Reminds me of the Showboat in Atlantic City sans the gambling and liquor. Wait a minute, I just had an idea...lol

I was hoping to be able to see Tiana's Showboat Jubilee at Disneyland this year. They're doing it New Orleans style, with a jazz band and parade through New Orleans Square, up to the Rivers of America, they putting on a show there as well.

Miss all the fun stuff....

I have a feeling if this movie takes off as it should, you will be seeing a lot more of Princess Tiana's Riverboat Jubilee!

I believe there was some concern because Maddie sounded a little too much like Mammy, so she got a name change.....

That's AWESOME!!!
We're SO excited about the addition of Princess Tiana!
We order all of our DD's hair products from a company called Carol's Daughter. They specialize in natural products for African American hair and skin. About a month ago, they came out with a whole line of Princess Tiana products! Needless to say, DD has the Princess Tiana shampoo, conditioner, and bubble bath!! :goodvibes She already has the Tiana dress too. :)

Hopefully someday soon we'll be able to take her to Disney World and meet Princess Tiana in person!

I'm so glad they finally have an African American princess ! Diversity is the greatest :) Hope she does well in theatres and is a staple in Disney just like Cinderella and Aurora. Go Tiana ! :thumbsup2

My question is: If there is finally an African American princess, why is her prince white? :confused3

Diversity comes in all shapes and sizes....and for what it's worth, I think, not sure on this one, but I think he is Spanish.....

::yes:: Yup he's voiced by a Brazilian actor.

He says he's the prince of something that sounds like "Metanoia" (a greek word for "transformation" or "change"). I think he's meant to be a latin/creole mix.

Ooh, a latin prince. Well, that's a bit better I suppose. And maybe this movie will pave the way for future African American princes and princesses? One can only hope. I'm just sick of seeing the same looking prince over and over.
