View Full Version : Truth or Fiction?

Someone reported on a different board that they were unable to reserve a BWV Grand Villa for next year. They were told that all the GV's would not be available from January-May and if they had a problem to contact the top guy at DVC.

Truth or Fiction (or a misunderstanding)? Does anyone have a reservation for Jan-May 2002 for a BWV GV?

I had heard that they were going to refurbish the grand villas.
I have no real confirmation on that though.
Sorry

I read that post too. I questioned it's truth since I can't imagine they would do all of them at the same time. How many GVs are there in BWV?

I posted the question about the remodeling a few days ago when I was told that I could not have a GV for Jan. 2002. They said it was remodeling. Doc replied and said he asked around and nobody knew (at OKW) what was happening.

The mystery continune.

:)

By the way how many GV's are there?

I visited BWV the first week of March. Exterior work was underway on the inn side of the Boardwalk down to the ESPN Club. There were protective covers on the outside of the rooms that were being painted to keep paint from splattering elsewhere. CMs told me that because of the ouside work, those covered rooms were not in use and would not be available for occupants until the work was done in that area, and as the work progressed elsewhere along the BW, other BW rooms would not be available. This could be why the GV could not be booked. It also could contribute to why BW seems a little harder to book recently.

DVD shouldn't be taking more than 4% of the rooms out of service at any time. The 4% is what they own and is required by FL just for this reason.

There are 7 GV's at BWV- but I can't believe that all would have to be out at the same time for any reason. I asked at the members update and no one knew of any renovation plans for the BWV GV's next winter. As I mentioned earlier, I'd call back and keep asking. YOu can also call your guide for an explanation if MS doesn't provide a satisfactory one.

Still curious whether anyone does have a BWV GV reserved for this time period.
