How soon before your vacation did you receive the concierge questionnaire and key? We are due to arrive on August 4th, and have yet to hear from anyone.

I would contact them, if I were you. I'm pretty sure we heard from them much sooner than that. What "key" are you talking about?

We never heard from the YC concierge before our trip last Dec. But, it was no big thing. Our Dreams Unlimited agent had already informed them of our requests, which they fulfilled wonderfully.

We did not need the elevator access key. When we arrived at the YC, we informed the bell person that we were staying on the concierge level. He made a phone call to the concierge CM's to let them know that we had arrived and then he took us and our bags directly up to the 5th floor. We checked in while the bell person took our bags to our room.

The service that we received upon our arrival made us truly feel like VIP's !!!

So don't get too nervous, even if you don't get the questionnaire. The concierge CM's at the YC are very good at what they do.

I'm staying at the BC at the end of August and heard from the concierge in May. I believe the YC and the BC share the same concierge staff. I heard from Katina. It wouldn't hurt to contact them.

We're staying at the Yacht Club 9/15-21 and heard from the concierge at the end of June.

Give them a buzz!:p

I never heard from the YC concierge before my stay either. And when I checked in, I checked in at the main desk (I had reserved the Captains Deck Suite and thus should have had concierge check-in). The kicker to all this was that I had to find my own way to my suite. No one escorted me or my guests, which I thought odd. I was given our set of room keys and told to have a nice stay. I should note that I checked in mid-afternoon and the resort was dead (there was only one other person checking in at the same time as me). Thanks, YC, for your topnotch service (hee hee).

Is it true that if you are staying concierge at the BC, you still check in, in the main lobby, not upstairs on the concierge level?

I got a welcome packet from them about 70 days before my arrival date. It included a card to access the fifth floor. I'm arriving in late August.

Ducklite,
What hotel are you staying at? I'll have to look for a packet in the mail soon if thats standard for all concierge guests. I'm going the end of August.

That post was for the YC. We're staying at the Poly concierge at the beginning of the trip, and they also sent their packet about 75 days out.

We've stayed concierge at the GF, BWI, and AKL in the past as well. BWI sent their package about 40 days prior, AKL was about 45. GF never bothered, and it was a bad experience all around.

Bobrow - I am also staying at YC Conc. end of August and received the same form you did, but didn't receive anything additional. Also, I didn't receive a special access card.

I called and spoke with Andy from Concierge. He was very helpful. They are no longer sending out keys to the fifth floor. He said to check in with the bell staff and they will take us up to the fifth floor to check in. Andy wasn't sure why we hadn't received an itinerary planning questionnaire, but he took care of it over the phone!

17 days! I can hardly wait!
