.

We used Tim Herring as our officiant and he was wonderful. We used Christopher Yates photography and were thrilled with our photos. And we used the Disney florists and they too were awesome. Can you tell that we really loved our wedding??

hi sarah, my wife and i got married at the disney wedding pavilion in 1997. we had our reception at the grand floridian. not much on discounts for dvc members though. we had the rehersal dinner in a grand villa at okw(our home resort). everyone of my guests( 72 new yorkers ) said it was the best wedding they ever went to!!!.if you have any more questions you can email me.have a great wedding. davediot@hotmail.com

We were married in Dec. of 1995 at the Buena Vista Palace(in a gazebo by the lake-very pretty). I think they were still working on the wedding pavilion but I'm not sure. Anyway, it was only $150 to rent the gazebo and we had a beautiful service and I wouldn't trade it for anything! E-mail me if you want more info!

I know this isn't a WDW wedding, but it was still a Disney wedding.

We got married at the beach house at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort - just the two of us (and of course the notary and the photographer).
