Last night getting gas for the Burb, the gas station window cleaners were filled with plain water, pretty common up here for the summer. As I wiped down the inside windshield, the wife was snickering about the lack of accomplishment with just a plain paper towel.

Then out of no where, I ran the wipers and once the window were clean I ran them again and saturated a paper towel with the window cleaner from my car. Like a hot knife through butter. :yay: I cleaned my side and said here you go, don’t miss any spots.

Got any car cleaning tips or travel suggestions, please add them

The best tip I have heard in a while, is to use dryer sheets to remove bugs off the front of the camper. Just wet the sheet and use it to wash off the bugs. I don't know why it works but it does.

Wish I knew this an hour ago when I was scrubbing the buggers off the front of my truck! I was about to resort to sandblasting or running into a wall and having the body shop take care of it. They did not show up so much when the whole truck was dirty, but they stick out pretty good right now!

Here's one for love bug season, those are incredibly hard to get off your car!

Try spraying PAM cooking spray or equivalent on the areas you want them to come off. When you wash the car they slide right off!:yay:

There is also a commercial product for this in the car cleaner aisle, can't think of what it is called but if I remember correctly it is made by the RainX folks that keep your windshield clear in the rain.

Remember, your mileage may vary, opinion on use of cooking spray on your vehicle is expressed without warranty or well, you know what I mean!

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers don't work on most things I've tried, but they do a great job on bugs, sap and bird poop on the car.

Dawn, a few drops in the spray bottle does wonders. One time at the fla/ga border I slipped a few drops into the water at the pumps. One guy was struggling to clean his windows. the whole car was caked in salt. He put the squeegee in and wanted to know what I added. Wow He said.
