DH's Aunt has booked the Buy 4, Get 3 Package for March 2010. She is considering returning in October for F&W :cool1: and is considering getting an AP. Will she be able to upgrade her Buy 4, Get 3 ticket to an Annual Pass? If so, what will the approximate cost will be?

She will be able to upgrade her ticket to an AP, but I'm not sure if it is the cost of a 4-day ticket or a 7-day ticket that is credited to her AP price. Maybe someone else here can answer that in a second post.

The difference between a 4 day ticket and a 7 day ticket is like $10.

Dh and I have the 4/3 promo for our March trip. We had to purchase a 7 day park ticket to qualify, so I would think we would get credit for the 7 days when we upgrade to the AP.

I did that in August of 2009. We were there on the buy 4 get 7 and we added park hopping. On the last day of our trip, I upgraded my ticket to an AP at DHS's guest relations. They gave me credit for a 7 day park hopper. I paid the difference to a regular AP (they also offer the PAP).
It seems that they would apply the same logic now as they did then.
It was recommended to me by DISboard friends to do the upgrade at a park and not at a resort. It worked well for me.
Good luck.

Thanx for the input. I have sent her the calculations, 4 day vs 7 day vs 4 day hopper vs 7 day hopper. Now I remember why I hated Algebra.......:sad2:

A trick people used last year to increase the value of the free days with the promotion, to apply toward a AP, was to add the "No Expiration" option and bump up the number of days on ticket to 10.
With a 10day pass, the option costs 20.90 per day, which applied to the 3 free days. Basically $62.70 additional free cash toward your new annual pass.
I can't say for sure if it still works this way, but it sure was a bargain last year :thumbsup2

We just got back yesterday and upgraded our 4/3 tickets for APs while we were there. We called ahead of time and changed from 7 day PHs to 9 day No Expiration (there was no savings difference between the 9 day or 10 day). Great deal!
