man it's halloween. I don't think I've ever not had to have the boys put on longjohns under their costumes. It was 56 at 8:00 tonight...........
they had a good time considering we drive the route and they go to about 4 houses. now they've gone to mom and dads for the night and I get to relax think I'm heading for a bubble bath with a glass of wine. It's even better since I don't have to get up in the am.

Hope all the Dis kiddies had a great Halloween and all the parents survived.

Older kids all hit parties...
Youngest went to 2 houses.. adopted Grandparents, our neighbors...and the family down the street always does a big good box/bag for the whole family (we do the same for theirs).... DH took DS home to pass out candy while I caught up w/ friend down the street.. one hour later I came home... as DS was SOS'ing me w/ a flashlight! ;)

Now, I"m listening to the Notre Dame game... SCORE! Golden TATE!! :) DD's favorite player!

Hope everyone has had a safe and happy time trick -or- treating!!

We had a great time at the trunk and treat last night. The weather was perfect! We had a ton of kids!! It was the first trunk and treat we ever had and it was a huge success.
Tonight we went to Mystic Seaport, kind of a haul but it was fun and the place really fits into the theme of Halloween. DS13's costume was the hit of the volunteers, they loved it! It was windy but warm, perfect trick or treating weather.

It was 43 degrees at 5 PM here!! No more trick-or-treaters after 6:30 it was so cold! And, yes, I noticed the full-moon an hour ago which explains the past few days!! Very cool, though!

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: It wasn't 56 at all today here - it was maybe 30 at 8:00. Honestly, we were super psyched that it wasn't snowing this year! Just snow left on the ground from the 2 feet we got earlier in the week. 56 sounds like amazing trick or treating weather! I don't think it's ever been that nice here in all my years of being out.

On the way to the wedding, I noticed it was 74 (around 3:00 pm), and on the way back I noticed it was still 66 (around 9:00 pm)! What a night for our trick or treaters (and a great afternoon for an outside wedding!).

Glad to hear all the kids had fun. We couldn't see the moon because of the rain that moved in (not that the boys cared) I would have loved to get pics of them with the moon. maybe we'll do a re inactment tonight.

Once again the weatherman is confused (maybe his brain is still water logged from summer) 11/1 and I've got windows and doors open and the wood furnace has been out for almost a week, although yesterday i did bring in 5 loads of wood I'll have the boys do the last 3 loads today. I have a bad feeling that this is going to snap and we'll have a foot of that white stuff in the blink of an eye. I'm going to duck after I say this cause I have a feeling there will be some flying bricks coming my way but I honestly hope it does come I HATE the brown of nov. course we need the ground to freeze first.
