Christmas Day Parade filming 12/3 to 12/5

Register to participate in the 2009 Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade, which will be filming in the Magic Kingdom Thursday, December 3 to Saturday, December 5.

This is of note to any photographers because (I've been told) they remove the flag pole and the garland across main street to film this parade. So, you can get that once a year shot from the train station platform clear down to the castle, barrier free!

Thanks for sharing. I really think that they should re-remove the flag pole for sometime during December 12-18 without filming the parade so I would have the opportunity to get that shot. ;)

They film ALL day, different segments so when you arrive the flag pole will be gone..but..there is a "filming platform" @ the train station circle that gets in the way of a decent "down the street shot".

The pix were great! They show exactly what you have to deal with in this configuration. I guess you would have to ask if there was a golden hour when the flag pole went down and the platform wasn't up yet.
