View Full Version : Hello, I am an idiot (eurostar reassurance needed!)

Hello! I've been lurking here for months, but we're off on Sunday :cool1: and I've just realised I've done something silly!
I booked my eurostar tickets months ago, and elected to get them from the machine at Ashford. However, in the meantime I've changed my bank account to my married name, got a new card and, you guessed it, cut my old card up and thrown it away. The bloke at Eurostar has told me to take my bank statement with the transaction on it and all will be fine, but I'm paranoid now!!
Anyone else had to do this?
Anyway, a big hello to everyone who'll be there on the 8th - if you see a frazzled woman running after 4 daughters - that'll be me ;)

FOUR daughters?! :scared1: Just wanted to say welcome and well done for coming out of the lurking woodwork- it's the best thing I ever did! As Emma said, it might be an idea to have a note put on your booking if you haven't done already. I'm sure it'll be fine.
Have fun!!

Thank you for not pointing and laughing!
Don't think he put a note on the booking, but we've decided that since we'll be there early on Saturday afternoon we'll go and get the tickets then, which will give us time to sort out any problems, and make sure we know the route from the hotel at the same time.
I'm now super-excited. The girls don't know about the trip yet, we're telling them on Friday evening. No secretly-packed cases here - the eldest is 10 and has strong ideas about what she wears :) I've bought a Christmas gift box from the Disney store - just got to make an invite to go inside!
This is a 'push-the-boat-out' trip for us - when my daughter starts high school I don't want to take her out of school, so we'll be doing high season trips - which will take some saving for when there are 6 of us! So I went mad when the 40% offer was on and booked us a family room at the DLH, and we have booked Inventions for both nights :cool1:
I'll never persuade the older girls into dressing up clothes - but I might force my 17 month old into a Minnie Mouse frock for evening meals. Hoping to do all the Christmassy things, plus Stitch live and Playhouse Disney live, which weren't there when we last visited. I'm an obsessive planner by nature - I have to stop myself hurrying the girls from one thing to the next ;)
Right, I'm off to print out the letters for Father Christmas! :santa:
