Hello Crusiers !
We are just a week or so away from our Turkey Cruise... My family made the run to Target for the last minute items... We mostly have everything ready. We leave this week and will stay in Disney for a week before the cruise.
Really looking forward to meeting everyone... Looks like my family will be decked out in our MARSHALL gear. "WE ARE MARSHALL" anyone see that movie? We will be all in green... or my daughter will be wearing her Dolphins jersey with PENNINGTON on the back....
Really getting excited.

Can everyone please send Jennifer the names of their kids in addition to the family name? One of the FE gifts we are making requires their name. I don't want anyone to be left out.
Also, Jennifer, can you send what you have so far? I'm running out of time to make things....
Or heck, everyone can PM me with their kids name and age. That will help me get started.

Funny that you say that.... Randy Moss is from West Virginia and we watched him grow up playing Jr. & Sr High Football then go onto to Marshall. We really thought he would start acting like a grown up sometime...
We have followed Chad Pennington too... He is a Marshall Grad.... Jets.... Miami.....

Wendy, I am all too familiar with Marshall football (well at least in the past)....do you live in or near Huntington? Don't forget about Leftwich who played for a couple teams as well. Right now I think Ahmad Bradshaw is one of the big success stories out of Marshall...I don't think many people realize he went there.
My 6 yr old is helping me with the "personalized" part of our gifts...therefore it takes a long time to complete a simple task. Hopefully Jennifer posts soon and can PM us all of the detailed information for each family. Thanks to everyone who has recently posted so that I could get started.

Forgot to ask, did we ever get stateroom number and kids names for Allisonjones? That looks like the only thing I have missing from my list.
For anyone who already bought gifts, we have two young cousins who are on the cruise but not participating in the FE exchange. I tried to talk their mom into it....they have never done one before. She wanted to see what it was all about on this cruise, and maybe do it the next cruise. Anyway, they are two boys, ages 5 & 8. I know they would be happy to get some surprises left outside their door. I will find out their stateroom number if anyone is interested. I already planned to give them gifts so that next time they would beg their mom to participate!

So I called my Mom the other day and said I needed a Fish extender.
She has only been on 1 disney cruise and had never saw one.
So I sent her a pic of one and told her what it was used for.
She went to the store, got some fabric and sewed one. Put it in the mail on Tuesday and we got it today. She said after she mailed that one she sat down and made another one. Then put it in the mail. So I should get another one tomorrow.
I have to say that the first one she sent is very cute!
Ps- Think I have the best Mom in the world! :thumbsup2
Trying not to plan too much this weekend so I can pack! :woohoo:

I was just bragging on my dear Mom who sent 2 Fish Extenders.
If your cousin wants to borrow one for this cruise, she can.
I feel if you leave anything outside the door, they will more in likely "go poof"

And as to the luggage, I have rented a forklift to load the car....seriously, main suitcase was a pain to get down the stairs and would probably cost more than the ticket in penalties on most airlines....

This was our second Thanksgiving Cruise in a row for us, so I think we are going to hold off on booking more cruises and plan a WDW vacation for our daughter--she'll be turning 5 in January of 2012, so we are thinking of a WDW vacation in early December next year as an early birthday present!
We spent two nights before our cruise at the Boardwalk and LOVED IT! That was our first stay there, and it was wonderful.

We had great fun on the cruise. Our 5 year old, Amber, LOVED coming back to the room and seeing what was in the FE each day. It made her day.
She also loved delivering the tote bags we did to each room. Hopefully those helped out with taking all your stuff home or maybe when you go to the groc. store in the future you can use it and think back to how much you would rather be on a Disney Cruise. I know we can not wait to go again.
I wish we could have meet everyone. We were the couple with the little baby that always had two pigtails standing up, Brooke. She learned to walk on the cruise and all day long just wanted to practice walking around. Loads of great memories.

I enoyed the Castaway Club member get together, it was nice to get a picture with Capt. Mickey without waiting in line and watching the video for the Dream.
I did not know about the Castaway Club member get-together.....must make a mental note to watch for it next cruise!

Three years ago when I cruised I got a writen invitation, but this time strangly enough I just got a voicemail the night before. Their weren't a whole lot of people there. I wonder if alot of folks weren't told about it? I know I'd been very upset if I missed it. This was my 8th cruise. :)

The reason is that the Castaway Club meeting is now only for gold and platinum members...if you are silver, there was likely no invite given.
