I didn't see a thread posted for November 2010, so I thought I'd start one.

Feel free to post your dates here, or any other details about your upcoming trip!

Only plans right now is 4 "adults" (well 3 late 20 something and an early 30 something) going November 10-16th.

Beyond that nothing... not sure about hotel, food, flights, cost. Just know we got 2 birthdays while there and a first timer going.

Oh also this will be my first time planning a WDW trip :scared:

I'm in!! Just booked a stay at the Swan for Nov 5-8, 2010. Only 3 nights, but it will be an "adults only" long weekend for my husband and I.

We will fly down on Friday evening, probably spend Saturday and Sunday at Epcot, not sure what we'll do on Mon., and fly home Monday evening. It should be the last weekend of the Food and Wine Festival, which I've always wanted to attend, but have never had a chance. We love Epcot, and have 10-day, no expiration tickets. All we will need to arrange are the flights and a rental car!!

Really looking forward to our romantic weekend!!

Sooo excited! Can't wait to start some serious planning.

I just took a glance at the UG's crowd calendar predictions from last Thanksgiving week and compared them to Thanksgiving week for this year. Trying to see if there are any similarities between the two. I did notice that the crowd predictions seem to be higher this year than last. Hmmm....:confused3

Anyhoo....we can't wait for Thanksgiving week 2010! :goodvibes

Our dates aren't set in stone quite yet. This is the earliest week we would go. We've always gone during Halloween week, but we want to give the Christmas season a try. If we are able to get it, we might move our week to December 3-12.

This will also be my first time planning the trip, as my FIL has handed over the reins to me this year. I'm excited and nervous at the same time! I will definitely be relying on the DIS to get me through it!

I'm so ready to go but will have to settle for making plans right now. How soon does everyone start their actual day-to-day planning?

We'll be there Nov. 21-28. Hopefully the crowds will be tolerable, but I think with a good plan, it's all doable!

We're going the 3rd week...not exact on dates right now, but it looks like 11/14 - 11/20!

This will be our first trip with our DS. He will be 22 mo! We can't wait! Oh, and it will be our first as DVC owners. We're not sure if we're going to stay at our "home" resort because my parents will be coming as well and they are bigger fans of BWV and BCV...so we shall see what they want to do :)

Reservations made for WL-our favorite resort at Christmas!

I'll admit I already have a tentative plan for when I'm going to MVMCP, Candlelight Processional and the parks (based on this years schedule). And I know what restaurants we want ressies for. (My date to make ressies is May 31st)
I'm not OCD (not much!!) just Happy to be planning!!!!!

Looking forward to reading about everyone's plans.......

 YAY! an official November 2010 thread...I'm in too!

We are going down for 2 of my girls' birthdays and staying on for Thanksgiving and as another poster said this will be our first trip "home" to BLT :cool1: (our first night though for points reasons will most likely be at POP)

I get to make our ressie this coming Sunday 12-20...a very nice pre-Christmas present.

I'm so ready to go but will have to settle for making plans right now. How soon does everyone start their actual day-to-day planning?

I have made a tenative list of ADR's too....started pretty much right after we got back from our March trip of 09, sorta mapping it out to help decide on which DDP or no DDP....(goin w/ reg DDP) I know my first ADR window is 5-23-10 not quite share how the 1 night ressie and then the 8 night ressie thing works yet....

But the park hours/entertainment schedule is suppose to be up 180 days out as well since we our traveling end of November I'm thinking beginning of May to finalize up my days...I will most likely make some tenative plan A and B until the entertainment schedule comes out...but this trip we are doing Hoppers so I'm not overally concerned. I do know the 20th is MK regardless of crowds cause that is the 1st of two birthdays we are celebrating and I hope to make ADR's at BBB in the morning and CRT for lunch...

I too looked at the 09 crowd calendar and the park hours/entertainment schedule to get a feel for it.

My somewhat early plan is:

Fri 11-19 arrival no park
Sat 11-20 MK (BBB, CRT, Wishes at BLT)
Sun 11-21 AK (pre-park bfast)
Mon 11-22 ?? and (ph to MK for Spectro and Wishes)
Tues 11-23 DHS (other b-day, CM or 1900 PF bfast)
Wed 11-24 Epcot (HDDR)
Thurs 11-25 Turkey day (no park ?, resort day and Marketplace shopping)
Fri 11-26 MK (ph to DHS for Osborne lights)
Sat 11-27 Epcot (santas and candlelight processional)
Sun 11-28 departure day (no park)

love to squeeze in MVMCP...but not sure how that would work...think it won't be "on" our week

Looking forward to seeing what plans other November trippers make popcorn::

We will be heading over to Fort Wilderness Cabins November 29th, 2010 through December 7th, 2010. We are really excited!! It will be my two little boys, my husband, and I staying for 8 nights.

Can anyone tell me how the MVMCP works? Are the dates out for it yet? Does it cost extra? How do you buy tickets if you need to and what is included?

This will be our first Christmas season at WDW, so we really are newbies at it. So any help you all want to give would be awesome!

Planning a 11/14 - 20 stay.

there are two ways....

1) check out Tour Guide Mike's website...you will need to join this member acess site...but the information is great for new planners or if you haven't been awile and his crowd calendars are very helpful :thumbsup2

2) checkout the Unofficial guide's website touringplans.com you will need to join or if you have the current 09 book you can use that to access this member portion of the site as well. I love the touring plan ideas and area to create your own printable touring plan :thumbsup2

It's my first time going over a major Holiday and down there during the pre-Christmas season too...:santa:

the 2010 dates are NOT out yet, but access the non forum part of this web site and you an look up 09 dates and prices to get a feel for how it may correlate w/ your 2010 dates and a feel for the price. It is a seperate ticket cost and entry vs the normal park pass.

don't qoute me on this part...but can't remember if you need a regular park pass in addition to the party ticket if you are only going to MK at the party time...

but I do know you can arrive about 3 hrs before the official start time which is 7 pm so arrive at 4 pm and the only people that can stay in the park for the party are people w/ tickets.

Happy planning!

At this point, it looks like November 6-13. I don't know where we're staying; we're pushing for WL, but my parents and my brother's family are coming, too, and there could be a money issue.

With free dining and no 4-3 deal, Port Orleans is $1k cheaper!

RobinHoodGirl
12-22-2009, 04:21 PM
So narrowing downing where I think we'll be staying:

Best Bets
Pop Century
All Star Movies

With good budgeting a possibility
Port Orleans

Reaches
Beach Club
Yacht Club
Poly (this is my super-reach)

After the first of the year I will meet with a travel agent to get a better idea what we can afford...

We are booked at the Contemporary, theme park view in the tower for Nov. 10-14 using a bounceback offer that was in our hotel room last weekend. I hope to do one of the early MVMCP dates. We went down about that time this past year and had a great time. Parks were wondeful and not terribly crowded, and the Christmas party was a ghosttown.

Hi everyone! Since we arrive the last day of October, I thought I would post on this thread.

I am taking a 7 night Caribbean cruise October 24-31 for my 40th Birthday. So far I have 10 friends joining me on the cruise and we are still figuring out who will stay after and play at WDW with me.

Due to $$$ we will likely be at one of the Value Resorts, which is fine by me as long as I am at Disney World. Crossing my fingers that Disney will offer free dining again this year for November!

We will disembark the ship at 8:00am, pick up the rental car and drive to Orlando, take a nap, put on our costumes and go to MNSSHP on Halloween. I will have a few Disney virgins with me so it should be extra fun!

This countdown thing is sort of bittersweet: happy to be heading for Disney but sad to be turning 40!

I am tentatively planning our first family trip for Nov. 11 - 15th. I've been twice, once with my hubby. Our kids have never been and they are excited.

We are looking at either Pop or ASMo. I'm not looking at a bunch of ADR's since I'm more interested in seeing as much as possible in our limited time. I am thinking of doing one character breakfast but not sure which one.

Going to start planning (rather then me randomly saying "Disney" to my roommate and then us getting all giddy :rolleyes1) this weekend. Got my planning DVD and going to sit with roommate and 1 travel guest (roommate's boyfriend... who we also live with us is going since we're celebrating both of ours 28th birthdays but isn't be included in hotel planing for some reason)

Still looking at possible a value resort, so any suggestions? I've traveled to WDW in Nov before (but not since 1992) but only stayed in Deluxe resorts - is one value resort better than any other in November?

This is our favorite time of year to go.

I am joining the club!

I just booked 2 United frequent flyer tickets from Ontario, CA to MCO for a grand total of $15. I still need one more ticket and I hope to get it in April after I add some more miles to United mileage plus from my Chicago trip. Hopefully my Son won't miss out and I will get that 3rd ticket! Our savings will be $1077 for airfare! All I need to do now is try to rent some points for the Boardwalk studio or use our 40/30/20 pin code  for Port orleans and then book a 3 day cruise (waiting on the tax refund :thumbsup2) and let the local relatives know we will be in town for thanksgiving this year!

I had to cancel our trip for Nov 2009 due to the uncertain economy so I am excited and determined to get back into planning our 4th Disney trip and nothing will make me cancel this time!

I'm so excited!!!

I talked with my sister about maybe going in November again this year. We're also going with my cousin and her husband and little boy in May 2011. So I didn't know if she'd buy into it. But I mentioned it anyway.
Well yesterday, in the car, I mentioned to my sister if we were going to D.C. in May (small trip). She said "I don't think so if we're going to try to go to WDW in November."
I'm so excited!!!!
Now I have to wait on a PIN code or when the discounts come out. My mom got a PIN code, but it's through June 12th. Hopefully she'll get another one...
For the past 2 years, we've gone the 3rd week in November. I think I want to try the week after Thanksgiving this time. So that would make our dates Nov. 27- Dec. 4. I've been the first week of December in 2007, and had a blast.
Hopefully, we do get to go!!!

I am also awaiting the dates for the VMCP and osborne lights to be announced, but have booked the AKL for November 8th till November 13th, keeping my fingers crossed that both will be early November like last year and other Christmas decorations are up around the parks and resorts have never gone down this time of year before......but has been a dream of mine for a long long time !:santa:

Adults only 3 night trip hopefully staying at the beach club Nov 17-20.. Leaving my kids home with their Nana- accomplished by bribing my son that I will book another trip for Aug 2011 while onsite.... Basically used that to bribe my husband into the trip as well w/ potential for bounce back offer :-)

Waiting to book until Holiday shows/schedule are announced or we get to the 180 point, whichever comes first... It's making me NUTS, i am obsessively planning each day/night on last years schedule of events :)

I didn't realize that the Food and Wine Festival would still be going on - and then we can enjoy the Christmas decorations! How awesome is that???? Plus the Festival of the Master at Downtown Disney (right across the water from our resort)!!! We spent Spring Break in '09 enjoying the flowers - next we'll need to come down during Star Wars Weekend - maybe summer 2011! :rotfl2: Start Planning eh?

Gina

After 12 years of visiting WDW I FINALLY got my 1st ever PIN code!! So, I booked October 31 - November 3 at the Contemporary with the 40% off code. My friends that are playing at WDW with me are flying home November 3 but I am pondering staying thru the 7th, but would down grade to a value or moderate if staying solo.

I really wanted the Poly but it was $300 more than the Contemporary and since most of my friends are 1st timers and have limited time, how much will we really be at the resort? I just thought that a monorail resort would be nice. I wonder if they will do MNSSHP on November 1??? If not we will join the masses and attend on Halloween.

It will be me, DH, DD11, DD8 and DS5. We can't wait! I have never done any ADRs or used the crowd calendar. My 1st trip was a gift for just DH and me, 2nd trip was part of a grand gathering that someone took care of things. So I'm getting lots of great info here!

I received multiple pins this year and I think the trick is to go on the Disney web site and save a few possible itineraries....be sure to do one or two at different levels, ie. values, mod's, with dining, with basic tickets etc. Won't say this will definitly work but it's worth a try and you'll get a kick out of seeing how much you'd have to pay if you weren't "Dis"-wise! :rotfl:

I have a couple questions about MVMCP for those who might know. Firstly, about when might we have dates? When we settled on the November dates, I knew I was giving up MNSSHP in order to be there for DD's actual birthday. I realized today though that if the dates correspond to the equivalent weeks from last year, then we'll catch both the last week of F&W (confirmed already) AND the first week of MCMCP!

Assuming we do catch it, I know it is an extra ticket. We're not doing park hoppers, so does that mean we could do another park that day, then go to MK for the CP? Or do I have to make that a MK day? I plan to have two full days for MK.

You do not have to go to MK that day if you do not have PH. You can get into MK at, I think 4, with your party ticket.

We are very close to booking for Thanksgiving week. This will be my first trip booking at WDW resort, as we use to live in Orlando and went to Disney free almost weekly! (It is killing me to pay for this! LOL!)

We are going to be budget travel as much as possible, as we have a big family cruise planned already and booked for June of 2011.

I just keep waiting to book because I feel extremely overwhelmed. What are the "pins" I keep reading about? I am reading as much as possible on these boards, but even this information gets overwhelming! :confused3

Any help would be appreciated.

Woo-hoo! Our park hours are up! Looks like we'll be able to his evening EMH at every park but MK, and one day of morning EMH there. Oddly, on the other day (Tuesday 11/9) not only are there no EMH, but the park is closing at 6:30 and the "semi-official" list of MVMCP days that's been posted on another part of the board does not show this as a party day. There is a party on the morning EMH day, which is cool to catch an extra-long MK day, but DD's birthday is the ninth so I was hoping to catch either EMH or MVMCP. Hopefully the "semi-official" dates will turn out to be wrong, and we can catch a party that day. Otherwise, the super-early close seems odd to me.

ETA: In the MNSSHP/MVMCP thread, they're saying there may be a private event on the ninth. Bummer.

Wilderness Lodge Nov 27 to Dec. 2nd . . . . . so I posted in both the Nov and Dec. thread.

Can't wait to go to take my 2 year old son for the first time and my 6 year old daughter for the first time that she can actually remember. She enjoyed it when she was 2, but does not remember anything besides the videos we show her. She is over the moon and I am not sure she can hold out until November. She had me go through all the full ride videos on Youtube last night and wants to go on everything. She is tall enough and acting brave now, but we'll just see how she is when we get to the entraces for Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Tower of Terror, and Everest :). My wife may be spending some time in the shops with the little one if my daughter ends up being into all the thrill rides.

Ok, this is my first time posting but I love reading everything and trying to learn what I need to know. I think we've decided on Nov.13-20 staying at the Poly - is it important to book 180 days out? I should get on that I guess. I can't wait. I have been to Disney twice, but it was in 1983 and 1986, so I think things have changed somewhat. This will be the first visit for my husband and two children (ages 6 and 4) and I'm soooooooo excited!:cheer2:

:welcome: to the DIS!!

The week of November you want to visit isn't very crowded, but you want to go ahead and book as soon as your dates are firm- you can book Disney hotels up to a year of more in advance. You will be able to book dining at the 180 day mark- any character meals or popular dining spots fill up quickly, so go ahead and book as soon as your 180 day window comes up.

If you haven't been back since 1986, there is LOTS of new stuff to experience (Disney's Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, for starters)! Have a wonderful time- you will also get to see WDW decked out in a lot of its holiday decorations. Try to catch the last weekend of the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot- it is really great.

Just finding the DIS and taking advantage of all the great information on here is a wonderful start. By the time November rolls around, you will be fully prepared for your Disney vacation. :wizard:

This whole trip is top secret till her birthday in early October when she will find out. My husband is suddenly sad to be missing her first Disney visit, he is so not a Disney sort of guy and initially was more than happy to stay home with our 2 year old son. Oh well! Its too many points to use for the Friday night. I'll be me, DH, DS18, DD8 and Dsis, DBIL and DN. We will pick up DS18 from college at Florida Tech on Tuesday night after Fantasmic and bring him back to the resort. We have ADR's for Mama Melrose Fantasmic package on Tuesday the 23rd and For Thanksgiving dinner... Chef Mickey's!:banana: It'll be our first time at Mama Melrose and Chef Mickey's. I have Chef Mickey's booked for our August trip, but will have to cancel as its at 7:45am and DHS has EMH at 8am and since TSM is closing that Saturday, I want to make sure we get quality time with it! Does the new jersey school holiday affect crowds the first week in nov?

No, I do not believe it does. and you have a school holiday the first week of November? Is this 4 days? In VA, we always have a 4 day weekend coinciding with election day. Although I have not been to Disney during that 4 day holiday (what was I thinking?) I've been in mid October and I've been Thanksgiving week beginning on Sunday. In the past, the mid October time was great, not too crowded, even with MNSSHP. Thanksgiving week, the crowds were low until the day after Thanksgiving. So, I'd assume the first week of November would be a nice lull.

Are you taking the whole week or just the 4 days?
We're doing Thanksgiving again this year because our public schools are out for the whole week, but the college isn't. We're arriving on Sunday with the grade school kids and then picking up my DS18 from Florida Tech on Tuesday evening after Fantasmic (he'll miss Mama Melrose :sad1:). This is our first public school year with the whole week off for Thanksgiving.

11/28-12/3 at CBR with DH, myself, and DD4. May actually try to talk hubby into waiting to come back home on Saturday instead once I can get FL res. discount for hotel. Purchasing the FL res. weekday pass ...it's cheaper than a 4 day MYW with PH. DH wants to take DD back for her 5th birthday next May, so that will come in handy. As of right now dining at Chef Mickeys for dinner on 11/28, Princess Breakfast and Germany on 11/29, Crystal Palace and MVMCP on 11/30, and 50s Prime Time Cafe on 12/1. Anythng else will be at the resort or counter service. We are so excited!!:dumbo:

 YAY! an official November 2010 thread...I'm in too!

Welcome to the DISboards. Since you're very new, I want to let you know that DISers identify themselves with Lime Green Mickey heads. We hang them on our luggage, make T shirts with them, flags, etc. Often we pick up the Lime Green Mickey head paint chip from the home depot and hang it on our stuff so other DISers at the park know we're also DISers. I made a flag to hang from our balcony, but during our August trip we're at the Pop, and won't have a balcony, so we probably won't bring the flag, but we will be at SSR in November and will hang it from our balcony. We're going the week of Thanksgiving. Sorry we'll miss you.

Enjoy your first Disney trip. With lots of planning and information, you'll have a great trip.

Yeah, we are coming a long way. It takes us one whole travel day to get there, but it's worth it. We've gone to DL before, but it's just not the same. I really think there's pixie dust in the air in Orlando. Besides there's nothing like walking down main street for the first time during your trip and seeing the castle in the background. It's absolutely magical.

For our trip we've got 3 ADRs: the Biergarten, 50's Prime Time Diner, and breakfast at Tusker House. All three of these are new locations for us, so I'm excited about that. We've never done the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian. Sounds intriguing....might have to check that out. TFS

I haven't done 50's Prime Time (but it looks so cute) or Tusker, but we've done Biergarten. That one is fun and the food is good. You really should check out afternoon tea at the Grand. It begins at 2:30 and it might go til about 4:30. So you can get a seating during that time. Depending on which service you order, you get your tea choice, and then a collection of yummy tea sandwiches such as cucumber, egg salad and watercress and an onion tart. You also get scones and devonshire cream and jam. Dessert can be your choice of a selection of yummy pastries that they bring out or the trifle. I get the trifle. Its delicious. Here's a photo of the sandwiches.

Is this something my 9 yr old son can do? If it's really girlie he won't like it.

I have seen boys in there. It is a formal English tea service. There is a specific choice grouping for children. I always get the Buckingham Palace which includes champagne and strawberries in addition to the tea sandwiches, scones, tea and sweets. There is even a "manly" choice with beer. I have seen men in there too. It is very quiet and relaxing and they have the expensive Royal Albert china (as you can see in the photo). For my daughter, we always order her the Mrs. Potts tea service which she gets with Rooibos tea, which has a child friendly name on the menu. It is also available with chocolate milk. Whether your son would enjoy it just depends on him and how well he can behave in a "fancy" setting. My son who is 18 would have done just fine if we'd done something like that when he was little. We have just always done it as a "ladies only" treat. We usually get dressed up with resort casual sundresses and my DD wore her new sailor dress (with the matching doll dress) and brought her doll. Last year she wore a pretty swiss dot dress with an easter bonnet... but by no means do all guests dress up. Its a fancy room, with fancy china but the people are casual.

Hi Snow White1.... Snow White here... wish you could score your airfare. I'm so glad we have the option to drive, even though its soooo long compared to a 2 hour flight. For us its 900 miles. We must drive this time because we'll have all my son's college stuff with us. We're taking him to college an hour from Disney, then taking our by then 8 year old on a Disney vacation. Keep trying all the sites like Travelocity, Expedia, AAA.... whatever it takes! You CAN do it. Does Southwest travel to your city? They don't charge for luggage!:lovestruc

below is a pic of me at the MNSSHP in Oct 08. Its why I'm Snow White ;) and that's my real hair!

You are lucky you can drive. How fun that your son will be at college so near to Disney. You will have to go there more often now. Weehee!

No driving for us - it would take too long. I'm hoping that there will be some sort of an airfare sale at some point. I keep checking.

I love your photo! You truly are the perfect Snow White! I look absolutely nothing like Snow White, but I used to work at a corner grocery store called 'Snow White' so couldn't resist using the name.

Thanks for the tip about Southwest - I'll have to check and see if they go to Minneapolis yet.....

Don't forget to visit the Salem Witch Museum. My DD loved it. Also, being there on Halloween should be really special. We were there, but it was not Halloween. There is a nice restaurant, but I don't remember the name, but it had a great salad bar. It was right in the historic area on a corner adjacent to the antique tall ship. There are also alot of cool "interesting" shops. :stir:

Well, it's time to come out of hiding.

Been following various threads here to plan my family's first trip to Disney. Niether I, DW, DS5, nor DD9 have ever been. This site and some others have been quite valuable to my planning.

We're arriving Nov 18 and returning home on Thanksgiving Day. I had originally booked the Wilderness Lodge, but got a 20/30/40 pin code. Couldn't use it on a room I wanted at WL, so we upgraded to the Polynesian and are still paying less overall.

I've got ADR's setup, so now it's just time for impatiently waiting for the day to come. Oh, and waiting for Southwest to finally open up late November for booking!

You'll really enjoy that time of year at Disney. This will be our 2nd Thanksgiving there. Thanksgiving dinner at Chef Mickey. My sister and her family will be joining us as they did in 2007. Don't miss the life sized gingerbread house in the lobby of the Grand Floridian. Its AWESOME.

Hi, the photo is from November 2007 when we went down the week of Thanksgiving. I don't know for sure, but I would imagine that with MVMCP going on, they'll have holiday decorations up by then, and that would probably include the gingerbread house. That photo only shows half of it. It was rather large, smelled awesome and they sold refreshments from it with some very lucky cast members getting to work inside it all day.... MMMMmmmmmm:santa:

Thank You for the info, I was thinking of stopping at GF on our last day to see the Gingerbread House since we are heading to MK in the morning being we have a late flight, but did not want to bother if there was no chance of it being up. You have given me a glimmer of hope of seeing it this trip.:santa:

Before you head over, you could either call the Grand Floridian yourself, or ask at the front desk of your hotel. They probably would know. Its sort of a big deal and is really popular.

Me, my mom and Josh will be there November 10-14. Not sure where we are staying yet because we are going to be with a BIG group of people. Chldren's Miracle Network has a Champions program. Each year a child is chosen from each state to be the Champion for that year. Josh is the Champion for Missouri this year (we live in Illinois but he is treated at a St. Louis Hospital). We already got to go on a Champions trip to Washington DC and are REALLY looking forward to the WDW trip in November!!!! In Washington the kids had Champion shirts that they wore everywhere. So if you see a huge group of people and the kids have CMN Champion shirts on, come say HI!!!!!

There's a few things that I *miss* about this trip, but am NOT complaining. Since we are going with Children's Miracle Network, I have no idea where we are staying and we don't have the flexibility to make our own ADR's. I think that we are going to be "moving as a group" and most meals are planned for us. Since I really have no idea what the itinerary is, I don't know where we'll be when!! So its a little bit of a different excitement--the "not knowing" excitement. I'm usually the one that does all the planning for our trips, so this is weird for me. But like I said, I'm NOT complaining at all--its just a different sort of adventure!!!!

Haven't made any ADRs yet, but I assume I'd better get going. Which Princess meals are best - any opinions? Cinderella's table, the one at Epcot or 1900 Park Fare?

You can read reviews on dining on wdwinfo.com and on allears.net.com . It really depends what you're looking for in a meal and Princess interaction. I did a breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and there weren't any princesses. Just Pooh, Tigger, Alice (not a princess), Mary Poppins, Mad Hatter.. I think that was it. Review the menus carefully. These meals are too expensive to bother if you're not going to get a meal your child will eat. My daughter had a lovely time meeting Snow White, and she spent a good amount of time with her outside the Germany pavilion. No meal necessary. Jasmine can be found near Morocco and Cinderella near France (that's where we found her). Think about whether buffet or ordering from a menu suits you. I think the castle meal is a plated meal but you don't get to choose (like at a wedding). The reviews can be very helpful, but make sure they're fairly recent.

Thank you so much for your suggestions. It is fun to look at the menus. My daughter is very keen to do a meal with princesses so we will try one, but boy is it tough to choose! I have been trying to go online to check on things but disneyworld.com will NOT accept my password and it's driving me nuts. Anyone else having issues?

We went to Disney for Thanksgiving in 2007. That year the crowds were quite manageable, but I"m comparing it to spring break, which was just plain crazy and July 09 which was wild! Early in the week, prior to Thanksgiving day, it really wasn't bad at all. It just got busy on Friday and saturday. That's what I"m hoping for this year. We've got Chef Mickey for Thanksgiving dinner. If your in-laws join you, and you have to switch ADR's, I recommend you give Whispering Canyon a try. We did that one with a party of 8 for 2007's Thanksgiving dinner. We had a nice round table in a private alcove by a fireplace, it was perfect!

We are scheduled to go to Whispering Canyon eariler that week. I'm sure I wouldn't mind going back for a second time. We are going to be in Epcot that day so my thought was to try to stay inside epcot for dinner. That is going to be our 2nd epcot day and slow epcot day where we will be just hanging out mostly in future world. I'm guessing that thanksgiving day should be packed.. We get in the thursday before thanksgiving so our plan is to hit the majority of attractions before tuesday when we think the crowds will come. The take it slow the rest of the week.

Yah, I will use my 20/30/40 PIN for the room and eat out of pocket. My only table services will be dinner at 'Ohana's each night (yes, I like it that much!) and I will have a fridge w/ snacks in my room plus a few quick services so I should be fine.

Oh NO!! Great big frown! :sad1: We will pass you on the road somewhere along I-95!! We are leaving on the 27th and will arrive home on the 28th. We usually can't wrest ourselves from the place, so we tend to leave as late as possible. We will however, have to drive to Florida Tech first, to return Max to his dorm before we hit the road north, so we can't linger at DTD til 11:00 pm and close down Ghirardeli's like we've done before!
