Last minute cheap getaways?(not WDW)

Has anybody got any experience of last minute deals to somewhere in the sun?.
By this i mean go to TA one day and fly that same day or the day after.
seeing as were off to WDW in may again, we thought after having the new kitchen this year that we wouldnt venture on holiday, but this weather(apart from yesterday), is getting us down we need some sun!!, were looking at a week/10days/14 days max at the end of august(i know kids holidays,but this is the only time we can go).
Has anybody snapped up a bargain??.

Sorry I can't remember if you've got kids but if you haven't you may be in luck as the Airtours website have some cracking deals based on 2 people travelling. My mum and also my Aunt both used Airtours auctions and got 1 week holidays to both Gran Canaria and Fuerventura (sp?). They were both 3* apartments in a resort complex and they paid approx £120 this was based on 2 people travelling!!!!

I'd love to be able to use them but they never seem to have deals based on 5 people travelling
