View Full Version : Dining credits on kid's card, CC on adults?
This is our first time to try the dining plan, and I think I read a suggestion somewhere that when we are issued our room keys, we should have them put charging privileges on the adult cards (which is what we usually do) and put the DDP credits on the kids' cards.
I think the reason was to avoid accidentally using a DDP credit to pay for something you wanted to pay out of pocket, or vice versa, specially at CS places. Does that actually happen?
Is this a good suggestion? What do you guys usually do?

the dining plan credits will be on ALL the cards.
You can ask that charge priveleges be put on only the adult cards, but the adult cards will also have the dining plan on them.
We have never had any errors made in 1/2 dozen trips with dining plans. We always check the receipts, and we've had some messy bills (with added appetisers, adult beverages, etc. Sometimes we've used credit card, dining plan and cash to cover the same bill. They always did it right.)

Catne's correct - you can restrict charging privileges, but dining credits will be accessible from ALL key cards associated with a reservation.
Oh, so for example, will my 8yo's card have only the kid meal credits on them, and mine have just my credits -- or does each card have access to all credits?
(Sorry for the cluelessness!)

All cards will have access to all credits, no matter who the card is registered to.
