Which Transfer Paper Do You Use?

Amy's, Avery, Merax (cheapest I found on ebay)....any recommendations for white shirts?

I initially bought Wilton (from Michael's) then Tailor (from Joann Fabrics). The Wilton peeled and crinkled while they were on the kids. The Tailor seem like junk I didn't even use them, there were no directions or website. Then, finally, I found Amy's. I ordered them and they came 2 days later from across the country! Loved them so much I ordered more and again received them 2 days later. She must use pixie dust or something at the post office!. Anyway, they are lovely, a nice feel, pick up the color well and are extremely easy to apply. One thing I did benefit from Wilton, is their easy image site. If I want to position a design a particular way or add text you can still use it, I just put Amy's in the printer instead!

Tip I got from someone - use microsoft publisher for setting up your designs. You can insert text you want. You can get as many on one page as you like to not waste transfer paper/magnet paper. I also used Amy's. I have done 2 others in dark transfer paper I got from Walmart craft section - they worked fine, I don't know the brand. only 3 sheets in the pack though. I have washed one and it stayed on well.

About Amy's....is it more like a dark transfer would be with the white showing as part of the design or does it blend right into the shirt? (did that make any sense?? LOL)
The reason I went with all white shirts this time was because of this....I hate to see the "border" that you sometimes get with the dark transfer paper!

Sorry to hijack the thread but I have a quick question for those using Amy's transfer that might apply to all transfers actually.

Can you print your transfers out days in advance of ironing them or is it better to iron close to printing them? If you can print them out a few days in advance how do you store them?

I use Amy's transfers and I like to let them set at least overnight before I iron them on. I think it helps the ink set. I have done them in a rush and they still look great.
