Disney Adventures-what do you think?

So, after some steamed shrimp and a few drinks on the back porch, DH and I started talking about Disney Adventures, somewhere out of the US.

What do you think about this? Have you do one? I would love to hear opinions. If we did go, it would be DH and I, kids are in college so almost officially empty nesters.

I would do an ABD trip, they look wonderful. But I wouldn't use points for it, even the cheapest trips are hundreds of points per person.

Ah, we were thinking about using points. It would be 3 years worth of points. Using our DVC points is probably the only way we would be able to do it. BUT....that is why we bought them in the first place.

we did the Wyoming adventure on a combination of points and cash. Absolutely awesome.
I pretty much use my points however the wind blows me. I'm just not into figuring out the best "value" for our points. We wanted to try the abd and had the points so hey we signed up.
Karen, the trip was awe inspiring. I can't say enough about it. we had never been to the national parks before and Yellowstone is beyond any thing I imagined.

We plan on doing the ABD trips on points when our kids are older. Yes, they are alot of points, but they are also very expensive if you pay cash. We plan on using our points on trips that aren't just at Disney World. We bought our points to enjoy, not to worry if we are making the best use out of them. I say go and enjoy!

We did an ABD, but it wasn't outside the US..we did Backstage Magic and it was FANTASTIC for a Disney fan. Unbeatable access. There is a nice ABD section on the Dis with lots of trip reports, so you might want to head over there and see what people think about the out of US trips. Everything I've read shows them to be wonderful.

What is the Backstage Magic. Is it like the Behind the Scenes tour?
I didn't know I could use points for this.
I am going in April and August but would use the extra points I have for
our August trip. Thanks.

Oh, and to the OP, I say use the points as you want, since you have them.
I too will not worry which is the best bang for the buck.
If we have the points and can use them instead of paying the cash, then that is what we will do.
That is why we have them. Enjoy!
