So as some of you may know I am getting married in December, but I feel left out so I decided to start a very short planning journal. :rotfl: There won't be too much planning more of me just telling you about my wedding. :lovestruc
So here goes.

My name is Rebecca and I am 20 almost 21.
DF is Jeremy and is 25 almost 26.
Jeremy has two kids DS (4 almost 5) and DD (almost 2)

(yes we both like flipflops haha)
DF and I actually met online. The funny part is it wasn't intentional because I was not looking for a relationship. One night I was super bored and went on one of my fave websites and he started talking to me. He seemed nice so we continued talking. There were times I wanted to be rid of him but he was persistant. The only problem was I was just getting out of a not so good relationship that was very on and off again. He talked to me through the whole time and after a few months of us talking all the time I finally agreed that we could meet. I had never been so nervous in my life but everything went super well and on our first date we watched Aladdin, that is when I knew. :rotfl: Anyway we instantly knew it was right and we were around eachother almost every day when he didn't have to go back home. So in June he asked me a very special question.
We decided to go to the zoo in Colorado Springs and we had a fun time looking at all the animals and watching the crazy teachers scolding their students on various fieldtrips. Finally we decided to ride the ski lift. It turns out he is afraid of heights but on our way up he got up the courage to ask me to marry him it was very sweet. He then pulled out a very pretty pearl ring that almost fell out of the box and into the tigers, I am sure they would have loved it but not as much as me. :cutie:

After the proposal my mom and DF instantly started asking when and where we would get married. I had never in my life really thought about where I would want a wedding except that I didn't want it to be completly indoors. So DF started looking at venues while I continually told him I couldn't think about wedding stuff till July.
Then one day my mom texted me and asked what about Disney. To that I went WHAT WE CANT AFFORD THAT. Then she told me to look into an escape package. So that night we looked into it and it seemed like a good option for us. So my mom got in contact with them and it seemed like forever till we heard back due to the fourth of July. We originally wanted to get married at Sunset Point but since there is a small limit of people we decided to go with Seabreeze Point. A few days later we got our date December 14, 2009 at 2:30 pm at Seabreeze Point. :cutie:
The people attending my wedding are my mom, my stepdad, my stepsister, my beautiful 16 yr old sister (MOH), my 9 year old sister (flower girl), my dad, Nasa (who is the best man after cancellations but we are super happy with the decision) and Kaiia is the other flower girl. Also attending is an aunt and uncle, and possibly some family friends:rolleyes:
Up next Colors, announcements, and dress....:cutie:

Here is what my sister will wear it will be black with a hot pink sash.
So I guess you might have gathered what my colors are Black, White, and Pink. I had a hard time finding pics that really show exactly what I want so this will take some explaining. So if you are too scared to be in my mind leave now!
http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t68/elliottsthebomb/001_primary.jpg
I want it to be like this but a little less intense.
http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t68/elliottsthebomb/pinkblackdamask.jpg
but also like this but not that color of pink, as it is more fuschia and I want more light pinks and hot pinks.
This is exactly why I should not be planning a wedding. Anyway once I get pictures of my centerpieces I think it will make a lot more since. Hopefully.
Oh and here are my invitations/announcements I really love them.

So a little update last week I was super sick with the flu so I went and stayed with DF (right now we are going to diff schools in diff states. about 5 hrs away) and now I got him sick so he is going to come stay with me. I am so excited, which is kind of awful because he is super sick but I just miss him. anyway I probably won't be on too much for the rest of the week or weekend.
So as homework for those of you who have or are having an at home reception/openhouse what kind of foods are you serving. My mom keeps asking about this and I just can't seem to figure out what the heck I want to serve to the cute lil old ladies who will come.

We're actually goig with your colors. I was initailly using black/white/red because it was at xmas but now that we changed dates to June I figured we could do with out the red and make it shades of pink.

Cool! I have found it is fairly easy to work with. Most shades of pink look good together even if they aren't exactly the same. Where as it bugs me if shades of red are a little different :rotfl:

So this weekend was a really good one. I got to spend a lot of time with DF and I got my new ring. When we first got engaged he told me that my pearl ring was just for the proposal and he wanted us to pick out one together. After trying to avoid it for months and telling him over and over I love the pearl one we finally decided on a ring.
So more on the ring. In August a family friend of DF's gave him a ring as a gift for our wedding since he hadn't chosen one yet. Well turns out the diamond in the ring was worth, well it could have paid for our entire wedding including travel etc. The only prob was the ring was not really my style. So sine his family friend was a jewelery distrubuter in NYC he told us that he would have a ring made for me all we needed to do was decide on one. So after looking around this is what I decided on.
http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t68/elliottsthebomb/1237411470_1RZ3278ARP.jpg
So after weeks of waiting the ring finally got here this weekend. Of course DF hid it from me and did a cute proposal of sorts on main street, he is such a sweetie. Anyway I love the ring!! After we tried to take pics of it for hours but it always just turns out as a bright blur due to the quality of the diamond so no picture of it yet. :cloud9:
Oh I almost forgot I got my wedding band too. It is just a simply Tiffany band. No picture yet. The engraving is ...and they lived happily ever after

So random story. On Sunday I had some things to do so DF decided just to be safe that he would go get the diamond tested to make sure that it wasn't switched out. Well he went to two jewelery stores and both asked DF to propose to them. Another wanted to buy it on the spot. I think I may get mugged by some random jeweler lady.

So I haven't updated in awhile so here is a few updates.
First off DF and I decided that it would be a good idea to take a few days off from wedding planning because the stress was really getting to me. So after a few days off, okay I must admit I sneaked on here a few times, I feel much much better. I realized that the most important things of the wedding are planned and anything else is just extra that isn't nearly as important.
Also my mom came on Thursday night. I was really excited but nervous because I finally got to try on my dress. The whole dress process has been quite a pain. Since I was getting a more modest dress I ended up having to find one online which I really did like, but anyway it was supposed to get here no later than the first week of October we had paid extra for rush and everything. Well it didn't arrive till the third week of October when I was already back to school and couldn't go home. So my mom finally found time to come up here. We were really hoping that the alterations would be slight since we only had one month to fix it instead of 2 months like we should have. So I tried it on I loved it but there was one big problem it didn't zip there was about a 2 inch gap near my rib cage where it wouldn't zip. So of course I panicked and got very upset especially since the wedding is 5 weeks away.

So what are you planning to do with the dress? Surely someone will be able to get that fixed up in less then 5 weeks??

After a lot of tears and a very long night I woke up feeling super bad, I seriously wanted to stay under the sheets and never ever get up. Thankfully my mom was there and she started calling around and we did find a lady who could do it. We went and she made me feel much better I could tell she really knew what she was doing, my mom who does a lot of sewing agreed. She told me she had taken out one dress 8inches :scared1: which made me feel a lot better as well as her having to fix a lot of dresses from a certain other bridal shop ( I am pretty sure it was David's Bridal) She didn't think that altering the dress would be any problem, so bridezilla moment averted.:woohoo: She was worried that I wouldn't want to pay $15 for her to put the like 20 buttons back on the dress, too cute.:cutie: Anyway she charged $165 for it all which I didn't think was too bad but I really don't know much about alteration costs.
So I have my next fitting this Saturday I am hoping this solves most of the problems so she can then get all the other alterations and bustle done so I can ship the dress out before but we will see. It was such a relief once we got that done and we shopped the rest of the day and now most everything of my wedding is planned.:banana::banana:
Now I just need to stop eating so she doesn't have to take the dress out another 3 inches.

There isn't too much to update but I have been in a but of a rutt lately. I am a little dissapointed that I don't have anyone to go with me to my dress fitting on Saturday. My family all lives 5 hours away and I really don't have any girl friends that I am close enough with for me to feel comfortable with at the fitting. My best friend who is a guy I know would give me his opinion but I just don't think we would be quite comfortable. So I guess I will be going to my fitting by myself, well DF is going but he is just going to sit in the other room. Support from a distance! :)
Anyway my wedding is less then 5 weeks away and I really wish it was just tomorrow I am getting very antsy. I hate being away from him all the time. It's almost all over though.

I am trying to get over it mainly because I know I could find someone to go its just not someone i would feel completly comfortable with.
