Hello!

I hope someone can help! I'm looking for a link to some UK bread machine recipes. My cousins are over visiting (from Sheffield) and I have used our bread machine to make cinnamon rolls and pizza crust. My cousin has a bread machine, but she hasn't used it much. I am giving her some of my recipes, but she would prefer some recipes that follow English measuring guidelines (not cups, Tbsp, Tsp, degrees in F, etc.)

If you have a tried and true recipe you'd like to post here or if you have a link to a great site with bread machine recipes, I'd appreciate it! I did a search on google and didn't have much luck.

Thanks alot!

(P.S. I haven't forgotten my Sheffield trip report, just haven't had much time to finish it yet...) Sorry!

Sorry I can't help with the recipes Karen but I just wanted to say thanks for some more on the trip report. It is really interesting reading and your photographs are lovely.

Basic white bread:

8 fl oz warm water
450g bread flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tbsp milk powder
1 oz butter
1/2 tsp dried yeast (fast acting)
2 tsp sugar

I know I've got a mixture of measurements (g and ozs) but my scales only weigh in grams

Or she could buy a set of plastic US measuring cups to bring home with her. I have a set because I am always finding US recipies that I want to use.

I'm sure there's a chart that will convert the temperature's somewhere on the net.
