I have a picky 9 year old that usually has to eat a balanced diet except at a Disney park (within reason). I tried to find a kid's menu at the Blue Bayou but I'm not having any luck. Does anyone know if they have one?

Also, can anyone tell me how the food is? That is beside the Monte Cristo?

My dd had Mickey shaped chicken nugget meal from the kids menu - which is printed on a cute pirate menu - I think there were fries or another selection and if memory serves me right - there is jello with whipped cream too

I also have a VERY picky 9 year-old! I seem to remember a good selection on the kid's menu--you shouldn't have a problem.

Have fun!

They definitely have a kid's menu. :D And I've had the blackened chicken salad many times, it's DELICIOUS! Every time I've eaten there everyone has been very happy with the menu choice.

Enjoy! :D

The menu when we were there in Novemeber was this:

Long John's Special - Mickey Chicken Nuggest served with mashed potatoes and a corn cobette $6.99

Captains Treasures - Mini Corn Dogs served with Mashed Potatoes, an a corn cobette $6.99

Buccaneer's Bounty - Fresh pasta covered with a hearty tomato sauce served with grated parmesan cheese - $6.99

Includes choice of beverages - soda, milk, mint julep, apple juice or lemonade

and for dessert a Mickey shapped jello w/ whipped cream

It says for 8 & younger but my 10 yo had no trouble ordering a child's meal.

The kids menu is great, because after they've ordered, it converts into a cool pirate hat that they can take home as a souvenier.

We LOVE the Monte Cristo (Affectionately called a clogged artery served on a plate) and they usually have a special (typically Thursdays & Sundays, but as the menu rotates, you can't be certain) that entail Crab Cakes/Beef Tenderloins/Scalloped Potatoes for $15.99 - Alot of excellent food, and it gives you an opportunity to try a little something different. (Ok, now I'm craving crab cakes.

Have a great time - you won't be disappointed.
All my best
