View Full Version : How to get a Disney PIN promotion try reverse SPAM

I’ve read how others have received special promotions sent to them, not general promotions that everyone could get, called a PIN. Until recently we never received a Disney PIN.

You know how you get SPAM email? The theory of the companies that send you spam is that some small percentage of the people will take advantage of the offer they are sending.

Well, I did some thinking. Why could this not work in reverse?

So I set out to spam Disney in an attempt to get a PIN offer.

I set up many different email accounts. Fortunately I use MS Outlook so I can set Outlook to go around and check the emails for me.

Next I registered for anything Disney.

I made multiple accounts at Disneyworld and Disney cruise line for multiple members of my family. I signed up for the ‘give a day / get a day’ notification as well as other offers. I used different email addresses for each.

It worked! :banana:

Under an account I set up under my wife’s name for the give a day /get a day promotion we got our first PIN promotion.

This specific promotion was for a Disney resort discount, not a cruise. I checked and it’s very close to the Disney Visa OIC rates that we were already taking advantage of so I did not use it.

The point is my theory worked, one time at least. It’s far short of a scientifically valid study.

So it’s possible that you can increase your odds of receiving a Disney PIN promotion using this reverse SPAM technique.

Seems like an awful lot of work to me, especially for ones that are not real tech saavy. Glad it worked for you but did it take a lot of time? We have all five of us registered on every Disney thing possible and it does not seem to matter.

My Mom has received three pin code offers even though she is not registered for anything Disney related. They were sent to her by snail mail, rather than email.

About the only thing she did Disney related was buy theme park tickets with her credit card when she visited Florida and stayed off-site at the Sheraton Vistana.

For some reason, based upon the wording of the offers themselves (covered the more "adult friendly" resorts, focusing on golf outings, no mention of kids at all), we got the feeling that the marketing department was particularly targeting her for a mailing based upon her age group.

But who knows? I am registered everywhere and did receive a pin (which I used for our October stay) for kids stay, play and dine free.

Don't know if it is coincidence or not, but I signed up for the updates for the give a day/ get a day promo and got my 1st pin code EVER (for resort discounts) and Disney has had my e-mail address in an endless # of places for YEARS.

^^^ I tried that with my email, my husband's email, and my children's. It didn't work. All we got was a "Thanks for registering to give a day/get a day..." etc. :sad2::sad1:

Guess there's no figuring it out. :confused3
