For our 2010 vacation!

Options:

October 1 - October 15
October 23 - November 6
November 4 - November 18

Option 1, still very warm at that time of year (and I'm not one that likes hot and humid weather).

Option 2, would be there for Halloween (we love Halloween here), but may also see some Christmas decorations. Also will be Jersey week.

Option 3, would be there for Christmas decorations and would also be able to see Osborne Lights (never seen these). Tail end of Jersey week.

Thoughts? Opinions?

P.S. Super excited that next year we'll be going for 2 weeks!

I would go with Option 1 ( we did this ourselves ). Halloween parties will have begun at both Disney and Universal by then. So will the Food and Wine festival. Also, if you're lucky ( it varies depending on the year ) you might still get in on free dining!

I would go with option 3, especially since you aren't a fan of hot weather.

I survived this October, which had the hottest October highs in over 20+ years, but it wasn't that humid. It's the humidity that kills me.

We'll be staying off-site again, so free-dining is no biggie for us.

Food & Wine is not big for us either, as our kids are still little and have no interest.

So option #3 may be the best bet for us next year. Getting flights on a Thursday shouldn't be a problem should it?

I wouldn't think so - esp. with booking far enough ahead. I am actually planning a 2010 trip also with two of my sisters. We are planning on around the end of Nov, after US Thanksgiving for about ten days. How far ahead are you going to book your vacation? We will be flying out of Seattle.

I vote for option #3. It is the time we go every year now.

We always go in November (so option 3 for you). Are main reasons are:
1. October weather is usually nice here.
2. We like Halloween, giving out candies, our DD trick or treating in our neighborhood...
3. The weather in November here is usually cold, cloudy, drizzly....
4. Nothing to do in November except decide when to start decorating for Christmas.
5. November in Orlando is usually nice. Kinda like September here. Some days shorts and t-shirts, some days jeans and sweater.
6. We see as kick off to holiday season. We get in the Christmas spirit at WDW and when we get get back home we're all ready to start plannig and decorating for Christmas.

Have fun!
