Best Childcare....

Hi everyone! We are going home in July and staying at the BWV. I know the BW has childcare, but if you have experienced any others, I would love your opinion! My daughter is 4 yrs old and this year, my DD and I would love a nice dinner out w/o a wonderful, abeit demanding, child. In fact, I would love a nice dinner w/o ordering chicken nuggets or mac and cheese! lol

We were very pleased with the service at WL when we were there in Feb. '97 (2nd visit). Have also used the in-room baby sitter service with pretty good results.

When my kids were young they loved the Neverland Club. They begged to go there. They actually turned down Hoop Dee Doo one year in favor of Neverland. They have a kiddie buffet and lots to entertain the kids. They had games, animal shows, pictures w/Goofy, and a pirate ship. We never used in room sitters. I was always afraid to leave the kids alone with a stranger. Atleast in Neverland they were surrounded by lots of kids and adults.

Mickey7861, Where is the Neverland Club? What ages do they take? What are the rates? Any information you have would be great! I would love to take advantage of something like that for one evening!

Hi, the Neverland Club is at the Polynesian Resort. When our now 11yr DD was 4 she LOVED it. They serve dinner, Goofy comes over for a visit and they would bring animals from the now closed Discovery Island. Later in the evening, they bring our pillows and blankets for watching a Disney movie on a huge screen. There is also crafts, a fort that looks like Scrull Rock( from Peter Pan)and video games that need no quarters(Yahoo). My daughter never wanted to leave and always wanted to go back the next night. It is pricey but well worth the price considering the fun that they have. During the more busy seasons they do tend to fill up quickly so make you reservations as soon as you can if you decide to do it. Have fun!

Sorry, Spicey- I know that the minimum age is 4 because our daughter wasn't able to go when we were there in February.

We have used Kindercare in-room sitters twice. Never had a problem and, this last time, she was really great. She took our daughter out onto the Boardwalk to get her face painted, have dinner and watch fireworks. Much better than sitting in the room all night.

There's no proof of age requirement. It is a great experience. The prices I paid were so long ago I'm sure I'd be way off. I know it was per child per hour. They had sooo much fun, and we got to have a couple of really nice dinners.

Synonymous can you verify that the top age is 12 I have heard somewhere else that it might be 14. Oh yes and regardless of age they have to be pot-trained right?

I'm afraid I don't know- I was only concerned with the bottom end of the range. I've got a long time before I have to worry about the other end ;)

THe price is $8/hour per child which include dinner (pizza, chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, fries, beverage). My kids liked it, no visit from any characters though. They do give you beepers. I felt the kids were very safe there and would use them again.
