**October 27 2009, 180 Day Reservation Thread**

This thread is for discussion starting October 27 of the restaurant reservation switchover while it's in progress, so we don't end up with a bazillion threads on the same subject tomorrow.

Anything about when you called, what you booked, what you couldn't book, how the system functioned, etc. should be posted on this thread, or will be moved to this thread.

We just closed all of the other October 27 threads that I could find (can you believe that there were over 20 in the past week?!?!) and are redirecting everyone to the "live" thread!

My plan is to try it online at 3 am just in case, I'll then try it online at 6 am and if I haven't booked them by the time the phone lines open up I'll be on the phone then. I probably don't *need* to since tomorrow is exactly 180 days from when we go but the thrill of the chase is half the fun LOL

Sorry this is too late to help anyone but I called this evening (WDWDINE) to ask a bazillion questions and as always the CM was very helpful with everything AND told me all of the park hours and spectromagic schedule for my week of vacation in March. These hours are still not showing up on the website... It varies slightly from the same week last March, primarily with one less night of the Spectromagic parade... and not open as late this year (closing an hour earlier at most parks) Easter must have fell closer to the same week last year than it does this year.

The EMH days/parks were the same as last year (week of March 21-28).

Hope that is somewhat helpful/reasurring for those who are booking based on EMH schedules..

Gonna try to sleep a bit before the buzzer!

I actually finally got off my butt today and made some more reservations for our Jan trip (window opened 10/15). Got CRT, Le Cellier, Kona, Sci-Fi, and Boma as our TS picks! :thumbsup2 Exciting! Online system worked flawlessly for me today, but it didn't the day my window opened, which is why I gave up and then delayed. :rolleyes1

I was just practicing one last time before catching a little sleep and the system just gave me this message...

I'm hoping it's because the Disney people are working overtime to load the system properly and make sure it is able to withstand tomorrow but something tells that's not it.

UGH! This is my first time making ADR's and we're going deluxe...here's hoping for some serious pixie dust in a few hours because I really think we are all going to need it!

If you click on "dining" it still says.... "Book your dining 90 days in advance" near the top. Nothing about the 180. I'm cranky.....

Most park hours are out if you look at the old-style calendar pages. All of March is there, all of Feb except MK (although Wishes is at 8pm all of Feb, and Spectro about three nights a week except the school holiday week which is daily).

No 180 days yet though. Luckily it's 7.12am for me in the UK, so I'll keep checking.

Ditto. Can now get 24th Jan without a hotel ressie entered, otherwise 23rd Jan.

... and for 24th Jan (just out of interest) a 6.30pm check for Le Cellier for four people gives 5.05pm or 7.25pm! Sheesh, some people are eager (erm, such as me...)

Luckily for me, I usually get up at 4am for swim team practice so I'm only up an hour earlier. I just went to bed at my normal 8am. If Disney is kind and opens up the system soon, I can go swim at 4:45 :)

(I think this is tied to the same data source as the cast member Hub calendar, the available info matches exactly)

Most parks are now listed up to April, but there are a few gaps still (e.g. no MK hours for Feb yet). However even where it says that no hours are available, you can still drill down to the parades/shows list for each day which will help for SpectroMagic, Fantasmic, Wishes etc - just not the actual park closing time. EMH dates are also listed.

I think they meant "no luck" as in the reservation system hadn't opened yet. If they meant it was totally booked, then I'm in trouble!

We leave WDW this morning so I thought I'd try my reservations for March before going to the airport but I can't get the system to pull up my reservation at all. It just goes back to the screen with the 90 days only option. Looks like I'll have to do it later today.

Same deal with internet explorer, won't let me retrieve my reservation, pull up the calendar to manually enter the date and click check availability it wants to download some file instead!

I did hit save and that let me get far enough to pull up my hotel reservation. All it did was save a 1KB file in my firefox download folder. I figure I can delete it later...hopefully it wasn't a virus!

Well, the big day is here! I was up at three...just in case the system rolled over early. The system wasn't ready, but I made all of my tabs (without dates) and everything seemed to be working fine. I went back to bed. Then I was up again at 5:00 to get showered and ready for the day. When I tried to get my tabs set again, I couldn't pull down the calendar. I've never had a problem before. Please tell me it's not just me.

Again, yes :) But unless you're check-in date is April 15 or later, you don't need to put in your resort ressie. The only exception to this would be pre-paid things that one plans on using the DDP for.
